Sadie Matheson is a bad witch. Not like a cool bad witch, who kicks ass and takes names while being evil in the process. But like a crummy, stinky, inept witch who will never live up to the Matheson family name or the greatness of her mother or grandmother. When another great spell goes awry and she turns her dachshund into a parrot who still thinks he’s a dog, she decides maybe it’s better to leave Salem and give up witching altogether…until the O’Sullivan boys come along and turn her life upside down. An ancient prophecy? Check. Four, sexy warlock heroes with giant…egos and even bigger hearts? Check. A book you won’t want to put down? Ohhh yeah!
I loved this! I loved that it was a stand-alone and that it was a sexy as hell RH paranormal fantasy! I also loved the MC had a dachshund named Samwise as a familiar she gets bonus stars for that!!!
I'm going to admit upfront that reverse harems have become my new book addiction and I can't seem to get enough of reading them. It's difficult enough to weave that intricate spell of interaction between two characters, it's mastery to see it woven between three, four or more. There's a beauty and a symmetry to it that you just don't find in other types of books. I've read or at least given a chance to most of the options in this type of novel currently available on Amazon. Finding the right balance between crossing the line into book porn or coming across as more than a group of friends than a romance is an artistry in and of itself. While this story does strike that balance and offers a page turning plot most of the cross between strangers and love seems to occur off page. The plot was all encompassing and the character relationships some what lacked for that. It was like they met and jumped right into the deep end which isn't my style. While I get frustrated with slow burns that don't even result in budding relationships in the first book, there's something to be said for the reptiore between characters that they take the time to establish. This book was good, but I honestly feel it would have been better as a trilogy which took the time to add some slower moments before rushing to closed doors and I love yous. I'd definitely recommend it but I can't help but be a little disappointed at the potential it had to be so much more.
I couldn't even make it past 25% thanks to the many cliches. Awkward, chubby girl with a mother who doesn't approve.... no good at magic until her harem "teaches" her..... after 5 minutes of conversation, letting go of any normal feelings about being kidnapped, then agreeing that yes, contrary to everything else in her life, she must be the saviour because the guys said so....
I will not pick up anything else by this author unless/ until she stops writing for preteens. Even then, I'm not certain it would be worth it.
another dnf at 60%, one star because the plot was so promising but the ridiculous overbearing relationship that was build between the characters was based on thin wind, no development whatsoever in the relationship because at time you felt like the plot was taking over and when it didn't it was just smut.
When I tried to focus on the plot I found myself uninterested, it didn't intrigue me much, there was a bad guy, she is the chosen one, they are her "whatever they are". that is the story. oh and they f*** a couple of times.
I figured out that my problem with Savannah Skye s books is that I don't vibe very much with the writing.
Seamus, Michael, Mick and Patrick have their work cut out for them!
Not only do they have to be apart of a prophecy but convince Sadie that she is a big part in it and she is not as bad as a witch as she has been convinced that she is.
This is a great fast-paced book that has plenty to grab your attention.
I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a honest, unbiased review.
I liked this book but it definitely what is a Insta love with a medium firm and took away some of the rOmance. I really liked the magic in the story however she learns everything in one day and again it took away from the story for me. It was really cute very quick very easy read and worth it for a low spice rh
Sadie Matherson is from a long line of beautiful and powerful Salem witches. Small, curvy , red hair and brown eyes, Sadie is everything a Matherson witch isn't. Then there is her magic. What little she has tends to go wrong, when ever she uses it. She continues to try. She has a big heart and a lot of friends. She loves her little shop. Her world changes when her besty, drags her off to a Halloween party and she meets the O'Sullivan cousins.
Mick, with the beautiful green eyes, a quiet warrior, an alpha protector. Patrick, laughing brown eyes and blond hair, sweet mischief maker. Seamus, with his kind gray eyes and auburn hair, a strong man and quiet scholar. Then there is Michael, the oldest of the cousins, intense blue eyes and dark hair, a sure and confident leader. Four powerful warlocks and they have been looking for Sadie, practically all their lives. She is the key to a family prophesy. A power hungry warlock, who added fuel to the Salem witch trials is poised to bring terror and evil to Salem once again. Sadie is the key to stopping it. Loved it, a great Halloween Romance. Sadie can't believe the what the O'Sullivan's are telling her. Thinking it all an elaborate joke at her expense. There have been signs of something coming. Looking at the faces of her friends and neighbors, she puts her trust in the O'Sullivan men. As she spends time with the cousins she begins to fall for them. The four men have been in love with her long before they ever met her. They have know for a long time that she was theirs to protect, love and share.
Skinner makes his move early. Ready or not Sadie and her men have to face him to save not just Salem but all those who fall outside the ordinary world.
A sweet and steamy, fast paced Halloween story. MFM. No MM. I love Savannah's books they are an automatic buy for me. I know I will get a great story.
Sadie Matheson comes from a long line of strong witches. She though feels inept. Right now Sadie is making a potion and when she gets it done she looks around and nothing has happened. Then her pixie friend Belinda comes by to invite her to a party and she ask Sadie when she got a parrot. That's when Sadie realizes she turned her dachshund familiar Samwise into a parrot. She apologizes to Samwise and told him she'll fix him tomorrow. Belinda dresses Sadie for the party. Sadie who is a full figured woman doesn't like the short cleavage bearing gypsy dress. Belinda says she looks great and they head out to this huge party. While there the owner Mick O`Sullivan meets her and then stays with her the rest of the evening. He has a wonderful Irish brogue and so due all his cousins who shes going to meet. Nick takes her to a room and Patrick O`Sullivan is there. Then Seamus O`Sullivan comes in. The last one to come in the room is Michael O`Sullivan and he's apparently the leader of these men. Then Michael comes close to her and grabs her and next thing she knows she's transported into a room with a fireplace. But this room is all spelled and she can't get out anywhere after trying the door and windows and she's getting really angry. After a while Michael appears and he explains to her the prophecy that she's involved in that she is the Good Witch that destroys the evil Mage Rowland Skinner who is going to be reappearing to destroy all magic and the light. Needless to say she doesn't believe him. Then Seamus, Mick and Patrick come in the door to help Michael explain the prophecy. This is just the start of the story and so much more happens. Then you also find out why Sadie doesn't believe in her self is because of her stuck up mother Delila. Plus tons of yummy romance and sex both funny and very sexy.

