The Vampire wants a Wife is book one in the Supernatural Dating Agency by Andie M. Long. It’s hilarious, cute, and lots of laugh out loud moments.

This is my first taste of this author and I had a blast with this story and can’t wait to read more. The multiple points of view throughout the book where well done and made it easy to dive into both Theo and Shelley’s heads. This book had me laughing a lot from the modern day puns and references too the dating questioner and the answers our supernaturals give.

We get to meet lots of fun and interesting characters besides our leads. I loved Theo’s guy friends and Shelly’s partner in crime at her dating agency. Shelly herself is a fun character who can find a match for anyone, but herself. It’s that how it always goes? Her life could use some excitement and she’s about to get more then she barged for and have her eyes opened to a whole new world. Thea is ready for a wife and babies and once he meets Shelly he’s got his eye’s set on her.

There romance is fun, sweet, and mixed with lots of amusing and witty conversations. Besides the romance we get a little supernatural vengeance and revenge.

The only thing that I didn’t like was the author uses some terms that I found ridiculous like vajayjay for vagina. It just made me roll my eyes when that word popped up.

The Vampire wants a Wife is full of humor, supernatural characters, and an HEA. I giggled, snorted, and laughed aloud as I read this charming and amusing tale.

The vampire wants a wife is my first book by Andie M. Long but certainly won’t be my last. I’m hooked. The story offered more than a dating agency and as the plot unravelled I became more invested in the characters.

This is the story of Shelly. She runs a dating agency even though she hasn’t found her own perfect match. She didn’t know her birth parents and her life could use a little excitement. Shelly is about to get more than she bargained for. Her eyes are open to a new world and a special breed of Male.

The narration adds to the enjoyment of the story. I’ve already downloaded the next book via Kindle Unlimited and can’t wait to dive in.

Premetto che leggendo il titolo e la trama, nella mia mente si sono create molte aspettative su questo libro ma che sono state prontamente deluse.
L'idea di base, per quanto mi riguarda, è buona ma non è sviluppata bene! I fatti si svolgono troppo in fretta e non hai tempo per "metabolizzare" il tutto. Non sono riuscita ad empatizzare con nessun personaggio, in quanto nessuno di questi, e ripeto NESSUNO, è stato descritto in modo dettagliato sia per quanto riguarda il carattere sia per quanto riguarda l'aspetto fisico.
Sono arrivata alla fine del libro con l'acqua alla gola e con un senso di amarezza, derivato dal fatto che questo libro aveva molto potenziale ma che non è stato sfruttato. Anche la parte romance è stata molto sottovalutata in questo libro: le scene erotiche sono state scritte in maniera frettolosa ma non quanto la parte romantica che ha creato minimamente la "magia" tipica dei paranormal romance.
Non so se andando avanti con la lettura di questa saga la situazione possa migliorare, ma ne dubito.

This was the most vibrant, refreshing, entertaining read I've read this year, never mind it being only the start of the year...LOL

Anyway, I had so much fun with this read, that i can only recommend it to everyone that enjoys exquisite humor, charged action and a whole bunch of supernatural characters, from vamps, witches, seers, werewolves, demons, "creatures/sort of dragons", to the Satan himself all rolled up around a 20 smth year old fued and a mismatched love triangle, that evolved in a long awaited revenge only to be resolved in another witt-battle with the devil.

and when you think that this is actually a fantasy rom-com, you would never think it could unravel this almost exotic kind of whirlwind of a story, cause yeah, it all started with an application/request to find a wife for a 126 year old vampire Theodore Robert Landry to the Withernsea dating agency conducted by Shelley Linley/later re-awakened as a half-witch and the funny fact being that the impossible search actually brought these two together.

