Book four in the Bad Behavior series

Detective Andreas Ruffner is no fool—he’s found a man who loves him, puts up with him, and has stuck with him through hell and back, and it’s time to put a ring on it. Darren Corliss is the love of his life, and he wants the whole world to know it.

Now the fun part — the wedding!

Well, after the not-so-fun part of planning the wedding in between dealing with overbearing and impossible-to-please family members. With future mothers-in-law driving them both up a wall, the guest list growing out of control, and the wedding getting ever more complicated, Darren and Andreas have to wonder if they’re in over their heads.

But they’re going to make it to the altar if it kills them . . . and at this rate, it just might.

L.A. Witt and her husband have been exiled from Spain and sent to live in Maine because rhymes are fun. She now divides her time between writing, assuring people she is aware that Maine is cold, wondering where to put her next tattoo, and trying to reason with a surly Maine coon. Rumor has it her arch nemesis, Lauren Gallagher, is also somewhere in the wilds of New England, which is why L.A. is also spending a portion of her time training a team of spec ops lobsters.

Authors Ann Gallagher and Lori A. -A well deserved swan song for this two.

- The wedding preparation was a little disappointing , especially with Andreas Mom's drama. I wanted it to be all rainbows and kittens but well it is what it is, i still enjoyed it.

Andreas and Darren you will be missed.

Check out Simone's😘 detailed review she nails it.

"What this all comes down to is that you've had my back from day one, and you have my heart until the end."

F. I. N. A. L. L. Y. And it was about time, guys!!!

Detectives Andreas Ruffner and Darren Corliss are facing their probably toughest challenge... Their upcoming wedding.

Compared to everything both men have been through, this should be a walk in the park, right? I mean, how hard can it be? After dealing with corrupt cops, serial killers, severe injuries, deep hits on a personal level and kidnappings, getting married should be done with no sweat, while 'should' being the operative word here.
Bildergebnis für dean winchester suit gif

"So, uh, how do we tell people about this? Just change our relationship status on Facebook and hope for the best?"

If it weren't for the tiny little fact that your loved ones have certain expectations and you would rather be dealing with a triple homicide than letting them down. Or for the bout of nerves about meeting the incarnate scold that is your future monster-in-law - sorry, mother-in-law - for the first time, which could turn the whole thing into a global catastrophe in the making.

You thought these guys were exhausted while racing against the clock to save people's lives? Yeah, think again. The term 'exhaustion' takes on a new dimension here, but despite of them being way in over their heads, there is one thing they can always count on: each other. And that is all that matters.

The ending to this series was as great as I hoped it would be. With no case to solve, it simply focussed on giving Andreas and Darren their well-deserved HEA. I loved the humorous and sweet undertone of the story and I just knew that both men can do 'romantic' after all. Well, their version of 'romantic', but still... ;-) I basically had a smile on my face from page one. only interrupted by occasional guffawing or when it turned into a glare while entertaining homicidal ideation regarding Andreas's mother.

I can imagine that some people would want more smexy times for these guys, but for me this is not the most important thing in a book as long as the characters make my heart swell in my chest, so no deduction of points from me on this matter. My only complaint about this book: it was a bit too short and I'm not quite ready to let them both go, but that is just greedy-me talking here.

Umm, but in case I ever come up with the idea of getting married in my old age, please do me a favor and remind me of reading this book again before I make any rash decisions, okay? ;-)

Highly recommended!

A very very nice send off to Andreas and Darren who deserve all the happiness and more, for not only battling each other initially, but for defeating bad guys, exposing corruption, facing family tragedy, and dealing with tough personal issues. They’ve come out the other side 100% better for it together! And yes, Andreas’s mom can go fuck herself! Good riddance.

Overall, a highly recommended law enforcement MM series that delivers on all the age gap, enemies to lovers, romantic suspense goodness you could want! Go forth and enjoy!

I waffled back and forth on this one but the vows and the fact that Andreas and Darren finally get their well deserved HEA are what tipped the scales from two to three hearts. But! I'm not big on wedding planning unless it's a comedy of errors and this was not that.

