Great start of this series..

I loved reading the first three books of the Talon Pack mating stories. I cried, I admit it, because they weren't easy for all parties involved.

Nook #1 is Gideon and Brie's story. Gideon is the Alpha of the Talon Pack. Brie is a Submissive of the Redwood Pack. Gideon is being forced into the mating clause by the elders of his Pack because they are cruel and have decided that he is weak without a mate. They have picked one that they can control as well. They will force the mating with the help of a witch if he doesn't find his mate on his own, which is what they are counting on.

At the last meeting with the Redwoods, he realized that Brie was his mate, but he could never mate a submissive. So he vows to stay away, that is until the Elders make him mate, so he told him he found his mate and it's still new. They gave him 3 days to present her. He only hopes that she can handle it.

Brie Jameson has known that Gideon Brentwood was her mate since she first saw him when she was 17 years old and made sure she stayed away from him. No Alpha wants a Submissive to rule a Pack. But when she hears what his elders are forcing on him, she can't let him suffer.

They mate without knowing each other, he won't let her leave the house. He isolates her. The pack refuses to accept her. But it turns out that they aren't the biggest threat. His uncle that they thought was dead isn't. He wants to show the world that wolves live among them.

When his mate is kidnapped, is when Gideon realizes that he's in love with her.

Book 2 is Brynn the youngest Brentwood, and only woman, and Finn Jameson, the Alpha Heir, also Brie's cousin.

After the world found out that wolves are indeed real, there have been several groups formed, some that hate them, some that don't know what to think. So Finn and Brynn have to go out in public and pretend to be a happy couple and not unleash their wolves no matter who provokes them.

Meanwhile Brynn is suffering in silence. Finn is her mate and his wolf doesn't recognize her. When he was a baby, a demon killed him, and a witch brought him back to life. But his wolf has never been the same. They try to mate, but the bond never takes, breaking her heart to pieces.

The only thing to do is kill Finn again and rebuild him and his wolf. Film's been suffering in silence as well because his wolf never recovered correctly. Once the procedure works, the bond works correctly when they mate.

Book 3 Is Ryder, the Alpha's Heir, and Leah, a water witch, they found with her twin brother who died along side her after humans shot them. Walker, the Pack Healer couldn't sabe her brother because they got to them too late, but Leah only had 1 bullet. Water witches can heal themselves with water if they are conscious, but they weren't. The Pack doesn't have any witches to help them with the upcoming fight with the humans. When she wakes you, she feels a pull to Ryder that she doesn't understand. But he refuses to mate with her.

He thinks that he's protecting her, but he's only hurting her in the process. When she's kidnapped he doesn't have the mating bond to find her and it's his own fault. But he uses his own gift with the spirits for help. He doesn't know that water witches can help him control those spirits that have been haunting him for over a century. He's been too stubborn to tell her why he won't mate. When he finally tells her, he's relieved that she can control the voices in his head.

A definite must read!!

Talon Pack 0.5
You do a big jump from last book to this. In last book Gina mark Finn are children and happily living after war. This book Gina is around 21 and starting a council to have pack cooperation and share ideas.
On the council she meets her mate Quinn but he's a broken wolf. His mate use dark magic witch to cut the mating bond and pack bond to escape her responsibly.
Quinn doesn't want a witch as mate but to help cure his son of a weird unexplained disease, Quinn and Gina mate.
Great story and action included. Interesting things with Finn and possible Brynn. Great HEA.

Book 1
Gideon has struggled with pack loyalties ever since killing his father and getting rid of his uncles.
Brie has know since seeing Gideon many years ago that he is her mate but because she's a submissive she felt she wasn't good enough to help rule the Talon pack.
Between the both of the they struggle to cope with being newly mated in a pack that doesn't like of trust Gideon rule or having a submissive as a dominant alpha female.
Really like how even though Brie isn't dominate she strong and powerful in her own way. I liked that Gideon admitted he struggles with his new feeling but expresses it in his own way.
Loved this new series. Was worried it would fall flat but I'm very happy to be wrong. Looking forward to how Brynn and Finn story plays out.

Book 2
I've got to say I was really worried about reading Finn story. I had so many hopes for this and I'm so glad CAR was able to pull it off. In the second Talon book Finn is 30 and since The demon tried to kill him he's struggled to hear is wolf.
At a gathering Finn meats Brynn and is instantly attracted to her but his wolf stays quite through the whole meeting.
Brynn had know a while Finn is her mate but when he doesn't make any moves or intention to mate she thinks the Goddess has messed up.
Leo, Gideon's uncle exposes all wolf to humans by live video feed that the world watches as Leo and his lone wolf change shape and fights Talon/Redwoods in human form.
This book have absolutely heartbreaking and perfect at the same time.
I think Finn and Brynn are perfect for each other.
A lot happens in this book and some reviews says this cod be a standalone book bug I think to get the best out of this book you need to read all the redwood and talon books.
Looking forward to the witches on the talon series.