I have been trying to find a wife now for several years. i am extremely good looking and have a vast intellect due to my many years on this earth. Unfortunately, when I discuss the fact my girlfriend wuld have to be turned into a vampire and be my wife long into the eternal light, they leave. Usually rather rapidly. I am therefore reaching out in these modern times to your dating agency.

awww, how can you say NO to that, huh?! LOL

The only remark I have is the pacing and the fast-speed charging of the action, even though I am usually all for it in fantasy genre, this time it felt a bit over-abundant and a bit overwhelming with too many characters and too many details stuffed in a short period of time space, hence being a bit distracting. BUT inspite of that, it's a 4.75 stars from me.

This book had a lot of promise and sadly none of it was kept. I felt like I was reading something a fourteen year old girl wrote that just hopped on the Twilight band wagon. The story line, although new was not executed well with too many characters, unlikable, and horrible dialogue. For a supernatural book it all seemed too unrealistic and that is saying something. No one in the real world would react to news of a vampire the way that Shelly did, they would have run away and never looked back.
I didn’t much enjoy the story and won’t be reading the rest of the series.

I smirked, giggle snorted, and laughed aloud as I read this delightfully amusing and titillating tale. I totally admire and covet Andie M. Long’s clever brand of naughtiness as well as her irreverent and snarky sense of humor. The Vampire Wants A Wife was several layers beyond witty, cunningly crafted, crisply written, and deviously inventive. I would read more paranormal tales if they were half as much fun as this one. The storyline was unique, comical, and extremely entertaining. Unbeknown to the mortals, the cozy community of Withernsea was full of supernaturals of all types; vampires, were-creatures, demons, witches, etc., so many in fact, that the local Dating Agency felt the need to expand their services and opened Withernsea Dating - the Supernatural Dating Agency, for those with special needs such as sleep impairments, select tastes, additional grooming issues once a month, or list their favorite food as, “A classic O-neg, preferably drunk straight from the source.”

I've just finished this book and I LOVED it! I've always loved paranormal romance but this book is different to most pnr reads it has humour, it made me laugh out loud!

Shelly runs a dating agency and gets an application from a vampire??? She assumes his a nutter but agrees to meet him.

"Theo, I don’t know why I like you but I do; however, you’re full of shit.”

Theo wants a wife and babies, and now his met Shelly he has his mind set on her. There is trouble afoot in the small town they live.

“Oh, now magic. It smells like turnips or sprouts to me. Thinking back, there was an odour, I thought you or one of the other patrons had flatulence,”

There is a romance between Shelly and Theo, its all mixed in with lots of amusing and witty conversations and a good story with many interesting characthers.

I found this book a great read and can't wait to read next in series.

Wow, that was a wonderfully remarkable read. It has several laugh out loud moments and is hilarious and adorable!

I've never read anything by this author before, but I had a great time with this story and can't wait to read more. The book's numerous points of view were well done and made it simple to get inside Theo and Shelley's thoughts.

With a brilliantly written dual first person narrative, a cast of eccentric characters, loads of witty dialogue, and adorable comedy, the book is a fast paced, simple to follow, well crafted solo paranormal romance novella. This book's concept is completely original and unlike anything I've ever read before, and I adored it for that reason!

As the story developed, I felt more invested in the characters since the novel gave more than just a matchmaking agency. The characters, especially the secondary ones, are fantastic. I merely wish to be told of them all.

Overall, it was a light and enjoyable read, but if you decide to read it, I advise you to not hold high expectations for how logical and "regular" the tale would be. Given that it falls under the umbrella of paranormal fantasy romance, I must confess that the tale is cheesy and over the top, but it is still preferable to Twilight.

This book is for you if you like to chuckle and read about the odd mystical figure or two, or .. if you want to branch out from your typical reading material, There may be an option here!

