From the USA TODAY bestselling The Academy: Ghost Bird series, comes a different look at the very beginning. Read Introductions with a whole new perspective—the boys'.
Silas Korba's days are filled with working for the Academy and dealing with the realities of bringing his family from Greece to America. Only today is a little different; he meets a girl—a mysterious girl—who needs his help and maybe the help of the Academy.
He doesn't know her, but he wants to. There’s something different and special about her and he has a feeling she’s going to change his life forever.
ahhhh I miss these guys!1 And these novellas are just way too short for me! I need more!! I really hope I don't have to wait long for the next book to come out!
I loved knowing more about what is going on through Sila's head though! I wonder which boy's novella is next?!?
Why WHY do these have to be so short?!?!? And why can't the other books come out right away? I love this series and having to wait for these books sucks because I inhale them!
This short story tells Silas' chapter in Introductions from Silas' POV. This one felt pretty long, and I was a little disappointed that Victor and Kota didn't get that much book time in their stories. Victor's was 24 pages and Kota's 26, while this one was 33 pages. Not a huge difference, numbers-wise, I know, but it just felt like while Victor's and Kota's were a more simple, general retelling of their respective chapters, Stone just went a lot deeper into the character in this alternate POV than in the previous two. I did get to know a lot more about Silas, which I was glad for, but I just am more interested in the other characters and was sad Stone didn't go as deep with their stories.
The short showed a lot more of the relationship between the guys. I like how with every one of them, even if they have no idea what's going on, they just follow along and listen to Kota and are nice to Sang. They all trust Kota, which I think is cool.
I also like how seeing things from the boys' perspective reveals a lot more about them. In Introductions, since it's all from Sang's POV, you obviously see everything how she sees it, and since she doesn't really know them that well yet, everything is through a filter and interpreted in her way. With the boys' POV, you know when, say, Victor is flustered or Kota is acting a bit off. You get to know more about the boys and their individual foibles and the things that make them them. You get to see how Kota's intelligence makes him act or speak almost robotic sometimes, in Silas' opinion, or you see how Victor doesn't take compliments well and is wary of people who only want to be friends with him because they want something from him.
The way Stone writes the characters is so good. Even tiny nuances in their actions are just so characteristic of their personalities. For example, when they're walking down the mall and they all point out different things. Silas just calls out the store names, showing his straightforwardness; Victor talks of the fashion and styles of the clothes, which kinda reflects his more fancy upbringing; and Kota points out the discounts, giving you a peek into his brain that's always full of numbers and analytics. Each of the characters is just so uniquely and individually them, if that makes sense.
The boys' bond is just written so well. It's cool how they're all so different from each other and, yes, they sometimes fight, but they still get along so well. The way they all respect each other's feelings so much is very apparent. Like, if they knew one of them liked her, they wouldn't ever step on the other's toes.
The writing had so many errors. It was actually pretty annoying. I don't know if it was just my copy or not, but it was filled with errors. There were especially so many changes in tenses mid-sentence or sentences written completely in the wrong tense. There were also things like missing linking verbs, modifiers, wrong possessive use, and awkward, choppy sentences.
I also was a bit disappointed in WHEN it ended. I was hoping that the story would at least have the moment Silas hears about what happened to Sang's throat and why. I often wonder what his reaction was when he heard and what he thought or felt. I think that would've been very interesting to read.
At the time of writing this, I've only read up to Book 2 of the main series, so I have no idea what's going on with the letters they're getting. It's making me think that maybe I should wait to read these shorts until I'm a little deeper into the main story so I know more of what's going on. I don't want to get anything spoiled. 😉 So if you haven't read much of the main story, too, and are debating whether to read these, you MAY want to wait a bit.
I am going blue in the face saying this on repeat, and I will continue too so that ppl reading my review of each book, understands but, the fact that the with r wrote these "meeting sang" books as a third party pov, just sucks and makes them less personable. I don't think we connect well enough with the characters in this sort of setup. I personally would have loved the stories to be THEIRS and not narrated to us.I
The book it's self was cute and good to see their pov but idk... It's lacking because of the style of writing that makes Sri sense after making Introductions as Sang's pov..
I love reading the boys point of view! I have Introductions, so I've been reading it simultaneously and it makes it all more interesting and way more fun. Silas is always so intense, it's very exiting to get in his head specially in something as intriguing as the first meeting. Can't wait to read Meeting Sang: Nathan, this is so exiting! I really hope when the introductions are done we get more from the boys as well as more books! lol
Really enjoy how C.L. Stone let us see from the point of view of the guys. It is fascinating to know what the boys thought of Sang when they first met her. Can't wait to see Nathan's P.O.V !