The first thing that I thought when I finished this book was that it could have been so much better- there was so much potential in the premise but it was lost in the execution. I liked the idea that Sadie was a bad witch but that she was destined for great things. But I feel like it's such a cop-out to fix the situation by making it so that she isn't bad at magic, she just has a super-special kind that none of the normal witches could recognise or train. She'd become such a stronger person from being rejected from snotty witches due to her magic, and I feel as though that was almost lost because it turns out she was powerful. I don't know if that's me being pedantic or not. With the romance, it was a combination of instant infatuation combined with her doubting their every move because she's a larger woman and they couldn't possibly want her. Plot-wise, it was so lackluster. The focus was basically the training. The romance magically became real for the end and the training lasted longer than the fight at the end. I also felt as though there wasn't really any suspense- you know who the villain was, when they were coming, and who was helping them. It was just so bleh that I'm surprised that I actually remembered these plot points. Will I read any more books by Savannah Skye? I wouldn't seek them out but I'd be willing to give her another go if I liked the sound of the book. Would I recommend this book? I'm gonna' go with no.
Sadie came from a long line of Salem witches. Strong witches. So why was she such a failure? She couldn't cast spells or do potions. Ask her familiar AKA wiener dog AKA parrot. She wasn't the gorgeous svelt female like her mother, said mother reminded her daily. The only real support she had was her friend which is why she was dressed in this revealing costume and drinking at this party. When the gorgeous Irish man offered to buy them a drink, she was sure it was Belinda he was flirting with, until he turned those eyes on her. Aaaaannnnnd that was how it all started.
Mick had three cousins all as hot as himself. She ended up in their mansion listening to a fantastic story of doom. Doom if she didn't answer the prophecy. But how could she be in a prophecy people and the world of magic would certainly have chosen more wisely. The Irish hotties had the job of changing her mind and so much more. Of course, she'd have to stop wanting to jump the bones of each one if they were to succeed. Or maybe not.
Their work cut out for them, would they succeed? Could the four protect her? Could she protect them?
Another supernatural steamy offering from the author. Standalone and did I mention steamy. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
If you are looking for something with world building and deep character with meaningful connections skip this. If you want something that kinda limos at a story but really just jumps from one sex scene to another this is your book.
It's a paranormal reverse harem but it literally just dumps you into the relationship and the crux of the peril. There isn't any building it up, you know meeting the guys, spending days or weeks getting to know all or one of them and then boom the big reveal. It's high I just met you and this might sound crazy but prophecy baby. And then less than 24 hours later the main chick is saying:
"More than one man? Like, four? Like, all of them? My brain kept screeching. Yes, I was attracted to all of them. I couldn’t deny or ignore that anymore."
This is literally right after she has a conversation with one of them about how she finds more than one of them cute. The scandle! Finding more than one man cute! She should be wallowing in shame right now! No really the author has her wallowing in shame. From here it devolves into boring and cliche sex scenes, literally following the formula for this sort of thing, then a brief, and I mean brief, battle with the big bad evil where instantly all of her issues with her mom are resolved before she goes home for an orgy.