Conosciamo Shelley Linley, una donna in carriera che con costanza e sacrificio ha messo su un’agenzia di incontri a Withernsea, in Inghilterra, per permettere alle persone di trovare l’amore che lei stessa non ha ancora trovato. È una protagonista determinata e forte, che reputa il suo lavoro la priorità assoluta, intelligente e integerrima, con uno spiccato senso dell’umorismo. Finché tutto cambia quando alla sua agenzia non si presenta Theodore Robert Landry, un uomo affascinante, dalla pelle candida e dall'aspetto prestante, un perfetto gentiluomo intelligente e sicuro di sé. Tutto molto bello, vero? Se non fosse che è un vampiro. La storia ci viene raccontata in prima persona dai punti di vista di entrambi i personaggi permettendo al lettore di entrare nei loro pensieri e capire i loro stati d’animo e i sentimenti, come anche i loro segreti e il loro passato. Öfff ya çok büyük umutlarla başlamıştım kitaba :( Kısacık bir kitaptı, sevdim mi sevdim. Başlarına zaten bayıldım. Bana kalırsa ilk yarı 5 yıldız! Ama işte devamı... :( Kısa olmasa daha genişçe anlatsa konusu da kötü değil ama çok kısa ve o kısacık kısma her şeyi katıştırmış. Kitap Theo ve Shelley'den ibaret kalsa daha güzel olurdu :D

Shelley İngiltere'de küçük bir kasabada çöpçatanlık ajansı işletiyor. Bir gün vampir olduğunu, kendisine eş aradığını söyleyen bri adamın başvurusu geliyor önüne. Ciddiye almıyor adamı ama yine de başvurusunu gözden geçirmek üzere buluşuyor. Neyse işte Theo sonunda Shelley'i gerçekten vampir olduğuna ikna ediyor. Tabii tek seferde değil :D Shelley Theo ile yakınlaştıkça, onun doğaüstü bir varlık olduğunu kabullendikçe etrafındaki pek çok şeyin aslında göründüğü gibi olmadığını keşfediyor.

Dediğim gibi başlar harikaydı! Gülmekten kırıldım. Garip fantastik kitapları seviyorsanız haaaarika yani :D Vampirlik üzerine ne dalgalar ne dalgalar. Sarkastik ve zekice yorumlar falan. Hele vampireri öldürme mevzusunda stake (kazık) steak (biftek) mevzusuna öldüm :D Shelley Theo'ya inanmayınca adamın üstüne sarımsak atıyor, yanında Tupperware kutusunda biftek taşıyor falan Allahım inanılmaz eğlendim! Sonra işte diğer fantastik yaratıklar ve Shelley'nin geçmişi falan işin içine girince -kitap çok kısa olduğu için- ortam kalabalıklaştı ve ben sıkıldım. Ama yine de keyifle okudum bitirdim. Devamlarını da okurum.

The Vampire wants a Wife has caught my attention a few times – in fact, the Supernatural Dating Agency series as a whole has caught my attention on multiple occasions. It wasn’t until I read and enjoyed Road Trip, which Andie M. Long wrote with Laura Barnard, that I decided to give the series a read.

If I’m being completely honest, The Vampire wants a Wife was more of a three-point-five-star rating rather than the three-star rating I gave it. I had a bit of a debate as to whether I was going to round up or down, but in the end I opted for down. There were many points when I thought I’d be rounding up, though.

The Vampire wants a Wife is an incredibly addictive story. It’s short, which means you can easily devour it in no time at all. You will find yourself devouring it, as once you start you find yourself sucked in deep. You’ll want more of the characters and you’ll want to see how everything comes together, ensuring you’ll work through the story in no time at all.

With plenty of humour, and an interesting world to find out about, The Vampire wants a Wife ticks many boxes. What stopped me from giving this a rounded up rating instead of the rounded down rating was the ending. It was an interesting ending, and it certainly left me willing to read the next book, but it felt a bit too quick and easy for my liking. I felt as though the ending could have provided a bit more of a bang than it did, and that is why I opted to round down.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the story and the characters, and am plenty eager to give book two a read.