Hmm, I was expecting something more but this was a bit on the boring side. I get that it is only the introductions and that's why I'm not judging, much. I can't wait for Nathan's POV, his should be more dynamic.
There's a better understanding of some of the scenes from the first book like when they mentioned Victor's father and the whole sushi thing... why am I not surprised.🙄 Or the Greg incident when Victor and Sang where in the car waiting outside the mall for Silas and Kota. Yassss!👏🏽 I know I shouldn't be surprised but Kota always finds a way to impress me. Maybe it's the glasses or his calm demeanor but I should know better than to underestimate him.😍
Oh Silas, my Greek God, tough on the outside but a big old softie in the inside. The best way to describe him would be as a gentle giant.🏈 He has a lot of qualities that I love, like his strength and his protectiveness. But there's more to him than just muscle.💪🏽
He's smart, perceptive and has good instincts like the rest of the guys. Especially with Sang, he could tell right away that something was off. And the fact that he didn't know how to help shows how big his heart is and the inner struggle he faced. Which only makes me as the reader want to reach out and hug him because I know the consequences that await Sang because of his good intentions.😔 Something that stood out to me too, was when he noticed Sang being mesmerized by the carousel. Sang Sorenson is seriously too pure for this world.😭
Really Silas? Twitterpated? He definitely made me smile and laugh with his horrible jokes.😂 I also liked how we got some insight into his family life with his brother and hope to learn more about it in House of Korba which I'm currently reading and is also book #7 in the series.📚
I thought Silas: Meeting Sang #3 was everything I've waited for. It was short but it didn't disappoint.😍 I love reading through the boys point of view and their first impressions of Sang. I found myself falling in love with Silas all over again. I can't wait to read Nathan's next.🙀 As well as the rest from all The Academy Boys, especially from the beautiful and sophisticated Mr. Blackbourne.🎻
I find it amusing how every single on of the guys upon meeting Sang thinks the exact same thing - "why is she here?". They were all so confused, but Silas especially so. He just couldn't seem to be able to wrap his head around it all. Also, I forgot that Silas was a bit of a jerk to Sang at the beginning. At least now I can see that he had quite a lot going on in his life at the time. Still, being polite to a shy new girl doesn't exactly hurt. In other news, it makes me a little nostalgic reading these snippets of the story and remembering how some side characters - like Theo and Victor's maid, for example - would later impact the story; and how each of the guys' action would affect Sang. I legitimately cringed when Silas decided to call Sang's home number, remembering how her stepmom would punish her for it.
Overall, I'm enjoying these novellas quite a lot. And I like that every novella gets slightly longer than the one before it - just means I get to spend more time with the guys. Also I seriously think that I'm gonna eventually reread the books, especially if Nathan's story takes long to come out.
It is a very good adventures book about spy's and the darkest parts of a too small high school. This one in the series is how and what silas thought while he was with and met Sang. Sang is a teen a couple months younger then the youngest member in the academy group. She is also very good at spying and that is just what the group does.So she will fit in perfectly as long as kota will agree to let her in.

I love the idea of getting the guys perspective on the series. They give a lot of insight on the stories and help refresh my memory. I can’t wait for they other guys versions to help the memory for later books. I think I’ve read the first 5 at least 10 times! While I am grateful for for these little books in between the series books they don’t quite quench my thirst, but they are still giving me a little of my first RH loves!
I have gotten very into reading Reverse Harem novels lately because of this series. It's super hard to find decent ones that don't just read like fan fiction and this series is quite good actually. This series is really good though, it is slow to develop but that allows for more books in the series which is a good thing. Both the characters and the story are fully fleshed out and well written. I'm enjoying becoming invested in this world and pleased that I discovered this author.
Love, love, love reading the boys P.O.V. Silas meeting Sang felt like Beast meeting Beauty she was so small a delicate compared to Silas and he didn't quite know how to handle the "Sang situation". He just knew he had to protect her. So sweet!
This is a truly intriguing way to get inside Silas' head and know what he is thinking. This story was too short but at least we got a view of Silas. FANTASTIC job C.L.! I would highly recommend this short story!
I have read the whole of the series that is out so far ten times. I can't seem to get enough of the story and I'm waiting for the next book to come out.😁 I am 66years old and have recommended these books to my granddaughters. Thank you for the good story.
Great book to get the guys individual views about Sang. More details into why each felt connection to her everln though it the same scene as the initial book.
Another cute POV about meeting Sang. You wouldn’t realize how much Silas was trying with Theo without reading this. His confusion regarding Sang and the other boys’ and even his interactions with her is so endearing. Love these!