Book 3
Ryder is the Talon pack heir but this has come from violence and pain and he’s holding back awful secrets that some in his brothers know something isn’t write but they don’t know what.
Leah is a witch without a Covent but she had her twin brother and that was enough but humans found out about witches and tried to kill them but the Talon Pack found them.
Great book and loved the continuation in the growth of the talon pack.
This book feel a bit slow for me put I didn’t stop reading it at any point.
Looking forward to Charlotte story and the new mystery that is Shane.

TALON PACK 1-3

Brie and Gideon
He is the alpha of the Talon pack. She is a princess in the Brentwood pack. Brie has know for a long time that Gideon was her mate. A mating was forced on them. It could have gone horribly wrong, but love prevailed. The pack is fighting an elder and a supposedly dead uncle. They were outed to the humans and is fighting for survival
Brynn and Finn
She is the princess of the Talon pack and he is the Heir of the Brentwood pack. His wolf is kinda sick. Brynnhas always known that Finn was her mate. They became the face of the wolves to show humans that wolves are not monsters. Finn had to die so that his wolf can claim his mate
Leah and Ryder
She is a water witch and he is Heir to the Talon pack. As the wolves are still trying to survive the Huma cruelty everyone has to stand together to survive. Witches and wolves. Let's father had her twin brother killed as he denied them as his children. Ryder saved her life and knew she was his mate. They had to overcome human cruelty before they could fully bond
As always I love shifter stories and can't wait for the rest in this series. Thanknyou

Great series

I am a big fan of author Carrie Ann Ryan. This series is very well developed. You want to keep reading non stop from book to book. So glad I bought the first 3 books in a box set. I do wish that the others will be boxed too. The stories were easy to connect to the characters and events. Even though each book builds into the next book, they could be read alone, but I would encourage you to read in order. I already went ahead and bought the next two book.
Overview. This box set is based on the Talon wolf pack. But they are friend with the Redwwod wolf pack too so the stories and box set connect too. The stories are based around the theme of the Unveiling. That traitor from their packs and humans have decided that they no longer want the paranormal to be hidden. So they cause issues to make humans against the shifters and witches. In the process they find love and build trust between everyone human and paranormal and try to fight the darkness/evil.

Too much drama!🤷🏻‍♀️

These stories had so much potential and I really wanted to love them, but I found a few reasons why I didn’t.
First, aside from a few sexual encounters there wasn’t really any happy times. At least not any that lasted more than a few minutes.
Second, they constantly talk about the bonds between the pack and how nothing is stronger etc, and yet every main wolf seemed to have personal issues or demons that they didn’t trust to share with their pack.
And lastly, IMO it’s too repetitive, constantly repeating the same thing over and over.
I listened to all books to give this a fair review but honestly, about 1/2 way through book 2 I almost stopped.
I think Gregory Salinas did the narration as well as could be expected, but they way these books were written, makes everything seemed so grim. It was hard for me to distinguish between the female characters.

Redwood pack submissive Brie and Talon pack Alpha Gideon appeared to be a mismatched couple, but it just goes to show even the strongest person needs someone they emotionally trust and rely on 100 percent.

Talon pack princess Brynn and Redwood Heir Finn have a big hurdle to overcome-namely their wolves bonding. Instead, they learn love can conquer anything, including death.

Water witch Leah and Talon pack Heir Ryder know they are it for one another, but are in denial. Personal secrets come to light and they realize some risks are worth the chance to love.

All three stories had great characters and I liked how the plot flowed into each storyline. Where one leaves off the next one picks up. The overall arc of ghastly scientific experiments and discrimination against the wolves gave the stories a nice thread of suspense.

Love it 😍

*AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *

I’ve read Carri Ann Ryan books before but never shifter books, I don’t read shifter books often and I’m critical to them. But when I love an authors other books I take a chance on genres I don’t normally has a craving for.
I have some favourites that I’ve read before; Megan Erickson and Vivian Arend. Now Ryan is amongst them 💜

I loved this pack and their stories, it’s filled with feelings and so hot. This is what I liked:
* The storyline progresses nicely in each book.
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Dialogues that keeps the story driving forward
* Delicious hot love with intensity and an emotional backstory
* Glimpse of secondary characters that I can’t wait to read.
I like that the story involves humans and witches too so I feel like it reaches far beyond wolves 🐺 it makes the story more intriguing and enjoyable.

Narrator:
Good pronunciation and read with feelings so I enjoyed it very much.

If you’re looking for a series with shifters I recommend you start with this box set.