Prendete un sabato sera piovoso, un bel divano, una morbida coperta sotto cui accoccolarsi, un bicchiere di vino rosso e, infine, la voglia di regalarsi un paio d’ore a leggere qualcosa di divertente dopo tante letture più intense, e avrete creato l’ambiente adatto. Ora manca solo il libro giusto ma io ho già un’idea precisa. Ho letto la trama de“Il vampiro cerca moglie” e mi sono lasciata tentare. E non ho fatto male! Le risate non sono di certo mancate, le situazioni create dall’autrice sono oltre il limite di quanto una qualsiasi lettrice di fantasy possa immaginare e, la carne messa sul fuoco in questo primo volume della serie, fa ben sperare che i successivi siano divertenti e interessanti quanto questo.

Ma partiamo dall’inizio in modo che possiate capire di cosa sto parlando.

Shelley Linley è una donna in carriera che, non avendo ricevuto molto amore in vita sua, ha deciso di fare in modo che altre persone possano trovarlo, aprendo nella sua città natale un’agenzia di incontri che le sta dando parecchie soddisfazioni. Certo, ogni tanto le capita qualche matto con richieste strane, ma il più delle volte, lei e Kim, la sua amica e collaboratrice più matta di un cavallo, se la cavano piuttosto egregiamente. Questa volta, però, all’arrivo di una nuova richiesta di iscrizione si convince di aver toccato davvero il fondo. Leggendo la scheda di presentazione dell’ennesimo folle in cerca di una moglie si rende conto che c’è decisamente qualche rotella fuori posto nel candidato:

“Nome: Theodore Robert Landry

Data di nascita: 1 gennaio 1891(anni 126)

Colore della pelle: candida

Segni particolari: Sono un vampiro, quindi i denti?”

Con una presentazione simile chi non scoppierebbe a ridere di cuore bollando l’aspirante cuore solitario in cerca di una compagna che gli resti accanto per l’eternità, come il più folle degli uomini? Beh, io di sicuro ho riso e ha tentato di farlo anche Shelley, la protagonista, solo che il soggetto in questione oltre ad essere bellissimo, sembra anche perfettamente normale, beh a parte il fatto che dice di essere un vampiro che preferirebbe una compagna della sua specie per non spaventare, con il suo inesistente calore corporeo, l’umana di turno. Le cose si complicano ancora di più quando l’algoritmo usato da Shelley per accoppiare le persone che ricorrono ai suoi servizi le dice che il pazzo seduto di fronte a lei è il suo uomo ideale. L’etica professionale le impedisce di mandare via l’uomo a mani vuote e così, pur poco convinta, accetta di incontrarlo per un primo appuntamento decisa a smascherare ad ogni costo il suo bluff.

Ed è così che tra pane all’aglio buttato addosso al poverino per scoprire se può eliminarlo con questo espediente, invocazioni del creatore per vedere se hanno effetto su di lui, bibite fatte cadere o semplicemente fatte esplodere, la povera Shelley dovrà scendere a patti con se stessa e concordare che Theo è davvero un essere soprannaturale. E non uno qualsiasi no, ma uno che smuove le sue ovaie come se si trovassero all’interno di uno shaker agitato da un barman acrobatico.

Theodore Robert Landry è stato creato vampiro contro il suo volere e, per colpa della brama di sangue che aggredisce i vampiri appena creati, ha sterminato tutta la sua famiglia. Sono trascorsi molti anni da allora ma a lui mancano ancora molto i genitori e il calore di una famiglia ed è deciso a crearne una tutta sua. Quando vede per la prima volta Shelley “sente” che è la donna destinata a lui da sempre e, grazie al fatto che è un mago dei computer, riesce a modificare l’algoritmo del sistema di incontri e a risultare il suo compagno ideale. Il poverino non sa a cosa sta andando incontro ma è disposto a tutto pur di avere accanto quella bellissima donna. Con i suoi modi ottocenteschi e l’aplob prettamente inglese è il vampiro ideale per questa storia.

