The series just keeps getting better the further I read. This book in the series shows Rosie struggling to forgive Bastien (and yeah he's been an idiot), struggling to figure a way out of her predicament with her evil queen mom, and trying to figure out how Demi fits into her life. It's alot.
I have to say Mary's other book series have a push and pull between two guys and it's normally the one that keeps running that I don't root for. But Bastien is such an endearing character. He does alot of stupid things, but he's redeemable and I find myself rooting for him instead of Rosie. Which is a good thing because it's fun to read a book and get to root for someone other than the narrator.
I'm also loving the Brotherhood and the addition of Link to the story. He and Mad are fun and add a little joy to the story.
Best moment of the book: Bastien finding Rosie thru the crowd, hand on his heart, mouthing the words "I love you". I won't tell you why that happens, but it turned me to mush, and totally solidified my new book boyfriend is Bastian the Bold. 😂

Initial Thoughts:
I am so done with Rosie and her inability to like a guy normally. Twomey writes that we should be shocked that Morgan, Her Majesty Most High (I'm not too fond of this name), was not thrilled to see Rosie alive and beautiful. Like, no duh, Morgan the greedy villain is not pleased to see darling Rosie here to muck everything up. We know Morgan le Fae is the real baddie, and Rosie will never see Morgan as a mom because that's reserved for her aunt. Although Rosie is constantly changing that relationship from being a mother-daughter, and aunt-niece to best-friend dynamic, it's hard to keep straight. Then another guy (not Bastian, Lot, or Green Wizard Guy) who is hot also sweeps Rosie off her feet, and despite EVERYONE telling her “it’s his job” she thinks that Demi likes her for her? I am so done with this ridiculous novel and will not be continuing the series, despite the cliffhanger ending Twomey left us on (again).
Characters:
Why not introduce another cast of characters, because Twomey thinks we have room to spare and care for her billions of characters. The concept of soumettre (which means submit in French), is essentially a manservant who will do everything and anything (sex included) for you, which is how Rosie is “given” Demi, and claims him to be her boyfriend. A bit more complicated than that, but Rosie, in Rosie’s way, befriends Demi, teaches him about fun, and confuses his flirtations with actual love. Thus, she quickly sets Bastine aside because she’s still mad at him. Rosie, she is just so slinky and I hate that about her. I do not know why Twomey acts like no guy has ever looked Rosie’s way, because the girl flirts with everyone, and her “need someone to hold me to sleep” is actually ridiculous. I think Twomey is keeping characters at arm's length and does not allow anything emotional to get in the way. Like with Rosie and Bastine, they really could have had a heart-to-heart reconnection and Rosie could explain with pain how he hurt her, which Bastine could tug on our heartstrings in a confession of love. But no, because Twomey is not that good of a writer, instead we get them yelling at each other, not listening, Bastine immediately pulls out the nicknames for them to finally “physically touch” and all is forgiven.
Plot / Writing:
What is needed for a sequel is to steadily move the plot, and introduce new ideas and new areas of the world. Where Twomey loves giving us new characters, this novel stopped at locations because Rosie never left the castle. The entire book takes place in one singular location that has Rosie bowling in her room with the new love of her life Demi, while nothing of importance happens outside in the realms. Avril coming back from the grave? Rowan also makes an appearance in his province? Yeah, apparently that did not cause any big splashes nor cause Morgan to pick up the pace on her evil doings. This plot is truly the beach episode of anime, as until the very end nothing actually happens, and the novel spends the majority of time with Rosie locked in her room making out with Demi. To Twomey’s credit, some bits and pieces made this novel “worth it”. Rosie meets her dad, Rosie's reunion with Kerrdick who like everyone said is temperamental, and the finding of the jewels that Morgan hid. Yet these were sprinkles amongst the garbage of Rosie whining, some truly awkward conversations, and a whole lot of bowling.
Conclusion:
I hate this novel and series so much, it's truly going nowhere, and I truly do not know how this novel can go on for the other eleven novels. If someone reads the series please tell me who Rosie ends up with because I bet it is still going to be Bastine!

