Fenris and Mina's story concludes in the final book of this Baine Chronicles spinoff trilogy!

Alerted that Sunaya and Iannis's wedding may be the target of a Resistance plot, Mina and Fenris travel to Solantha despite the very real possibility that Fenris could be recognized and thrown into prison should any of his enemies spot him.

Preventing a tragedy is well worth the risk, but their urgent quest is complicated by the mysterious absence of the bride and groom, who have disappeared very suddenly without leaving any clue as to where they were headed.

In a city still recovering from last year's terrible quake, Mina and Fenris search for clues to an elusive, but deadly, conspiracy. Old and new friends, unexpected relatives, and dangerous enemies converge upon Solantha in the heat of high summer, and amongst them is Garrett Toring, the Federal Director of Security.

With Fenris's mortal enemy sniffing around for potential threats, he must be more careful than ever to remain undetected. But time is running out...and Fenris and Mina may have to look in unexpected places for help if they are to win the day and make sure their friends make it to the altar safe and sound.

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*

Fenris and Mina come closer and are tested even more, and it comes to an end where it really started. Fenris brings Mina home, but not for the normal reasons. His friends are in danger of a possible rebel attack, and since his loved ones are being threatened, he'll risk his safe life and getting caught. And Mina will be right beside him.

So I liked this a lot, enjoyed the writing style and seeing Fenris return home. I got the nostalgic idea since I was feeling it myself, missing Sunaya. I liked seeing Mina interact with people of Fenris' past, liked seeing people I knew from a stranger's perspective. The action part of the plot was a little slow but building, and though I didn't really get any of the actual threat til much later, I still personally liked seeing the family-friends-meet-up bits. A few tiny things would make me pause in my reading experience but once I got to the very end, it didn't matter.

I loved seeing Iannis and Sunaya again, it was a personal favorite considering they were who I started out with before Mina and Fenris ever met. It was nice to see familiar faces and this felt more for the fans who've been to Solantha than anything, with a major build on tightening loose ends. I read it in a few sittings, enjoyed myself, and overall liked this installment.

Excellent wrap to this trilogy, although I don't think that this series really needed to have it's own name. It fits nicely before the final book in the Baine Chronicles and, although you don't have to have read the Baine Chronicles to understand this arc, there is no real need to add it as a second series to your library if you already read the Baine Chronicles. I know my calibre would have preferred it if I'd just numbered them Baine Chronicles 7.1, 7.2, & 7.3 (or 7.7, 7.8, 7.9 - whatever). I realize Amazon doesn't accommodate this sort of number and that probably was, at least in part, the reason for this crazy one-off numbering. For those of us that use calibre, however, I recommend just including it before the final book as part of the Baine Chronicles.

And, as I have stated in other reviews of this trilogy, these books are more PNR than the original series, and have a greater focus on the romance and the sex. Even so, the story is still a good one.

This book was an absolute pleasure for me.
Seeing both Mina and Fenris finally walking the world the way they are (well, as much as possible), without having to hide their magical abilities, is a great relief.
The danger that awaits Iannis and Sunaya in Solantha drives both Fenris and Mina to warn them. Cooperating with the very same inspector who is devoted to find Polar ar´Tollis and was very close to uncover Fenris´s secret might prove difficult, but useful nonetheless. The Resistance still hasn´t said the last word, and now that the leader moving the pawns is a mystery, it is even harder to prove the intentions, or even the existence of grave danger. With the conspiracy coming to the light and the bride gone missing, followed by her groom as well, the things in Solantha are getting turbulent.
The final installment provided much excitement, joy, tension, action, and variety of emotions. I absolutely enjoyed watching the protagonists investigating a mystery and solving a great problem, whereas coming closer to each other than ever before. Their union must be blessed for everything they have gone through and remained alive and together. Mina is a lovely lady, delicate and fierce at the same time, and coupled with Fenris´s wisdom and courage, they are such a sweet couple I could only wish them luck. Amazing conclusion to their story!
I read an advanced copy and provide my honest opinion voluntarily.

The final installment of Fenris’s trilogy sees Fenris returning to Solontha with Mina, much to my delight. The couple are determined to ensure that Fenris’s best friend’s wedding goes ahead, heading to the city to warn Iannis and Sunaya of a plot against them and the other mages but when they arrive they discover that the Chief Mage and his fiance are missing. However, as Fenris reacquaints himself with the city he seeks to uncover how the Resistance intends to disrupt Iannis and Sunaya's plans and he aims to put a stop to them in the hopes that his friends will return in time for their own wedding.
As always, I loved this latest installment in the Baine Chronicles world, it’s well written and moves at a pace that kept me hooked the entire time. I was thrilled to see Mina and her friends interact with characters we’ve come to know from past books and love the dynamic of their different relationship. It was really great to see Fenris return to Solontha and to see how different people reacted to his reappearance and it was also interesting to see how he and Mina went about trying to uncover the Resistance’s plans. All in all, it’s a book I would definitely recommend and the cover art for this one is incredible, definitely my favorite in the series.