The wedding planning is stressful. It wore them down and it wore me down. Add to that Andreas's cuntisicle of a mother who never has a nice thing to say about anyone ever and I skimmed sections.

Honestly, I was expecting it to be fluffier than what it was. It is romantic but I wouldn't categorize it as fluffy. Then again, my fluff-o-meter is probably out of whack. Thanks Dreamspun Cracky Fluff line!

The other disappointment was the lack of sex which is consistent with the tone of the series, but I was craving some smutty times between them. They talk about how they're "fucking like bunnies" every chance they get but there's only one sex scene on page. It was nice with some edging and begging, so I ain't mad at it, but still.

Nevertheless, I would still recommend this series to those who enjoy a quiet romance between two men who are well-developed and have to navigate their relationship through quagmire after quagmire within their department. And if you like police procedurals this is a must read series.

I’m disappointed. I honestly was expecting a little bit of a sex fest in this one as there wasn’t much (or any?) smut in the previous book(s). But hell, this was all pretty frustrating in that department. I mean the whole book was about Darren & Andreas getting married. But until the wedding night there was only a lot of dirty hinting at sexy times. I mean, why? These authors can pull it off! And the wedding night was at that pretty underwhelming. So yeah I’m disappointed.

Okay, anyway… I loved the proposal. And I loved seeing these two exchanging vows. I fucking hated Andreas’s mother but loved when she eventually got her ass kicked.

Darren and Andreas are definitely one of my favorite couples. These two detectives went from enemies to lovers, went through hell and back working on their cases. Now it’s time for them to come together and make it official, they only have to survive planning the wedding. Between their wedding planner and certain family members, it’s going to be a challenge.

I love this series and I’m sorry to see their story come to an end. My fingers are crossed that we get to see even a glimpse of them in the next book.

I highly recommend this series!!

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*It was cute*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

Was this the last book in the series? If so, it was a nice ending for Darren Corliss (29) and Andreas Ruffner (midforties). But I sorta, kinda, wanted Darren and Andreas to get another kid - a child together, Darren's own blood. Other than that, this was a cute, romantic, short book that gave us a nice ending (if it is the end, that is) for the couple.
The vows might stop at death, but I knew deep down that the way I felt about Andreas never would. He was it for me, every grumpy, stubborn, perfect inch of him. Whatever else happened in our lives, in our future together, I could only envision it happening with him. Together we’d get through anything.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (Adult) Contemporary Romance (M/M)
Series: - Series, Book Four.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Darren Corliss.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Probably.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Sure.
Will I read this again in the future? - Probably not.
Rating - 3 stars.

And I still swooned.... 😆

*4,5 stars*

After so many months of full-blown stress, exhaustion and injury, Andreas and Darren finally get some ‘normality’ back into their lives.
I swooned. And I swooned more. I think I may have ‘out-swooned’ myself.

The romantic side of Andreas, the sweetness of Darren, it all comes out in leaps and bounds now. Not even talking about their wedding vows, the way they fit and how brilliant they are together. And that very steamy wedding night … that was also well needed. It was nice that no darn cockblocking phone interrupted them this time!

I had trouble to stop grinning like mad throughout this book - not that I wanted to anyway! And I know I will return to Andreas and Darren at one point.

Fabulous series, super writing, lovely ‘epilogue’!
(But OMG Andreas's mother!!!)

What a great fourth installment to Andreas' and Darren's story. Not what I expected, but a great read, nonetheless. Wit and satire, family drama, and just a hint of darkness near the end. Perfect.

You definitely must read this series in order.

Damned…I was so excited for Darren and Andreas to get their HEA after all the ordeal, both professionally and personally, they had to go through since they first met. I LOVED the first three books of this series, a suspense romance featuring Darren and Andreas, two detectives who, despite their differences in age, in experience on the job and in personalities, are clearly made for each other.

However…this last part is all about the preparation of their wedding, with all the “supposed OTT drama” one can read about and that I don’t find romantic, but more eye-rolling. And no hotness like you could expect from LA Witt.

