You've just found the ultimate erotic science-fiction series!
It's 2779 and a retired Terran Federation Marine has taken up life as a trader. Follow John Blake's adventures as he travels the galaxy on his freighter, the "Fool's Gold". This is the first book in a massive epic full of beautiful women, rampaging aliens, gunfights, space combat, and a mysterious heritage that will shake the foundations of the galaxy...
A multi-award winning adult space opera by M Tefler.
I am mixed. I really liked the sex and the fetish the author has going on with the characters. But I'm somewhat disappointed how shallow the girls are. But it's still good.
"Edit: I've read the chapters on SOL and the story do get better, each of the girls has been fleshed out, the action is even more awesome."
Now, I read a lot of objectively bad books, but this really did take the biscuit. It is, I think, the worst piece of Mary-Sue writing I have ever seen. Nothing goes wrong. The lead, a retired-except-when-it-suits-him commander with a massive ... package and four balls whose contents rapidly genetically modify any women who goes down on him. And they do, repeatedly. In fact, I think badly written sex scenes take up ~80% of this rather long and turgid volume. I ended up skipping over most of them after the first three or four to see if the plot went anywhere. Reaching the end of this volume I came to the conclusion that it didn't.

An Erotic SF Webfiction converted to Ebook format. 2.5 stars
John Blake is a retired marine and now captain of his own spaceship. He travels from port to port as a trader and occasionally does some flavors for his old employer the Terran Military. Things change a bit when he pics up a stray on on of his runs..... and now he somehow has the beginning of a harem.
This is a self-published novel that after a bit editing has been converted to Ebook format. It is, wat it needs to be, but the book clearly bears the mark of its origin (both he good and the bad). The good is that this is an easy read and John is a likable guy. The bad for the most part comes down to pacing: the chapters are short and due to their webnovel origin all feel a bit similar. After a while this got a bit repetitive as the page-count progressed, but not much els happened.
These are however only the first 10 chapters of a very long story (120 chapters and going) so presumably much more is in story for John and his fledgling harem. On its own though this is not a stellar novel an my rating must reflect this situation.
With romance in science fiction being as rare as a domesticated xenomorph, even rarer still when some erotica is thrown in for good measure , I nonetheless gave this book a chance. All in all keep in mind that I am comparing it to the vast collection of stories in the history of literature that I have read. Three stars in my opinion holds up pretty well against them and gives this book due credit for its attempt to include plot points that seem forbidden in the majority of offerings of science fiction that are written for men. The non-erotica sections of the story are enjoyable despite being a minimal part of the book. The erotic action was very detailed and such a welcome additive to a sci-fi story. Of course its very hyper archetyped so don't look for anything like a more realistic relationship. It's a fantasy. The sci fi action is quite satisfying especially the last 20 pages or so of the novel. It needed more of that. The erotic passages are in fact a majority of the book but it seems too much of a good thing. That by no means indicates that it was not quite pleasurable to read, but more so that the right balance between erotica and a well developed science fiction story plot with all it's usually trappings was not optimal in balance. In short slightly less erotica and more science fiction would have been a better recipe. I will still happily give book two a read
This is by far my favorite Bookseries, what started out as a small story on an online-platform gained enough traction to give M Tefler an income and now it is his full-time-Job. I follow the Series since around Chapter 40, and now, a few years later the books are available as eBooks and Paperbacks.
The MC is Ex-Military turned Trader, and gets a hint where to find a lucrative haul, but during his way back realizes that there is a stowaway in his ship. What starts out as an inconvenience turns out to be the best thing that ever happened to him. Buckle up, this is an epic Space-Opera with a LOT of Action inside and outside the Bed.
Military SF adult harem story John Blake is the MC. I won't go into the story to avoid spoilers. He an independent writer breaking into the digital scene, and he has a deft hand with the space opera genre. Despite editing, some mistakes slipped through, but only a few and most of those a punctuation, and they are not nearly enough to slow down an energetic tale. The plot is somewhat original while the execution is well done. The characters come across as individuals and the action scenes are believable. Enjoyed and recommended.
The book is okay. The story started out filled with so much cum fetish. The use of terms like teenager and young girl for 18 year olds are a bit weird. I like erotica, but even this is too much for me. The first half of the story felt like it didn't have a plot point. Where John and the girl do something before going back to sex, then do something, before returning to sexual activities. The later half is better since it flesh out the characters personality more. I like all the characters, but the book was a bit of a slog to go through. Not sure if I'll read the second.
The science fiction is just so-so. The protagonist is an obvious Marty Stu, able to leap higher, run faster, he even goes from being a marine officer to a naval starship captain based on a reserve commission and amazing abilities.
He's also an obvious biologically enhanced superhuman, with sexually transmitted enhancers with which he creates a harem of superwomen. "What's tall and tanned and comes in quarts?" John, of course.
How does my man walk? Like a crab? Imagine having a grocery bag sized sack, full of FOUR oranges, and you try and just sit down. Poor guy, or even taking a shit. Does he have extra deep toilets? How does he walk without spreading his legs? How is the rating here so high? Like it's porn, I get it, but I cannot wrap my brain around how any of these girls wrap anything around a literal grocery sack of oranges. Just pure trash.
Absolutely amazing. I came for the sex, and stayed for the story. At the end of the story he has a link to his Patreon, where you can find the next 80+ Chapters (There's only like 10 in a 300 page book). The story has reached over 2Mil words someone said. Have already recommended it to my friends.
It's a competently written erotic novel, but it felt like the characters had all the luck and nothing could go wrong for them. So, I lost interest pretty quick.
Plus the fetishes that take center stage aren't really my thing so I found myself skipping the sex scene half way through just to finish the book.
Currently the best sci-fi work I've ever read. Whether you care for erotica in your novels or not (the sex scenes are integral to the story and also develop the narrative), this chronicle has completely pulled me in. I genuinely hope Tefler can finish his work properly as its an enormous tale. Bottom line: if you like sci-fi, sex/romance, space battles and a deep plot this is a MUST read.
This book contains the first 10 chapters of a larger story written in Literotica under the name Three square meals. However it´s not just copy and paste, it is better written with a lot more content to expand those 10 chapters.
Pros: If you like sci fi, action, space battles, sex (a lot of sex), romance, harem, likeable characters and good guys killing bad guys this book is for you.
Cons: For me the biggest cons is that there is too much sex to the point of sometimes being slow, with no much room to explore more things about this universe. However in future books there is more to see.
Big Tefler Fan. Started reading this series in the original site then on Patreon and then bought the ebook to support Tefler. Character building is his forte. Love it even more after third time
Wow! I bought this series on a whim, but I'm glad I did! The story is intriguing, the sex scenes not too graphic but easy on the imagination, and the exploits of the characters is compelling! Great read so far!
What a start to the series! Characters were real and the story grabs you. Obviously we all started reading this for the erotica but it becomes second to the unfolding plot. So much more to come!!
I have now read this book multiple times, but for some reason never reviewed it. It's a great start to a really expansive universe that just keeps growing. It's science fiction crossed with a little fantasy in places and lots of steamy adult content. World/universe building is excellent and the characters develop lots of depth.
