A female Wolf in danger. Four Sexy Dragons determined to protect her. A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance.
Elizabeth is certain she’s not meant to rule the Southeastern White Tooth Pack. Since birth, she’s been told she was the wolf pack’s fated leader. She is, after all, the first-born of the pack Alpha. But how can she lead them if she’s never shifted? She doubts herself, but her fate is tied to the moon and Elizabeth is honor-bound to fulfill her destiny. To help Elizabeth, her mother presents her with a secret diamond necklace, magical jewels that have adorned the neck of every female in her family for hundreds of years.
But evil forces lurk in the shadows. Not every wolf shifter in the pack wants Elizabeth to take power. When the Wolf Council sanctions Elizabeth as the official Fated Alpha, enemies attack her family, killing her parents. When they discover that Elizabeth survived, she must flee for her life. With nowhere to go, help comes in the form of four sexy and powerful Dragon shifters.
The fierce warriors offer her their protection in their secluded mountain home. As Elizabeth mends, it’s clear the four Dragon shifters crave more from her. All four men desire her. Each wants to claim her body and heart and soul. As her enemies close in, can the men keep Elizabeth safe by their side and help her reclaim her place as leader of her pack?

This is a little embarrassing, but I love this series.
A young woman destined to be alpha being forced to leave her pack and seek help from 4 sexy dragons.
DROOL!!!!
It is not a young adult book because of all the sexual tension, so I wouldn't recommend this to a young girl. But if you enjoy fun adventurous reads with sexy males everywhere... pick this up.
Another book with potential that kind of didn't make it. This story is short (it's more of a short novella) and it has a cliffhanger. Neither of those bother me, but I think it's the cause of a rather weird part that happened way too fast. If she had extended the story a bit more to flesh out the connection between the two characters it would be more believable. The main character, Elizabeth, reads more like a 17-year-old and not a 24-year-old (I know there may or may not be much of a difference), but as someone with an aversion to teenage characters, her behavior and actions stood out and not always in a good way. I also didn't like the sudden transformation between coddled adult who is fairly weak to someone who is all "I must protect everything." I think the development was too fast. I also dislike those type of female character types. I'll still read the second book because I'm curious. Most of the other characters were ho-hum. I'm in it for two particular dragons. I'd read this if you have Kindle Unlimited (like I do), but otherwise: pass.
At times I enjoyed Elizabeth's journey. I felt for her, I pittied for her, but I wanted more. There was a lot more potential for sex scenes that I was waiting for but just didnt happen.
The plot was interesting enough. Liz is in love with Aaron, but his father disapproves of their relationship, so much so he's willing to take matters into his own hands (not going to spoil it).
So for some reason, Elizabeth is forced to escape her place and finds herself with a clan of dragon shifters....and the real adventure starts
Worth a read, but hoping for more steamy scenes in the next!
I realize this is a first in a series, but a first book needs to be able to stand on it's own merits and this one just did not hold up... There was so much story and different plots that got crammed into 114 pages that nothing was really done well. And the sex scenes... oh boy... (and I do not mean that in a good way...) I haven't read anything this cringy in a VERY long time.
Good start. I almost waited to review until I'd read all 4 books. They're so short they read like a serial, but the author's request for a review was too cute to pass up. Supposedly reviews make the author's heart beat so fast it might explode... plus there's a chance of getting kissed in a closet.
I really hate when authors do this. The story plot is good. The problem is that just as the story is building up it ends. I feel like the book is only partially finished. That being said, I will probably read the next book because I want to know what happens. I just hate when they break up a perfectly good book like this. A book should have a beginning, a middle and an end. This book has a beginning and then it cuts off. That is one of my biggest pet peeves and the reason for the rating it got.
After Elizabeth's parents are murdered by discontented fellow pack members, Elizabeth is forced to flee everything she's ever known and put her trust in 4 sexy dragon shifters that shes never met before. On the run from her former pack members, Elizabeth will have to unlock her inner wolf and become the Fated Alpha she was meant to be to stop her pack from falling to ruin.