I’m in the minority here regarding this ending, so don’t mind me. I’m gonna stay in the corner, mourning.

After subjecting Andreas and Darren to atrocious bodily damage, heartbreaking personal pain, and extreme blue balls, these authors are finally allowing the intrepid detectives time for simple happiness. Or are they? These authors are mean; mean I tell you! Not professionally this time, but inopportune phone calls haven’t ceased, and hunting down vicious criminals becomes more appealing than wedding planners and in-laws. Whether they make it from engagement to altar is predictably unpredictable.

This has been an outstanding series from the start, with spine-tingling action and suspense I enjoyed immensely. Romance was always mostly in the background but grew within each episode, their near-symbiotic connection present in both partnerships, on and off the job. The personal aspect is allowed to bloom in this story, and seeing how attuned they are to one another is delightful. I highly recommend the series but mostly to readers who enjoy the action and law enforcement aspect, rather than those who prefer a higher level of romantic or erotic content. This final installment perfectly satisfied my romance demands and left me with plenty of happy feels.

Perfect. PERFECT. Just perfect!!!

falling rose petals

This is the perfect epilogue to the series. Let's see what I can say without spoiling anything from the previous books.

The vows made me cry. *of course*

Because even if sometimes I doubt if I'm a true romance reader, when I come across a series like this one, with and ending like this one, I KNOW. I know I love romance. It makes my heart hurt and my lungs constrict because it's beautiful. It's one of the most beautiful things in life.

If you have a romantic heart, this book will fill every nook and cranny of it.

"He was it for me, every grumpy, stubborn, perfect inch of him." ~Darren

"“If there’s anything in this world I aspire to be, it’s to be half the partner that you are.” ~Andreas

The story could have happily ended at chapter 8. But we are gifted with two additional chapters of HEA.

I recommend this series to every one of my M/M Romance reading friends!

I adore this writing team and hope they'll think about writing another series for their adoring fans. *like me*

We have waited for this ... Darren & Andreas - finally drama free ( well excluding a lunatic mother/ in law ) and time to enjoy each other. I loved that these guys made it through so much and ensured their wedding was for them and not everyone else. Family dynamics were interesting and a high 5 goes out to Darren for giving Andreas’s mother some very honest feedback! Really enjoyed this one ❤️

This was a lovely conclusion to Darren and Andreas love story. It was fluffier than I expected but overall cute and funny read. The whole wedding planning debacle was a bit over the top but I loved Darren when he stood up for everyone and told Andreas' mother off. That was my fave scene! The rest was sweet. I loved their wedding vows, it was all very romantic, both men got their happy ever after. So I will say goodbye. It has been fun!

This was really nice. We see the proposal, the engagement party and the wedding. Everything was in keeping with the characters and it was fun. Andreas' mother was the worse and it explains why she wasn't really mentionned before. Fun non-mystery addition to the series 😀

Humorous, satisfying, and sweet!

Romantic Behavior is a light, easy read that takes us back into the world of Darren and Andreas where this time they’re not on a hunt for a serial killer or in a race to save lives, but instead they’re in a battle to say “I do.”

The writing is smooth and solid. The characters are determined, exhausted, and committed. And the plot, although a little less sexy than I would have liked, is filed with all the excitement and stresses of planning a wedding, including mother-in-laws, wedding planners, guest lists, flowers, romance, and heartfelt vows.

Romantic Behavior is the fourth and final novel in the Bad Behavior series that has a lovely, happy-ever-after ending that sees these two partners in crime finally becoming partners for life.

3 stars! This was a quick read, no angst especially compared to crazy action in the last 3 books. However, I was expecting some more steam and emotion in this "Epilogue" book.. but it was just ok for me. I'm glad I'm done with this series.. I think I have changed my mind about L.A.Witt coz this entire series was very very low steam compared to her other work..