Credetemi ci sarà da ridere ma il libro non è fatto solo di questo, nella storia, infatti, troveremo anche molto altro. Grazie a strani sogni e ad amiche più folli di lei, Shelley scopre che la città in cui vive e piena di esseri soprannaturali e che, forse, anche lei ha qualcosa a che vedere con queste realtà diverse. Che c’è qualcuno che le da la caccia e soprattutto che dovrà vedersela con questo vampiro bello e sexy che vuole sposarla a tutti i costi perché il suo orologio biologico sta ticchettando. Eh sì, avete capito bene, l’orologio di cui stiamo parlando non è quello di Shelley. Insomma ad ogni pagina si scopre qualcosa di nuovo contro cui i nostri due protagonisti dovranno fare i conti prima di coronare il loro sogno d’amore. Ora, a mio parere, le tante vicende che si intrecciano nella storia hanno penalizzato un bel po’ l’aspetto romantico che viene travolto da tutta una serie di eventi e scoperte e da tanti altri personaggi folli che fanno la loro comparsa in questo primo volume della serie. Devo dire che ho avuto la sensazione di trovarmi all’interno di una sit-com degli anni ottanta, dove ogni più piccolo gesto o situazione facevano scoppiare a ridere il pubblico, ma nello stesso momento ho trovato la storia un po’ troppo frettolosa per tutto quello che aveva da raccontare. Perché sì, la storia è molto interessante, i personaggi principali hanno parecchio da raccontare e quelli secondari non sono da meno, ma c’è stata poca introspezione. Il libro però è scorrevolissimo, mi sono ritrovata al 70% della lettura senza nemmeno accorgermene tanto i fatti e le situazioni scorrevano veloci. Tutto sommato per trascorrere un paio di ore rilassanti, è una storia che consiglio di leggere non solo per farvi qualche sana risata ma anche perché il resto dei personaggi creati dall’autrice fanno venire voglia di scoprire a quali altre avventure andranno incontro nei prossimi episodi.

Davvero un libro carinissimo e super divertente, infatti si tratta di una rom-com con dei tratti paranormali: i nostri due protagonisti, infatti sono Theo, un vampiro, e Shelley, una ragazza "normale", anche se poi scoprirà di essere una mezza strega.💜
L'ho trovato un romanzo estremamente scorrevole, che seppur avendo una trama molto semplice, ha saputo intrattenermi per un pomeriggio; infatti lo consiglio vivamente a chi cerca una storia romantica, ma leggera e divertente allo stesso tempo.💜
Sicuramente, in seguito, leggerò gli altri libri di questa serie paranormale, che avranno tutti personaggi diversi (sono romanzi autoconclusivi, però interconnessi tra di loro).💜

That's what this book is for me. I hate to do this to an author but I can't give it more than two stars. A lot of the time, for me, Theo sounded gay and I just couldn't envision him as Shelley's lover. The concept was very promising but the execution was just that - dead.

Absolutely loved this book! So refreshing to read something completely different to the normal romances around. I normally stay away from paranormal/fantasy books as I find it too confusing to learn about the different worlds and stuff, but this was so hilarious and tongue in cheek that I just couldn't put it down! I can't wait to read the next one!

My Rating: Four Super Cute Stars****
This is my first time reading The work of Andie Long, but it certainly won't be my last! The Vampire Wants a Wife is a fast-paced, easy to follow, well-crafted, standalone paranormal romance novella with a beautifully written dual first person narrative, a cast of quirky characters, and lots of snappy dialogue and cutesy humor. It's also the first release in the Supernatural Dating Agency Series, and I can hardly wait to see what Long has in store for her readers in the second book. No spoilers from me but I will say this... A beautiful human matchmaker who owns the only dating agency in Withernsea and doesn't believe in vampires or anything supernatural-check! A handsome lonely new client who may be a little crazy because he believes he's a 126 year-old vampire and desperately wants a vampire wife or a human woman willing to be turned-check! A foolproof algorithm that says her crazy new client is her perfect match-check! A cast of outrageously hilarious characters-check! A bite of danger, a pinch of drama and suspense, a sprinkle of magic, a heaping helping of laugh out loud humor, and a generous splash of heartwarming romance-check! That and a whole lot more!
Did I like this book? Yes, very much! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for mature readers since it does contain explicit language, steamy romance, and questionable customer information practices. Lol... Just kidding about the client privacy act violations-mostly! Lol... Will I read this author again? Absolutely! I can hardly wait to read Book 2, A Devil of A Date! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! A quick, entertaining, lighthearted read!

