Possibly the worst volume so far.
Major Ls that happened:
- Shimana confessing to Fujiwara in front of the whole school population and wanting an answer there and then. If I were Fujiwara, I'd hate her for that. These things (confession and proposals) should never be done in a setting where it's beyond the parties themselves.
- Fujiwara agreeing to go out with Shimana after he met his ex, even though he doesn't like her in the same way that she likes him.
- Zen giving up on Shimana AND LEAVING THE HOUSE.
To be frank, I've a thought that Fujiwara perhaps carries some kind of (physical/sexual?) trauma from the past. From the way he reacts when women/girls touch him (as seen in the scenes where the teacher/his ex reached out to him and he snapped at her "Don't touch me!" as well as the mini backstory that we got at the end of this volume where he came back drunk and barked at Shimana when she patted him on his head, saying things like "Women are all the same! Putting their hands all over you, touching without permission!") and how he wanted to change his name to start "afresh". Perhaps he felt "dirty/defiled," and hence with a new name, he wanted to reset his life. That's my... conspiracy theory and wild guess to his behaviour, at least. I don't have answers, only questions so hopefully, we get more development from here on instead of the same love triangle/square plot.