She's an inept Witch who's really just in Need of some Hunky Warlocks to bring out hidden Power awaiting her Fate... Who woulda guessed it'd take FOUR of 'em to Draw it OUT... Each offers such a Delightful Treat, it'd be Shameful to choose just ONE & cast aside the other ones... Besides, each provides a skill she'll need in the upcoming Battle... If she's to Save the Town she'll need them all... Besides, Bad Witches have MORE Fun!! When you are into magic in your books and hot men this is your story.
Sadie is living her life, but isn't totally happy with it. her shop isn't doing as she hoped it would and she gets crazy of her mother. But the day the book starts is the worst till then, she changer her dog by accident in a parrot.
Her friend takes her on a night out and she meets the O'Sullivan boys. They say she is the witch who will destroy the evil in guy in Salem who is about to rise again. Sadie doubts this because of qualities, but who says no to 4 hot guys who want to train you?
Along the way Sadie discovers she can do more as she thought she could if she believes in herself. The hot moments with the boys are definitely helping too. They get hotter and hotter, first they take care of her one by one, but when they give her a steamy hot night with two of them, pffff. And in the end with all four of them? Just wow.
In between they train Sadie which is great to read about, making her ready for the final battle. Will Sadie succeed? For that you will have to read the book, you won;t regret it when you are into a hot magic story.
I'm not really huge on RH books, but I enjoyed this book. I loved watching Sadie come into her own and mature, and I definitely enjoyed the O'Sullivans.
I will admit the actual showdown was quite a bit of a let down. I understand that in this genre a lot of the plots are simply back ground for the RH to develop. I have read one author who that didn't apply to, but most of the others don't have any true plot. That's not the case here. I got a feel for the side characters, the men, and Sadie most importantly. It was an enjoyable read and transported me to Salem for an hour or so.
Since I'm a speed reader reading a series can be delightful, but also a pain as I wait for each book to come out. That's why I often wait for a series to be finished or at least several books in before I start reading. So having a stand alone book was nice. Although, if more of Sadie's adventures come out I'll be sure to read them!
This is a good paranormal reverse harem romance that features a young so-so witch and the four warlocks who believe she has an all-important destiny to fulfill. I enjoyed Sadie’s character along with her klutzy efforts with magic and the often humorous end results. The O’Sullivan cousins are forces to be reckoned with – each with their own innate magical power and personal charm. Seems that it’s their destiny to train and assist Sadie as they await the fulfillment of a centuries old prophecy – one that will have far reaching repercussions for Magicals and Ordinaries alike. I found that the suspense leading up to the final confrontation was greater than the event itself. For all the hype surrounding him, the villain was somewhat lacklustre. There’s plenty of magical action, some drama, mystery, humour and several steamy scenes including some ménage encounters.

I have to say that I'm on the fence about this book. There were things that I really enjoyed about it and things that I did not. The Good: 1. As a reverse harem there is quite a bit of steam. 2.For the most part the characters are likable and share good chemistry. 3. The plot is kind of cute and fun but also has a dramatic and intense side. 4. The humor was often laugh out load funny. The Bad: 1. I got the whole lack of self confidence and failure at being a success at witchcraft but I do wish that her men had not come across as the complete solutions to the problem. 2. I wish Sadie had not come across as so helpless and in need of saving. 3. Would have loved more complexities and details to the story. 4. It would have benefitted from more emotions and a deeper depth to what was provided. This is only the first book in this series so I have hope for the future books. I did like this read and I want to see what happens in the next book. I'm posting a truthful, voluntary review.
I thought this was a pretty good start to this RH series.
The characters were definitely interesting and captured my attention within the first few chapters but I felt like the pacing of the novel overwhelmed them and the plot. There is a lot that goes down in this novel but I felt like some parts were very stretched out and others happened within a page or two leaving me confused.
It also doesn't help that I speed read through novels and I found myself having to go back and re-read some parts because major events happened so fast that I missed it the first time around.
Even with the pacing issues I would still recommend giving this book a chance. I don't normally like "witch" paranormal stories but I really enjoyed this one more than I thought. Definitely check it out if you a fan of the paranormal RH genre.
Sadie was the type of witch who turns her dog into a parrot until she encounter the O’Sullivan. Sadie Matheson was not a very successful witch as shown by her turning her dachshund into a parrot but then she meets the four O’Sullivan cousins. They tell her she is the Good Witch of Salem in a prophecy about the Purging when dark will cover the world. She feels that she is the wrong witch as she seems to be weak but as they train her she improves quickly learning the aspects of magic she has never dealt with before. She is also getting closer to Michael, Mick, Seamus and Patrick O’Sullivan. A magical romance to relax and enjoy.

