I can’t say enough how much I appreciate the author’s simple format. You go straight to each delicious recipe WITHOUT ever having to wade through a ton of boring paragraphs of needless personal stories and anecdotes. I will follow this author for all cookbooks!
This is a free download from the publisher. Recipes included are Savory Acorn Squash Soup, Maple Dill Carrots, Spiced Applesauce, Cherry-Rosemary Pork Tenderloin, Spiced Red Wine-Poached Pears, and Festive Fruitcake. I don't know that this would work as a holiday menu at my house (no green veggies), but other than that all you need to add is beverages and guests. I'm looking forward to trying these recipes.
Instant Pot, the best invention in years. I use mine nearly every day and I am always looking for some new easy and scrumption recipes. I found some in this book. A good selection that are well written and easy to follow. Instant Pot allows us to eat at home more when we have been gone nearly the whole day and everyone is very hungry.
Not very many recipes in here, but it was free and I found one recipe I intend to try, a pork tenderloin recipe. It seemed as if the 20 recipes were basically one meal, pork tenderloin and a bunch of sides to choose from. It had one or two dessert recipes, fruitcake and a pear recipe. Couldn't decide if the pears were considered a side or a dessert.
I love my instant pot. These recipes are simple and delicious. I love the minimal hands-on time needed especially while working full time. It just makes life easier.
Some quick and easy foods to make during the holidays. Most ingredients if not all are readily available in local markets everywhere. Even an easy recipe for fruitcake.
