Action-heavy volume, but a pretty fun read. I like that Touma wasn’t at the forefront for a change, and it gave a chance for Itsuwa and Kanzaki to shine in battle, although I can do without the Touma simping in between.
Another pretty average volume overall for me. Personally, I still find Itsuwa's interest in Touma rather lacklustre and honestly don't feel much connection between them, but she's definitely much better than Index lol. Anyway, even though I don't find the Itsuwa and Touma moments cute or anything, I do admire her strength and desire to protect Touma and the Amakusa. I think the best part of this volume was how thoroughly Touma was beaten for once, and I think it was really nice to see Itsuwa grow stronger in her will and determination because of Touma's actions. I personally thought that part where Touma helped her and she felt so helpless made me like her more and understand her feelings towards him better. I also really enjoy seeing the Amakusa as a whole since I've always thought that their desire to not be a burden to Kanzaki was sweet. Seeing Kanzaki ask them for help was definitely a highlight since it's so rare. However, even though I did enjoy the things that came out of this, I think the volume was still rather tedious and long for many moments.
