To say I'm enthralled by Vader comics would be putting it lightly. This issue had some amazing combat featuring our favorite Librarian Jocastu Nu. She puts up a pretty good fight for an old gal. It also delves deeper into the power struggle between Vader and the Grand Inquisitor. An interesting relationship to be sure. It's a good thing these don't count towards my book goal because they are way too easy to consume.
It really is thrilling seeing Vader try to keep his identity a secret as he tries to silence the Jedi. I also couldn't help but think how hard it will be for Luke to do research on the Jedi after all this.
I love this Jocasta Nu, Grand Inquisitor, Lord Vader love triangle that is going on! Such a fun comic.
The added depth for each of these characters is exactly what I crave as well in this phase of my Star Wars fandom.
This has been one of the longer mini-arcs within a comic book series I can ever remember, and what is amazing about it is that it does not feel dragged out/slog-effect at all whatsoever.
Not quite as good as the previous comics in this series but still a great read and with an unexpected ending. I found it a bit odd that the art seems to have taken as step down in quality though, I've enjoyed the illustrations of the previous comics but in this issue it all seemed a bit rushed!
This series is doing some amazing stuff. Despite being the titular character, Vader not overused. You learn a ton more about the Grand Inquisitor and this maybe be some of the best art in a single issue of Star Wars comics ever.
Issue#9 "But WHY? Why would you betray your order? Your brothers and sisters in the Force?" Jocasta to Vader (Anakin) . "I can feel the dark side pouring off you. It burns, like molten metal dripping onto my very soul." - Jocasta to Vader (Anakin) .
