I had to read this book for academic purposes. The texts are unorganized and full of errors. There are some tons of circuits and waveforms without proper explanations. A large portion of mathematical problems use equations out of the blue. There are also some figures and equations referred but not included. I have never read any academic book with this amount of errors. Not recommended if you don't want to see nightmares before the exam.
Absolute garbage! It's astonishing that someone can write over 1000 pages and still fail to provide any useful information. Not recommended if you want to grow intuition over the topics, or understand the topics mathematically, or if you want to be able to solve problems......basically, not recommended for anything! -_-
Power electronics is the branch of electrical engineering that deals with the processing of high voltages and currents to deliver power that supports a variety of needs. From household electronics to equipment in space applications, these areas all need stable and reliable electric power with the desired specifications. Power supply in one form is processed using power semiconductor switches and control mechanisms to another form, supplying a regulated and controlled power. While switched-mode power supplies are a common application of power electronics where power density, reliability, and efficiency are of prime importance. Motor control is gearing up with more electrification in transportation systems. Precise control and efficiency are key characteristics for power control applications. The study of power electronics is thus multidisciplinary, involving semiconductor physics, electrical motors, mechanical actuators, electromagnetic devices, control systems, and so on.
Want to pass your exam by studying the night before? Then this book isn't for you. Want to learn power electronics by studying the whole semester? Then this book is DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU.
I don't really know what is exactly the purpose of this book.