Want a light hearted, paranormal read, then you better one click this story right now. This is a fun easy going read about the town of Withernsea, a normal town on the surface of things, pretty boring really, well until you know what is going on unseen!!

I loved the characters in the book, Shelley the owner of the dating agency who gets another nut job fill out a form claiming he is a vampire of all things, yea right! She was so down to earth I loved her. Then there is Theodore, the guy who claims he’s a vampire and is looking for a wife; his dry sense of humour, lack of social awareness and outspoken truthfulness was wonderful. Not to mention all the secondary characters who add such variety to this story. I even liked the baddies!

Andie M. Long has a great turn of phrase and she used it to great effect in this short story. If you want a laugh, along with the odd supernatural character or two , then this is the book for you

I felt I was quite an experienced paranormal reader and that nothing could surprise me about the genre, boy was I wrong! This book has a totally unique concept and very different from anything I've read before and I loved this book for that! Reading this book sent me on a crazy ride that I never wanted to end! It has humour in bucket loads and I laughed out loud from beginning to end. The paranormal story was also strong enough to keep me gripped and I need the next book to see what happens next now. The characters and even the secondary characters are simply amazing and I want to find out so much more about them.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves a hilarious read that doesn't mind paranormal because even if you don't do paranormals, I think you'll love this book!

The thesis of this story is adorable.
However, I don't think it was executed very well.
Told from dual POV (though I did not like the male's respresentation).
It's a very fast-paced book.
But I just could not get into it.
I tried skimming it to see if it drew me in, but it didn't happen.

Oggi avevo voglia di evadere con la testa e mi sono lasciata catturare da una lettura che mi ha incantato: "Il vampiro cerca moglie" di Andie M. Long, edito Queen edizioni.

Shelley, insieme alla sua migliore amica Kim, ha un'agenzia di incontri. Fa innamorare le persone, dato che non è stata mai voluta da nessuno e non è mai riuscita a trovare un uomo che la amasse davvero. Un giorno però trova la presentazione di un cliente molto particolare.

Dopo essersi fatta una bella risata si rende conto che ha a che fare con uno squilibrato che pensa di essere un vampiro.
Non può cacciarlo, non sarebbe professionale, così decide di inserirlo nel computer convinta che non ne sarebbe uscito alcun accoppiamento.
Ma qualcosa non quadra perché gli algoritmi lo associano a lei come compagna ideale. Deve solo decidere se vuole uscire con un uomo che dice di essere un vampiro bello come un modello o girare i tacchi.
I problemi di sicuro non si riducono solo al fantomatico vampiro, Shelley dovrà sia accettare che il sovrannaturale esiste ma anche che lei ha delle "doti" nascoste con cui salverà i suoi amici.
A quanto pare qualcuno non vuole che gli esseri sovrannaturali siano felici trovando l'amore, a costo di mettere in pericolo la vita di tutti.

Leggere questo libro per me è stata una manna dal cielo. Nonostante le precauzioni di restare chiusi in casa, lavarci le mani e tutte le altre cose che ormai conosciamo bene, a volte la mente ha bisogno di svagare e questo romanzo è stata la mia oasi felice.
Shelley, mentre si destreggia con la novità del sovrannaturale, scopre che molte persone che conosce non sono semplici umani come ha sempre pensato.
Scoprirà dell'esistenza di lupi mannari, veggenti, diavoli e maghi.
La protagonista è spettacolare, mi ha fatto ridere con i suoi commenti sagaci e le situazioni spassose in cui si ritrova. Cerca di trovare una spiegazione logica anche a ciò che è impossibile nella realtà, fino a quando non deve arrendersi all'evidenza.
Theodore ha 126 anni portati benissimo a quanto sembra. Difatti nella sua lunga vita ha sfruttato la sua bellezza nel mondo del lavoro come modello e attore.
Giusto per farvi capire che anche se è pallido cadaverico è pur sempre un bell'uomo. Lui non voleva essere un vampiro, purtroppo è stato trasformato e non volendo ha prosciugato tutta la sua famiglia. Per questo ora ne vuole una tutta sua e poiché è rimasto incantato da Shelley, decide che sarà proprio lei sua moglie.

