One year ago, when attorney Rebecca Andrews swept into the courtroom and took control, it turned Quinn Montgomery's world upside down. Now, seeing her name on his manifesto, old memories are awakened, not of the hard-nosed lawyer who had far too many tricks up her sleeve, but of the sensual woman who spouted legal jargon from full pouting lips. Taking note of her destination, a posh vacation resort that caters to the more...private entertainment, a plan forms, and Quinn decides it's time to show the sexy lawyer a few tricks of his own.
Against her better judgement, Rebecca Andrews accepts her friend's invitation to an exclusive vacation resort. When her charter plane veers off course, the last person she expects to see piloting the craft is Quinn Montgomery - multi-millionaire and CEO of Montgomery Charters - the powerful man she once took down in the court room. Nor did she expect to find herself on his private island. She can leave, but when he tells her he wants to show her that real control comes in the form of surrender, Rebecca has two choices - run home to her boring life, or put herself in the hands of the commanding man who promises to give her everything she's ever wanted in exchange for total and utter submission.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cathryn Fox is a wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (she never says no to a brownie) pizza and red wine. Cathryn lives in beautiful Nova Scotia with her husband, who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. When not writing, Cathryn can be found Skyping with her son living in Seattle (could he have moved any farther away?) shopping with her daughter in the city, watching a big action flick with her husband, or hanging out and laughing with friends.
I had no idea what I was getting into with reading this one. (That's what happens when I add hundreds of books to my Nook, and leave them on there for over a year etc, I forget why I added it.) I like this author. But I wasn't particularly fond of this story.
What he did? Kidnapping. What else he did? Rape.
At no point did she consent to anything. He took her NOT leaving as consent, however this was after he had kidnapped her etc.
Rebecca gets more than she expected when her friends book her on an adult vacation. She never imagined Quinn would steal her away for his own personal enjoyment. So descriptive I can practically smell the salt air, Fox spins a good steamy yarn. However, the editing could been a lot better and the tale ends on a cliffhanger. I will not be reading more of this serial novel. The author does have a permanent place on my TBR list though.
1.5 stars Originally read in 2013 as part of Unraveled box set bundle.
Thought this was a stand-alone erotic romance novella but it looks like it’s part 1 of 3.
Rebecca the lawyer is essentially kidnapped by CEO Quinn when her friends send her to a sex resort for the weekend. She previously won a court case against his company. Quinn recognises Rebecca as a sub (he is a dom), she’s never been satisfied in any of her relationships.
It was okay overall, not interested enough to read the other parts (should be one story rather than split into three).
Sex scenes included: spanking, dirty talk, praise, blowjob, exhibitionism, a HOT fingering scene, creampie, aftercare, bathing each other, ass play, anal. There was sadly an instance of panty-ripping haha.
Maybe I need to just acknowledge that I'm just in need of a good erotic scene of my own. I can't seem to accept that Cathryn Fox should only be read to serve as a lubricant. [SPOILER] Rebecca doesn't have a spine or personalaty. And Quinn is really breaking the law in the worst way possible. It's just to much. Even so, I couldn't stop. What does that mean.
Enjoyable read, but a bit of a rip off! While I enjoyed this "teeny, tiny" novella that ended about 50 percent of the way into the book, I just couldn't help feeling it was completely overpriced at almost 1 Dollar per chapter, for 4 measly little chapters.
There's three books in this set - Yours to Take, Yours to Teach and Yours to Keep. I loved these books by Cathryn Fox. Because they're quick reads, my review will incorporate all three of them. While each one is a little different as the story progresses, what they all have in common is they all have a lot of steam up the pages sex and are perfect for a rainy/snowy day inside.
The books center around attorney Rebecca Andrews and Quinn Montgomery the head honcho of a company that Rebecca won a huge case against in the last year. There's undeniable chemistry between these two and while Quinn wants to explore it in every sense of the word, Rebecca has no interest.... at least that's what she tells herself.
When these two meet up again almost a year later it's at the Freedom Resort a place her friends sent her to so she could "loosen up" a little bit. Talk about loosening up - Wowza!!! Little did Rebecca know that Freedom Resort is a BDSM club and she's surprised to find that she likes being a Submissive to Quinn's Dominant. Let the sex begin!!
These two together are SIZZLING HOT!!! As they dance around each other throughout the series, they each face certain aspects of their pasts, Rebecca more so than Quinn and they each try to be what the other needs.
Can they change to be what the other thinks they should be? Does Rebecca face her past to allow her to accept what Quinn is offering her? Can she be the submissive in the bedroom when her job requires her to be a dominant force in court? To get all these answers and to read some of the hottest sex, pick up this 3 book set today.
Rebecca Andrews is an uptight lawyer that her friends thinks needs a sexual awakening get away so they book her a flight to an exclusive resort and tell her not to come back until she has at least a dozen orgasms LOL! It just so happens that the flight they booked her on is the same airline that she took to court last year - and the owner Quinn Montgomery brought strange feelings out in her.
Quinn checks the daily manifest and sees that the sexy lawyer that won a law suit against him a year ago is booked on a flight to the exclusive Freedom resort. He has been waiting for the chance since seeing her in the courtroom to show her just what a perfect submissive she would be - and here is his chance.
I got this book as part of the Captured Box Set and I have to say this story is HOT HOT HOT. Short - but if your in the mood for quick HOT BDSM read this is the story to read. I really do wish there was more to Rebecca & Quinn's story - like another 200 pages!! My second Cathryn Fox book and she is becoming one of my new favorite authors! Can't wait to read more of her stories.
And as far at the box set goes there are some great authors in this set and I can't wait to finish the other 8 stories!
ARC kindly provided by Cathryn Fox in exchange for an honest review
Thank goodness it is snowing outside because after I read Yours To Take by Cathryn Fox, I needed some fresh arctic air to cool down. If you are looking for a short, well-written erotic romance with some light BDSM, then stop your search and read this book.
Attorney Rebecca Andrews is a barracuda in the courtroom. However, when it comes to her personal life, she has never been able to find the right man to fulfill her needs. In fact, she is not even sure what she actually wants from a relationship.
Last year, Rebecca won a huge settlement for her client against multimillionaire and CEO Quinn Montgomery. At the time, they both felt a spark or awareness between them, although nothing ever came from it. However, Quinn had a sixth sense that what Rebecca needed was a man to dominate her.
When Rebecca and Quinn do get together, Rebecca is surprised to learn a few things about herself.
This story entertained me from the very first chapter. I was able to connect with both characters easily and their sexual chemistry was off the charts. I have read quite a few books by Ms. Fox and have enjoyed each and every one of them.
Rebecca's friends give her a weekend away from work and she gets "kidnapped" by Quinn. Rebecca was a lawyer in a case against Quinn a year ago and he hasn't forgotten Rebecca. Once he realizes she has booked a flight through his company he changes the pilot and wants to give Rebecca a weekend she won't forget.
This was so short (Im reading it as part of "Captured" - but the story was actually fairly well written and had good pacing, it didn't feel rushed. It did leave me wanting to know more about what made each character "tick" as this is more of a surface/insta attraction kind of story.