I have always loved the paranormal especially the werewolves. Coming across this 3 series stories was just what I needed. The Redwood and Talon Packs are in an alliance of sorts. These stories tell about the mating of 3 couples and their adventures, the good and the bad. First up is Alpha Gideon of the Talons and Brie of the Redwoods; then Brynn of the Talons and Finn of the Redwoods; and finally Ryder of the Talons and Leah who is a witch of water. All have history of horrible memories and trying to cope and move can be troublesome. In each case join and read about their trials and tribulations and the common enemy of ignorant humans along with the fanatics. There are more stories of these two Packs with their adventures. Hope to read them soon.

So far, Carrie Ann Ryan never disppoints, no matter which series of hers you get.
This box set contains the first three books of the Talon Pack series, and although I liked the first best, the other two were not bad at all, just a bit borderline melodramatic for my taste, but not falling off the rim.
We have sympathetic protagonists with past hurts and secrets burdening them today and putting obstacles into their happily-ever-afters, we have evil wolves, humans and witches, good ones as well, of course, we have good plots and an author with a brilliant narration style - together it's an irresistible mix!
As I said, some books are better than others, but on the whole, none has ever disappointed me, and this talon pack series is no exception. More please!

Scan to the next scene

Sentences like the following were irritating: "...the elder named Shannon, the elder, and the handful of others..." , "I'd rather be careful that not." , "Yet he says he won't mate me with.". Many of the scenes where the couples were intimate made me roll my eyes and scan through to the next scene. I did not feel any connection between the characters and have no desire to read the next book in the series. Their history was interesting and the dramas they lived through and how they developed to become the people they are was intriguing. But I was not drawn into their lives and stories.

Great Shifter Series

This is my first Shifter Series. I really enjoyed it. It was a good smooth read. And I read all three books in a week, so that should tell you something. The only thing is I expected it to be "steamier" , more sexual tension and to much detail in physical description. I like to picture my own characters especially the beefy hunk kind. Basic details are good like abs, hair and eye color. And how big they are. But too many details changes the story for me. I don't want to say more to spoil it. Definitely will read more books from this author.

Excellent Storytelling!

Ms. Ryan has unleashed a story that has me totally enthralled with her cooperative packs! I could barely pause and take care of my daily life tasks, without peeking at the story I was involved with reading. Snatching a chapter or two while performing life's functions, seemed to be the only way to make progress with both tasks. So far, I'm still enjoying the series, so I'm looking forward to book 4.

This was a very different book from what I usually read. It took awhile to get into the story, but once I became interested, it was a hard set to put down. The story is fantasy about wolves that could chante into people, they were very strong and regular people were afraid of them. It is a story filled with love, emotion and hurt. Each book of the set was a continuation of the story, but with different main characters. I will read book 4 to see what continues to happen. It is a set of books I would recommend to most people.

Engaging series.

Fast paced and gripping action. Plenty of typical soft porn dressed up in fated love at first sight for the usual audiences. However, it's persistent moon goddess theme is unusual, and who doesn't love a good vs Evil paranormal romance? The characters are strong and well crafted. The family interwoven dynamics are fabulously complex, but not overly tangled. One of the better series in print. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Talon box set

Three book set to start a whole series about the Talon Pack of wolf shifters. Each one is about a particular couple, but there is an underlying story thread that will probably run throughout the whole series.
The relationships among pack members, and with the wolves of a neighbouring pack are intense, complex, sweet, passionate, funny.
When they get together as mates the heat is off the scale.
A great start to a series that has you begging for more.

These three books help introduce you to the pack, their leaders and their mates. The first two books had quite a bit of angst in them. The third book had more focus on the problems with the humans while introducing the witches. I enjoyed these reads and will be continuing to read the rest of the series.

Love this series. Carrie Ann Ryan is an amazing paranormal romance world builder. Her characters are easy to love and you will feel the need to know what happens next for them. I read each of these books separately and then again in the bundle that's how good they are. You can't go wrong with any of Carrie Ann's books.

Not A Bad Wolf Shifter Series

The first 2 stories were pretty good. The third was not. It was contrived and dialogue between main 2 characters was awful (especiallythe sex scenes!) Would read more of this series or the Redwood pack series IF the price was right. In total, Not terrible, but not the worst shifter series either.

Shifters, Witches and a changing world

Wolf shifters had been a secret that few humans knew about. Now that 2 packs of wolf shifters have been brought to the publics eyes what is going to happen? Each story can be read alone but each story is connected by characters. I highly recommend this book and set.

Great series

You think of wolves as the top of the paranormal/human pyramid, but those human sides are way more messed up. Read how 2 different groups of wolves learned to rebuild after surviving the worst. Meet the women who completes their wolf. And the trials that come with the unveiling of the paranormal world.