«C’è qualcosa in lei… una connessione tra di noi. È destinata a essere mia. Lo so e basta.»

Ha solo una pecca, non è proprio capace di parlare alle donne o di corteggiarle. Shelley se ne accorge fin da subito e prova a rimetterlo in carreggiata, dato che la maggior parte delle cose che lui pensa siano complimenti in realtà risultano quasi delle offese.
Non avete idea delle risate che mi sono fatta nei primi incontri tra i due. Specialmente quando lei non crede che lui sia un vampiro e cercherà di smascherarlo a colpi di pane all'aglio.

La lettura è durata un soffio, mi sono ritrovata alla fine del libro senza nemmeno rendermene conto.
È proprio quello che ci voleva, un libro che mi svuotasse la mente e mi facesse passare ore piacevoli.
L'autrice è stata proprio brava in questo, ha usato la sua penna per raccontare non solo un fantasy ma anche una storia d'amore con un pizzico di suspense.
Ora non vedo l'ora che arrivino tutti gli altri libri dedicati agli amici "dotati" di Shelley.
Mi auguro che arrivino in Italia presto, quindi faccio un appello alla casa editrice di non farci aspettare troppo.
Libri di questo genere sono rari ed è giusto approfittarne. Buona lettura!

Firstly, this book had been on TBR list for ages and I’m kicking myself for not reading it back then.

Secondly, whilst reading I may have cackled out loudly... and very unlady-likely, many times... it was undoubtedly THAT funny. If any RomCom can get me to ugly laugh, it’s a huge winner in my book.

This could’ve turned out really corny and OTT but surprisingly, the balance of Paranormal and comedy worked out pretty great.

I loved the concept, the characters, the relationships, the banters, the endless humour... and I seriously cannot wait to read more of it. Off I gooooo~

This was a fun light read. I enjoyed the humour and quirky characters. I'll definitely check out more of the series.

I enjoy listening to Angela Doll's voice but my biggest problem with her as the narrator is the characters are British and she is not. That threw me off a few times. She also took some mid sentence pauses which also took me out of the story. I loved how she differentiated the female characters but didn't seem to with the male lead.

Libro divertentissimo! I siparietti tra Shelley e Theo sono spassosi, ma anche la collega Kim non scherza! La trama, certo non è niente di speciale, perchè se arriva uno e mi dice di essere un vampiro, io chiamerei subito il 112, invece Shelley dopo qualche uscita ci crede tranquillamente. E anche le sue amiche non si fanno troppi problemi ad accettare l'esistenza di lupi, maghi e streghe.

Shelley Linley runs a dating service and she’s been fairly successful at it. She just can’t seem to be as successful in her own love life. When an unusual application comes in where the guy says he’s a vampire she wonders if she can match him with anyone since he’s clearly delusional. Except…he’s not. Delusional. He actually is a vampire. And it turns out Shelley isn’t exactly human. Who knew?

I picked up this book because it sounded like a light and fun paranormal romance. I hate that I was wrong. It has a fantastic premise, but the execution is dismal. The characters are like those cardboard fans in baseball stadiums right now (thanks a lot, 2020) and the writing is abysmal. The plot is decent, but again, the writing just doesn’t deliver. It’s choppy, there are large areas with no transition at all, and the timeline is wonky. The dialogue seems a bit forced also. The best I can say is it’s a little bit cute and funny in spots and that’s about all there is. I do not recommend.