What a dream wedding this turned out to be! (hubba hubba😂) Readers will get that once they read this book. I can’t imagine the ones that have followed this couple not wanting to read this last installment 🤪. No shootings, abduction or bad police but a couple in love that just wanted to please their families and get married.
After getting introduced to Andreas’s mother I could understand why she never came into the picture especially after Andreas was hurt! This woman was a piece of work who had nothing nice to say about anyone 😡! I loved when Darren reached his boiling point. 👏🏻👍
The wedding 🤵‍♂️🤵‍♂️vows were so sincere and came from the heart, after listening (audiobook) to Andreas’s vows before he was even done I was balling 🥲😭 my eyes out!
I’m so happy I read this series!!!!! 🤗👏🏻

Andreas Ruffner and Darren Corliss are finally getting their happily ever after. Romantic Behavior picks up a few weeks after the vacation they left on in Reckless Behavior. If you ask me it can't really be read as a standalone, I don't think you'd enjoy it much if you did. And missing out on three awesome books might just be a crime.

Anyway Andreas and Darren are back home back at work and *gasp* back out at a restaurant, though sans kids to be kidnapped. To everyone's relief. This evening though grants us a proposal. And it was sweet, it was even funny. Also it was so them. Then comes the hard part - the wedding planning. In laws. Everyone having opinions - about everything. What was supposed to be, in their minds, a smallish gathering of friends and family, maybe a few co-workers has turned into a nightmare that never seems to end.

I'm of two minds about this book. On the one hand I loved seeing that Andreas and Darren finally got their happy, they finally had time to be happy, be a couple and really focus on themselves for once. There was no case to solve, no one to rescue - part from themselves. On the other hand, all the wedding planning got to be a bit much for me too, and I'll admit to finding myself spacing out a few times while listening. It just didn't hold my interest as much as the previous books did. It lacked something, there wasn't that spark or quite the same depth and feeling that I'm used to getting from this series.

Michael Ferraiuolo did a great job narrating this book, and my spacing in places is no way a reflection of his performance. It's just that the magic, the action that was present in abundance in the first three books wasn't really there and not even Ferraiuolo's wonderful effort could create it or suck me in as deep. That being said, I still loved being there for the proposal, the wedding and in general seeing them being happy.

I don't know if this was the last in the series, but if so, it's been a great ride and I have loved every single minute I've spent listening to these books. Andreas and Darren do deserve their happily ever after and this book gave them that in a nice way.

Ahhh okay! So, despite my constant frustration with basically no steam since book one in this series, this book finally, finally delivered on some much needed steam.

description

After almost three whole books - of interruptions, of injuries preventing sexy times, of too much shit going on, phone call after phone call ringing just when they're about to get into it - we fucking finally got a goddamn sex scene again! Woohoo!

Now, I know others weren't too bothered or frustrated by the lack of sex as me. I get it, and I get that most of you probably won't be shaking your computer screen or kindle or what have you like I did, but that is how I felt while reading, because I dunno, maybe I've come to expect sexy times in my romance novels and I shouldn't do that, but...this isn't a YA novel, where I expect only kissing to happen and because I know that, I'm fine with it.

But these are two - mostly - healthy, consenting adults and I think even when things are a shit show in the MC's lives, I've come to expect the sexy times at least a few times, or even just one time, in a book. And I honestly think there were so many times sex scenes could have happened but there was always some reason made up not to.

I don't know, I throw my hands up. I'll complain about this no more, as at the 89% mark in this final installment, finally we got our sex scene, and it didn't disappoint. It was basically what I had been waiting for, and that paired with the wonderful romance we finally got I love in this book, I was finally a happy camper. Although I will say one thing

Andreas and Darren are getting married in this one! Woo hoo! We got to trade in the stress of a case for the stress of wedding preparation lol - also, Andreas' mom.

She was...something else. She was like your worst nightmare of a relative. I mean, we all have annoying or frustrating relatives, but this woman takes the cake. I felt so bad for Andreas whenever she criticized him, or how he would just deflate when he'd been happy the moment before. And we don't know why she's so horrible to her son, but I think that's just the way she is, and nothing really that Andreas ever really did.

But she finally gets told off eventually and it felt so cathartic because I wanted to yell at her too. What a bitch, honestly.

But eventually Andreas and Darren make the right decision and when they eventually do get down the aisle it is so them, so sweet, so romantic, and I loved it.