Rich girl by Mary E Twomey continues Rosie’s story after she finally meets her mother. Queen Morgan seems to be as greedy as everyone claims. She seems evil, vindictive and mean, punishing others when she can’t punish her daughter. Teaching Rosie that she isn’t seen as a daughter, but as an object.
The characters are beautifully written and well developed. This is a world Rosie doesn’t know much about, and she is learning that she doesn’t like it. This isn’t the mother she dreamed of, and the family she always hoped for.
Rosie is determined to reclaim the stolen jewels and help Avalon to heal. My heart breaks for the things she needs to struggle through. She is very personable, and I want better for her, but am interested to see where things will go.
I can’t wait to see more and meet more characters. This world gets more incredible as I explore it.
Fans of fantasy and magic, and epic adventure need to read this series. The characters suck you in to their world and you’ll never want to leave.

If you were expecting Rosie to have a happy life now that she's reunited with her mother, you must have the happiest outlook on life.
Rosie is alone. She's without her once favorite Untouchable, her newfound cousin/brother and the woman who is rightfully her mother. And now she's in the lion's den. A very moody lion at that.
Rosie's job is to locate the hidden stones, but that seems impossible when her mother cannot stand the sight of her and wont let anyone else look upon her. And as Rosie finds solace in a few friends she quickly realizes her mother sees all. And will not hesitate to use her only companions against her sensing the weakness in her kindness. But when Rosie realizes her father isn't a brain dead stump and they can actually communicate the tables seem to be turned as she realizes the King was her mother's confidant. His knowledge could be the key! As long as they can search for the stones before her mother marries her off!

I was never a true fan of fantasy, until I started reading Mary Twomey's books! Aside from the fact that all of her series' capture you, I can't believe how each book keeps getting better, these kind of books are the ones where you find a way to place your Kindle while you are doing the dishes, or vacuuming, or whatever else you have to get done during your day, because once you start, you just CAN'T put it down! This is book 3 of an ongoing saga but I'm not going to tell you about the story, read the blurb! What you do need to know is this book EMBRACES you, the characters CHARM you, and you even come to terms with the ones you love to hate, and, not to mention, the writing is phenomenal! The plot is so intriguing, and just when you think you know where you are headed, BAM, you are moved in a completely different direction!

The intensity is overwhelming! I simply cannot stop reading. The question of trust looms large for Rosie—can she rely on her Brownie guard, her attractive servant, her own mother, or anyone at all? Just as it seems she might escape the turmoil, she's thrust into an abyss, potentially lost forever. For those enthralled by the first two books, "Rich Girl" offers an irresistible continuation that leaves you craving more. And for those yet to start the series, the question stands: why wait any longer?

Can’t wait for the next book.

Rosie's trust in those around her will be put to the test in this continuation of the incredible series by Mary E. Twomey! I don't think I have ever detested a character as much as I do Rosie's mother. This poor girl just can't catch a break! I'm always excited to see how she is able to rise out of every sticky situation though. And with that ending... I am so ready for more excitement in book 4!

The story gets darker, Rosie gets a bit more annoying since she's acting so stupid all the time, but the cliffhanger was well done, sooo.. I bought the next book.

I read the first three books and didn’t find them all that great. The storyline feels dragged out for some reason and the conversation feels forced. But somehow I will still buy the next bundle of three books and read them?

Argghhh what a cliffhanger!!!! Poor Rosie just can’t catch a break on this journey of hers. Again an amazing book that hooks you in completely. I love the magic of this series - the plot just thickens and never bores you. I’m totally invested and need the next book like now!

This one was a sad one. I cried through some of the stuff the protagonist goes through. Cant believe how fast i read these books. This series has me hooked.