We are finally at Mina and Fenris’ last book. Fenris and Mina have arrived to attend Iannis and Sunaya’s wedding, but they are nowhere to be found. In the meantime, Fenris and Mina are trying to find out everything they can about the Resistance’s plan to kill mages at the wedding. But time is running out, and they may be too late. I have come to really love Mina and Fenris’ love story, and Ms. Walt gave them a very fitting ending book. This story had a lot of non-stop action (things were happening really quickly) and great characters. I really loved that Barrla and Marris played a crucial part in the storyline; they are a cute couple. We get lots of conclusions and a glimpse of what is to come with the soon-to-be wedded couple. And, the end, which I don’t want to say too much and spoil it, was absolutely perfect. If you are a fan of this series, you will love this concluding title. If you haven’t started it, do so; it’s wonderful! Highly recommend! Thanks to the author for the e-book which I reviewed voluntarily.

Saved by Magic is the last installment in the Bain Chronicles series featuring Mina and Fenris. I have enjoyed the whole series, and I'm sad to see their story end. In this book, Fenris and Mina travel back to Solantha to avert disaster and enjoy the wedding of Iannis and Sunaya. There are lots of crossovers in the characters in this book from both the Sunaya/Iannis and Fenris/Mina series and I really loved seeing old friends again.

So why only 3 stars? I never quite got caught up in the resistance rebellion action, and some of the ways the plot was revealed or the characters came to the decision of what was happening left me feeling sort of wishy washy. As in, if someone suggested that to me, I'm not sure I would have acted on it. Also, there are a LOT of characters involved in the happenings and sometimes it felt a little crowded in the story.

Overall, the book is good. It's sweet and has a pretty steady pace to it.If you have enjoyed any of the prior books, you'll enjoy this one and especially seeing how things wrap up for Mina and Fenris.

Rumors of the Resistance plot in Solantha. Is it to disrupt Sunyana and Iannis' nuptials or the Convention of the Mages? Fenris was told that Sunyana and Iannis are gone and no one knows where they went. Frustrated from being unable to get them a message and unsure if anyone in the city is paying any attention to it, Fenris and Mona traveled closer to Solantha. Enjoying themselves, while still quietly trying to discover more about the Resistance plot, Fenris meets some old friends. Aided by Marris and Barrla from Abbsville, both Fenris and Mina have several mishaps with trying to foil the plot. Not wanting to give too much away, I say if you love the Baine Chronicles and Fenris collection of books, you will love this book. I received a copy of this book to review. I would have purchased it to read otherwise.

Well

That was standard formulaic romance Scitick. I read it because I really enjoyed the characters. But I like a story. I don't need to know about her stuck his dick in her. Shit. I want the story. That's what I hate about most romance authors. It's all leading up to the fuck. And that's all it's about. That's crap. Yes a romance is a good part Part of the Story but it isn't The Story. Now I'm not saying you are guilty of classic formula. You aren't. I guess I'm miffed because you reverted to genre on this story. But never the less I really like your fenerce sp and the rest. Thanks looking forward to hopefully books of this type Or an extended story after every one is married. WHY DOES LIFE STOP IN STORRIES AFTER THEY GET MARRIED. The young intrepid group fights crime builds lives and has babies too. Why not

Fun & Sweet Urban Fantasy Romance/Adventure

This series should be read after completing the first six books of the Baine Chronicles: Sunaya’s story for maximum enjoyment and understanding. I am really enjoying the Baine Chronicles as a whole and loved this trilogy about Fenris & Mina. I have been sucked into this world of magic users, shifters and humans to the point that I have not read any of the books that I have waited months for the sequels! Can’t put this series down! If you like Sarah J. Maas or Jaymin Eve it just love a good unique fantasy story that is not too dark and is fun, fast-paced, adventurous with a dash of romance than definitely give this series a try! 😉👍

There is no way I can accurately describe my absolute love for this author, and this series. The stories and characters are amazingly well crafted and beautifully told. This book ties up Fenris' story, and while I am sad because presumably there will be no more from these two. I loved how it ended and hope for more in the future. It sets up the last book in the Sunaya story too and makes me want that book so bad. I love everything Jasmine Walt has written and am constantly looking forward to what she does next! I have been lucky enough to get some ARCs and still buy the hard copies because they are so beautiful. <3

Fantastic

What beautiful ending to a wonderful story! I know Jasmine is planning on ending the baine books soon but I really hope she changes her mind!
All of us who have read them are so invested in the interesting characters and world she created in this series. It will be awful to say goodbye!
But anyway I read this book in one sitting and as always it kept me hooked from the first word until the last leaving me gagging for more!!
I absolutely adore the baine chronicles books and can't recommend any of them highly enough.
Jasmine is a super talented lady who works magic with her writing! Thank you so much for bringing us your awesome story's.