This book is basically just, after all the constant shit they went through in the first three books, getting them to their happy ending. And yeah there is some stress again with the wedding stuff, but it isn't nearly as bad as when they were on a big case, and the end result was so worth it.

One other little niggle is that, despite that this is called "romantic behavior" there still could have been a little more of it. I know neither of these guys are particularly romantic, even with each other at times, and that we do get our wonderful romance at the end, but the proposal scene, while sweet and totally them, I feel like I was expecting just a little more...romance, basically. I don't think they even hug or kiss - even though they're in a restaurant, there's nothing wrong with that, right? - so that kinda bummed me out.

And I'm not trying to say it was all bad or anything, because ultimately I really enjoyed this series and this one was so good, it had me smiling wide near the end, it did.

I just wish we got have gotten more is all, both sex wise and romance wise. I think it just wasn't enough for me to give full stars.

And again, you guys might not care as much as I did, but for me when I'm reading a romance book...I expect romance idk *shrug* (even when two MC's aren't particularly romantic...with each other, I feel like they can be).

Overall though this was a great book, a solid, well written happy ending to this crazy, wild ride of a series we went on. I just personally needed a little more from it to have been completely satisfied.

But definitely do read this if you've been keeping up with this series so far. It is (eventually ;)) very much worth it.

This one was cute and sweet and low-angst. My reaction to wedding planning complications is always to wonder why they can't simplify and just drop stuff, but the family complications were entertaining and I liked seeing more of Andreas's kids. This has some moments of sweetness, some humor, some romance. Not a book to read alone, but it was nice to see the guys reap their rewards, after all they went through.

ARC provided by the publisher through Net Galley in exchange for an impartial review.

This final installment in a fantastic series is sweet and romantic through and through. From the time Andreas gets the chutzpah to ask Darren to marry him—proving that he does have a romantic bone in his body!—to the point where the two lovers decide to take matters into their own hands, wrestling control of the wedding day away from Darren’s mom, it’s all wonderful.

That being said, I wouldn’t have minded a quick shoot-’em-up to disrupt the plans, but the authors decided to give us this gift as a sweet dessert with a cherry on top—little Emily as a flower girl.

Once Andreas stumbles through the proposal and Darren informs his mom of the upcoming wedding, everything steamrolls, sometimes so quickly the guys have trouble keeping up. And these two homebodies, who’d much rather just snuggle up together on a sofa when they get rare downtime, are forced into social activity—everything from a meet-the-parents (Andreas’s mother and father) to an engagement party with a “family” breakfast thrown in-between. And after just one meeting with Andreas’s socially conscious, totally obnoxious mother, Darren is ready to run for the hills. And Andreas is happy to head there with him! Needless to say, neither man is interested in more parties—rehearsal dinner, reception—oh, no way!

What happens, and how they work it all out and manage to stay together is the fun of this story so I’m not listing more details here. Suffice it to say, if you’ve read the rest of the series, this should not be missed. And if you haven’t? By all means, start now. These stories are outstanding.

All I can say about this is ... FINALLY!

After all that Andreas and Darren have been through -- especially the turmoil in book 3, Reckless Behavior, that involved kidnapping and death in the family -- I felt SO MUCH RELIEF with this novella... that FINALLY, the two men get their happy ending.

I thought Andreas' proposal was cute ... I got frustrated along with them throughout the wedding preparations. I wanted to slap-face Andreas' mother for being such a bitch. I was touched and got a little teary eyed when the two men exchanged their vows.

It was a BEAUTIFUL ending for the series. Thank you for writing this long-awaited happiness, dear authors...

This was a really lovely story. It felt like the ending to the series (although I don't know that for sure). The previous three books have been action packed and have revolved around the crimes they're trying to solve. This one was all about Andreas and Darren and their upcoming wedding. No shoot outs, no drama, no sadness. Just these two being in love and being happy. It was filled with "Awww" moments and I really enjoyed it.

This book should not be read as a standalone. You would need to read the previous books in the series first. Great ending to these two guy's story.