Sadie has been taught by her mother that she is so less in everything..from magic to physical beauty. Then on Halloween her bestie Belinda talks her into going to a party. There she meets four gorgeous Irishmen. They take her to explain to her that she is the one to stop a prophecy from ages ago. But she doubts thanks to her mother. Then she decides to accept the task and as she learns magic and about her men, she grows in leaps and bounds. Then the danger appears and now the fate of magic and magical beings rests on the outcome. Oh my such a fantastic story that draws you in to the end! Fantastic story and read!!

This is a quick read but oh so good. It is extremely well written and the characters are beautifully developed. Sadie is so incredibly loving and caring and strong throughout the story. Her 4 warlocks are such an amazing group of guys. They have the protective, caring, kind, and the all around alpha male vibe that you just wish you had one of them. There is action, drama, and some suspense throughout the entire story. You just have to read to the end to find out what happens because you can’t put it down. It is definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint.

Savannah definitely knows how to write a reverse harem book and this is no different it is the usual panty melting story that we always get from this talented author
Sadie may have come from a long line of great witches but by no stretch of the imagination could you call her a great witch, and the bullying by her mother just shot her confidence even more. The truth is that she isn't just any ordinary witch she is part of a huge prophecy When she meets Patrick, Seamus, Mick and Michael's the four O'Sullivan warlocks the prophecy starts to unfold. Will this witch be able to handle four strong men and will they have a future together You need to read to see
First I have to mention that the cover is very misleading. Sadie is a curvy red head, not a tiny ebony haired girl. Sadie has grown up in a powerful witch family and considers herself to be a horrible witch. Heck she even turns her dog into a parrot in the first chapter. I liked meeting the guys and how they taught her that she could be powerful if she just believed in herself. I think I'm used to reading books in a series because everything seemed a bit rushed. This is a standalone novel.
I enjoyed this story. I loved the female lead in this one. I didn't want to slap her. She was on the road to discover who she truly is. Not what she because of her inconsiderate mother hammered into her head. All because she did not like the way her daughter looks. Mainly her weight. She says it repeatedly. I loved all four of her men in this one as well. They were hot. The female lead was funny as well. Had me laughing at times. I would have loved to have seen that the mother gets told off. She really deserves it.
Savannah Syke’s books just keep getting better and better. This one had a fantastic storyline about Sadie, a witch in Salem with basically no powers...and her mother never lets her forget it. She meets four gorgeous warlocks, Mick, Patrick, Seamus and Michael, who have been destined for her for years. They are there to help, train and protect her from an ancient and evil prophecy. After meeting them, Sadie’s life will change forever. It had plenty of steamy parts and was everything a good RH book should be. But the story itself was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Another great Reverse Harem from Savannah Skye, this is so different than the other Reverse Harems that she written before. This story is about a witch Sadie who is a very bad witch who gets told by 4 sexy men Michael, Mick, Patrick and Seamus that it’s up to her to fulfill a prophecy. I enjoyed reading this story yes it was a bit fast with Sadie and her men but hey it’s a one book Reverse Harem, I can understand Sadie’s feelings especially with a horrible mother like that. A great story and I recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
WOW WEE!!! WHAT A SURPRISE !!! I WAS UNCERTAIN IF I WOULD LIKE THIS STORY THAT SAVANNAH WROTE IT WAS NOT ONE THAT I WAS FAMILIAR WITH BUT AND IT IS A BIG BUT....... IT WAS FANTASTIC !!!! I REALLY LIKED IT A LOT AND BEST OF ALL I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT ONE !!!! REMEMBER THE OLD SAYING ABOUT NEVER JUDGING A BOOK BY ITS COVER WELL IT APPLIES TO THIS ONE !!!!! GRAB IT AND ENJOY, I HAVE DECIDED TO READ THE BOOK AGAIN TONIGHT !!!

This is a reverse harem, so yes there are more than one man for her. This one is exclusively m/f and m/f/m. The heat level builds throughout. I liked Sadie and how she is no where perfect. But things change fast as she becomes part of a prophecy. Lots of magic in the story and some action. The scene with the bad guy could of been longer but I liked the overall story. I do wish the cover did represent Sadie as she was described in the book.