This was a pretty good paranormal reverse harem. It's very short (basically novella length) so one of my biggest complaints about it, is that it isn't long enough! There are also quite a few editing errors, which seems to be a common place occurrence in less frequently read Kindle Unlimited novels. I didn't mind Elizabeth, but also felt like I didn't really get to know her since the book was so short. Her mates seem to be good guys but once again... The novel was too short for me to really get a good grip on their personalities. All in all, it wasn't a horrible start to this series.
What I loved most about this book was that it threw you right in to what the plot of the story was. No beating around the bush. Which was nice. However I felt like so much happened but at the same time nothing happened? I don't know.
There was only a little bit of smut and it wasn't even with her dragons. -.-
But I enjoyed where the story line is going. I've never read a book where different supernatural being mated with another species? That might not be the right word. Lol.
And that cliffhanger at the end! Yeesh! Good thing the next book is already out!
I can't wait to get to some dragon smut! I am like a feign for it! :D
This book was so terrible! The FMC acts like a 15-year-old. Everything she says, thinks, and does is juvenile—she’s supposed to be around 25, but you’d never guess it. I can’t even fully express how much I despise this book or list all the reasons why.
This story is like a novella, super short, and ends with a cliffhanger. Since I had the box set of books 1-4, I went ahead and started the next one… and that’s where my hate hit an all-time high. I DNF’d the second book in disgust.
First book in a series, the author has to fit in so many introductory information and build up her characters and all that jazz, this book, well, it had promise but, it missed the mark. Elizabeth was very wishy washy. I got to the very abrupt ending and well, lets just say I have no desire to spend more money or invest more time into this series which is disappointing.
This was a great start, Getting a glimpse into the pack, as Elizabeth endures the unforgivable and gets betrayed more than once, some really interesting aspects, cant really say too much as it was just 100 or so pages, still great writing ad an easy read.
2 & 1/2 stars The book held my attention enough to finish it. I didn't enjoy it as much as I have some other reverse harem or dragon books. And well, it's disappointing to not get any dragons until 1/2 way into this novella, I picked it up for the dragons only. I have a ton of wolf-shifter stories in my Kindle, I really wanted more of the dragons. I kept thinking the book was labeled with the wrong title or something, even closing & looking at the blurb again to make sure. The world building is minimal, just enough to not feel totally in the dark, the characters are flat, with no real development. I never really felt a connection to any of them, or at least enough to want to read more. The plot has potential, but was full of gaping holes that pulled me out of the story. This book did not lead me to the potential that was possible with the story. I definitely won't pay money to read further in the series.
Elizabeth is a latent wolf, she is 24 and still hasn't shifted, maybe she's like her mother, but she is still chosen as the fated alpha and that has to happen when she turns 25...What if she doesn't shift, will they still accept her as alpha?
There are those that would have her gone instead of alpha, not only gone, but dead. All that she believed to be all her life is turned upside down in one day. Her parents murdered and she is on the run, but not all is lost as a savior swoops in to save the day.
But Elizabeth has far more in store for her future than she counted on and it's not bad at all especially with dragons protecting her with far more to come.
I’m so glad I got this book! I’ve not read any stuff of Ava’s before but I’m gonna change that! Saying it’s another series about shifters both wolf & dragon , is like ho-hum, not another of those. Well, you’d be so wrong. Well filled out characters, fast paced action & well proofed ( I know, picky, right? But when done poorly drives me crazy!). And it’s Kindle Unlimited. Grab your 1st book in this series- I don’t think you’ll be sorry.
This first book is amazing! The story is expertly written and grabs you from the start! I am so excited to read the next and see what happens with Elizabeth and her dragons.
This story suffers from the insta-love aspect. The h experiences several traumatic events but seems to get over it quickly with the help of the dicks of 4 dragon shifters. It seems like she was dickmatized out of her trauma.