I received a copy of this ARC for my honest review.

This was a great ending..or should i say beginning for Fenris and Mina. I loved how this book tied up all loose ends. Past, present and future all neatly tied up. Mina and Fenris went to save Iannis and Sunaya and got much more than they bargained for. The little twist and surprises here and there kept you drawn in.

The story flowed very well and you had the adventure of trying to figure out who was determined to cause harm to our day 1 faves, the love btwn Mina and Fenris, Barrla and the wonderful personality uniqely hers and reuniting w various old friends. Another great read.

A perfectly happy ending for Fenris!!

What a great ending for one of my favorite characters from the Baine Chronicles! Fenris is a mage who was turned into a shifter to save his life. After hiding in plain sight for years, he left Solantha and his friends only to find a love he thought would never happen for him. Now those friends are in danger from the resistance, so he and his love are back in Solantha to keep them safe. A wonderfully told story that wraps a neat bow on the love between Fenris and Mina, and made my heart cheer at the end.

Free at last

There's a plan underfoot to murder lots of mages and turn Solantha into chaos. With Iannis and Sunaya out of the picture it's up to Fenris and Mina to figure out what is happening. Mina proves herself time and again and Fenris takes risks that get him in trouble. There is a lot happening in this story as it runs parallel with Iannis and Sunaya's and it's quite the ride. It's great to meet up with old friends as we tie up loose ends. I hope we get to visit with these characters again somewhere down the line.

The last book in this particular spin off trilogy from the Baine Chronicles!

Plenty of magic and plots ahoy in this book. Just when you think one's been solved another pops up!

Lots of cameo's from other characters in the Baine Chronicles as Mia and Fenris end up back in Solantha for Sunaya and Iannis' wedding though they find them conspicuously absent from the city.

All the love for this series and this spin-off definitely enriched the world more. A wonderful urban fantasy story.

Characters in Full Technicolor

Yep, dating myself with that title...lol.
Ms. Walt, however, is adept at developing fully rounded characters over time and subplots. It's refreshing to have characters with flaws and fears that are recognizable in ourselves and see them struggle through to a fair and reasoned resolution. This is book ten... I'm nowhere near bored and can't wait to see the next events through the eyes of other of her characters! Keep it coming, Ms. Walt!

Omg loved the conclusion to this trilogy. Absolutely love Fenris and Mina and of reading about Sunaya and Iannis. I will miss the world of the Baine Chronicles especially the characters that I have grown to love and feel like family, but also love how everything was wrapped up and answered. You are not left wondering what is going to happen next.

Another masterpiece!!

Jasmine Walt does it again with her final adventure with Fenris and Mina. Beautiful wedding, excitement and, of course, plenty of romance. It was great to see Sunaya and Iannis again and all the juicy gossip on the Minister of Mages. So very funny! Can't wait for whatever Jasmine puts out there, because I know it will be really good!

Fenris and Mina are headed back to Solantha to warn Iannis and Sunaya of a potential resistance attack. But with both Iannis and Sunaya missing on business Fenris and Mina follow the clues with help from some unexpected people. The race is on to save a lot of lives. I absolutely loved this book and series.

Fenris is finally happy

Fenris has been alone for a long time. He's had friends but he hasn't had anyone like Mina in his life. Fenris and Mina along with their two friends try to infiltrate the Resistance secrets. They uncover a sinister plot. Fenris and Mina get their happily ever after in this conclusion.

Awesome as always!

Great third book and ending for this series. I really wish it wasn't the last book as I feel their story isn't over yet, but what's done is done. Really heart warming ending and a wonderful adventure as always. I'm really gonna miss these characters.

I really liked this book, and it was a great finish to the Fenris trilogy. I would've rated it higher, but after reading book 8 of Sunaya's series, a lot of this book was a rehashing. It wasn't bad, just a lot of the same events from other perspectives.

Great read

Why did I read this book? Because I wanted to find out about the characters from the other stories I read of hers. All in all its a great finish to the storylines she had going and opened the possibilities for new stories. I highly recommend that you read this book.
