I’ve read a french book called “petit coeur brisé” that can be translated to small broken heart. The author of the book is Elvire Murail. That book is a realistic fiction based on a real story. The genre is life drama with mystery.
Life began in a tragic way for Melaine: at one year, she lost her parents. When she was four years old, his grandfather died. Now Melanie is fifteen, her grandmother, Clarisse d'Avillon-Faucher, has just died. Melanie always thought she was useless and ugly and didn’t believe in herself but in a few days, everything becomes different. First Melaine get the house and the fortune of her grandmother. Then Melanie is under the responsibility of two old cousins, Heidi and Gretchen, who have traveled around the world four times as photographers, and who decide to give Melanie a normal life. Finally, in one of her grandmother's photo albums, Melaine discovers the portrait of an unknown girl wearing a heart-shaped medallion around her neck. Melanie saw that medallion multiple times around her grandma’s neck. Melanie will have to dig in the dark history of their family to discover the identity of that girl.
That book was really interesting a full of secrets and mysteries that’s pretty much why I choose to read it. I would rate this book 8/10 and the recommended age would be 12-15.