The traumatic events happen, and she ends up at a house where she gets surrounded by a group of paranormals. She goes out to battle a specific person. That person tells her some news. She then curls up and cries. What happened to all the other people that surrounded the house? There are a lot of problems like this.
The bad guy is a very typical and obvious bad guy to the point that it's almost a caricature of a typical "villain." This big bad is 1 person and not that big of a foe. Yet, this foe seems to catch up to her all the time and is really big threat to her and others. I mean get a gun and just take the person out. That part of the plot is ridiculous for so many reasons.
The super-fast pacing makes the h appear to be fickle and erratic. The book starts off with her in a long-term relationship with someone. Things happen and she ends up with 4 dragon shifters, that she finds sexy so keeps getting physical with them. She is okay getting with them even with the idea of something serious because they are hot. I mean she was in a serious relationship and still might be and has only just met them but sure that's all you need to decide to get serious is that the other person is hot and has a great body.
There are a lot of pacing problems, inconsistencies.
Very short 🌶 RH this book seemed to just be setting things up but felt like half a book. Slow start and odd development into too fast. I enjoyed the story and the Narrator for Audible was very good. Look forward to seeing this series goes.
Throughout the first part of this book I was convinced I was going to LOVE it but by the end I had downgraded to a strong like and I will detail some of my reasons below but there will be SPOILERS BELOW, so you are forewarned:
I really liked the concept of the heroine being next in line (behind her dad) as Alpha of their pack, and the conflict created by the fact that she can't shift so is viewed as a weaker potential Alpha by some. I liked that she had a secret lover who is the son of the villain, and the mystery of the necklace her mom gave her. The events that are the catalyst for her having to leave her home are top-notch as well, and I was excited by the appearance of the dragon shifters, and what they would mean to her, especially when the crabby one entered the book. All of the heroes seem interesting and sexy, though we don't know much about them yet.
What I would have liked to have seen more of, and think we will see more of in the next book, is scenes that create relationship building and emotion between her and each of the shifters - I understand the concept of fated mates and the immediate connection between them but I didn't really feel it enough here. I'm not sure how best to describe it, but I thought the transition of her having such strong feelings for her ex (of 1 day) to having them towards at least one or more of the dragons instead was too off-page or glossed over and if it was a slower, angstier process it would have made it better. I also hope to learn more about the dragons as individual characters, and their background as the series progresses. Towards the end, there is a good chunk written while she is in wolf form and I found this part a little excessive and almost repetitive in its description of biting, submission, etc.
In the end, the negatives I had are relatively so small compared to the positives, and may so easily be overcome in the next installment. Without a doubt I will be reading the next, it ended on a cliffhanger and I want to see what happens, and learn more about these dragons.
Interesting idea, but lacked substance. My biggest issues with this novel were editing, cliches and a weak/contrived plot line with unanswered questions. The editing issues were glaring - grammatical errors and typos. Then there were the issues with the cliches - mannerisms often attributed to men in fiction that I've honestly NEVER seen in real life, and possessive reactions or statements made by male characters that don't fit the reverse harem theme. The plot issues killed me the most, though. The dragons only show up half way through the novel, which was a HUGE red flag that there would be no substantive relationship development in this novel. There are also times when the female lead character doesn't seem to act in character. She's running for her life, yes, but is she even curious about what happened to the love of her life? She seems to go along with things without asking important questions. She lets things go without getting full explanations - the whole "don't show this necklace to anyone except..." thing is ridiculous. She has SO MUCH TIME to get the answer she needs, and yet the makes NO effort to do it. smh. Isn't she supposed to be a likeable and sympathetic character. If not, why would I read this book? I'm also irked by yet another novel that illustrates a woman who needs a man to save her.
Overall, it was okay. There should have been less time spent on the graphic sexual interludes with Aaron and more time developing the plot, but I'll read the next book to see where the story goes because I'm curious. Update: see my review for book 2. hated it so much. Things only get worse from here. Don’t waste your time on this series.
