Family and friends gather at Marlow House for Ian and Lily’s wedding. When an unexpected guest shows up Danielle tries to figure out who he arrived with and why. Did I mention the unexpected guest is a ghost?
Another great read in this series. The ending makes me very curious as to what happens next. I really enjoy reading this series. If you have not started I really recommend reading this series.
The Ghost and the Bride by Bobbi Holmes Hainting Danielle #14 I am totally addicted to this series. It is fun and addictive to read. YAY! The day has finally come. Lilly is getting married! Lilly and Ian had invited a small group of family and friends to spend the week with them before the big day. When everyone showed up they deserved there was an extra person who is being very mysterious and shady. Can Walt and Danielle put the pieces together in time to save the wedding? Raiting: 5 stars 🌟
4.5 Stars... The day has finally arrived.... along with an unknown spirit! As Ian and Lily gather with family and friends for a week of celebration leading up to their big day, a mystery begins to unfold connected to one of the guests... It is up to Danielle and Walt along with their earthly and spiritual friends to solve the mystery and save the wedding... Bobbi Holmes puts an interesting twist on this ghostly mystery adding an intriguing element to the overarching storyline... It will be interesting to see how all the elements combine as the series continues forth:)
So, I like this series and the characters alot but the thing that bugs me the most about these books is the characters being my age and acting like all elderly people. Also, people being alternative looking always being a bad person. For example, Heather in the beginning, no one liked her. Carla having rainbow hair and being the town tramp. Now this Tag guy. It's never so clear that the author is an older women than these times. I wanted to love this one because of Lily and Ian's wedding but I can not get past the prejudice and judgment of a basic old person.

Not much of a mystery in this book, but I still enjoyed it because of love all the characters. But after listening to 14 books in this series, you’d think I’d have gotten used to the narrator. I’m still finding it difficult to know who is talking, especially with the female voices.
It's Lily and Ian's big day! But of course we have a mystery ghost that also shows up with the wedding party following Lily's favorite cousin. But the reason is so shocking! I love that Eva Thorndike was more involved in this book and how she goes around visiting other ghosts and one happens to be near a grave with a woman claiming to want to kill two people at Marlow House! Dani and Walt are growing even closer which in one sense is great but in another how could she ever be happily in love with a dead guy.

Lily’s family and Ian’s sister are irritating. If you want to get married on the beach, go get married yourself. Anyway it’s lily and Ian’s wedding and family is in town + a ghostly visitor. Someone is not quite who is claims to be and in a shocking turn of events Eva steps up to help write a wrong.
As Ian and Lily plan their wedding right on the premises of Marlow House (so that Walt can be in attendance), their close friends and family arrive to stay and the only B & B in Frederickport. However, who's the spirit who hitched a ride with Lily's favorite cousin Pamela and her husband Kent? Like an episode from The Body Snatchers, all of the regular ghosts learn a thing or two.
Lily and Ian are getting married in Marlow House and the families are gathering to celebrate. What should be a wonderfully happy time is somewhat tinged on the edges by a relative having an out of body experience. Kent was in a horrible car accident that killed two bad men and one of them took over his body while he was dazed. Now the bad guy in Kent's body is making Lily's cousin Pamela miserable, while Kent trails miserably along. Danielle and Walt try to help Kent while keeping any unpleasantness from ruining Lily's wedding. One funny encounter with Walt has the cop Brian wondering if ghosts really are real. Readers of the series will enjoy the continuing storylines mixed with new in this 14th book.
There has not yet been a book in this series that disappointed. Actually, they have all been wonderful and each book makes the series better and better! The characters are all so real, even the ghosts. I've become fond of all of the characters. In this book Lily and Ian are finally getting married but when Lily's cousin shows up with her husband, who seems to have totally changed since a near-fatal accident a year ago, things get very interesting- and dangerous. I can't praise this series enough.
It's an okay okay, Siri's. It's just a lot of repetition as far as the phrasing and the same conversations between the main characters. Danielle puts on her plaid pajama bottoms and a T Shirt. she's been wearing the same plaid pajama, bottoms for twelve books. Danielle. stands in front of her mirror weaving her dark hair into a fish hair braid. All these main characters doing the exact same thing.Every single book. Jmo but it gets annoying seeming like it's just filler
This was an absolutely riveting book! Loved every second of it!! There
is nothing to dislike about this book! Walt is a truly fantastic character and I love the interaction between him and Danielle. All the mysteries are full of twists and turns. These books are so hard to put down that I usually finish them in a single setting. Can't wait for the next book!! Absolutely love them!!
wedding bell blues Lily is getting married and her cousin and other family comes to stay before the wedding. An I invited guest tags along. They finally address that the officer is called Joe Morrelli. I think a good editor could’ve cleaned that up before publication. Pretty sure I know who the unknown ghost will turn out to be. Our heroes face a new challenge. I knew we hadn’t heard the last of Walt Marlowe!
I read this One out of order because there was a waiting list so i had to come back to it. These books pretty much have to be read in order because each one sets up the story for the next two books. I don't know how the autor does it!! In this book, Ian and Lily tiene the know. Family from near and far come to celebrate, and one of them brings an angry ghost with him. Something is afortunadamente! Can Walt and Danielle prevent a disaster at Lily's wedding?
I enjoyed the storyline surrounding Lily and Ian's wedding; and was happy to have Eva more involved in this story. There wasn't any murder mystery in this book but it was still pretty good because of the wedding and the Kent ghost situation. It was good to have another detective in the series believe in the ghosts. However, I still find the "romance" between Dani & Walt creepy so really don't want to see Eva & Chris go down the same icky path.
Love the whole series, and of course being me, I started with book one. The more I read the more I loved the characters. They are my friends and the only sad part is finishing the book and the LONG wait for the next. Stories are great, some humor, the laugh out loud kind. A good purchase.
Lily is getting married. Thankfully, she will only be moving across the street. Her and Ian's families are coming up for 10 days before the wedding. And Dani is running around trying to ensure the perfect wedding and family get together while also secretly dealing with a mysterious ghost. Another Awesome Mystery.
The storyline around the wedding is very sweet. Lily even managed to make Walt emotional about it (you'll have to read, no spoilers here). There is a funny scene between Walt and Brian. Eva comes back on the scene and plays a significant role in the mystery storyline.
A delightful story as the characters develop further and a way for Danielle and Walter to be together is revealed. I enjoyed the development of Eva joining the crime fighters and how Danielle's circle of friends develop further to help solve each of the mysteries presented. I look forward to the next book in the series.
This is another winner. I love this series and this Author. She writes wonderful mysteries wit ghosts. My favourite stories to read. Her charters are great and now they are like family. Her mysteries are great too. I highly recommend all her books and different series.
I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title. (Audible Membership)
Ian and Lily's wedding brings with a different spirit than expected. An out of body experience and a robber spirit sends the favourite cousin to Lily in a downward spiral. Luckily, the ghost society is on the case, and a possible disaster is averted.
Another awesome cozy murder mystery. I’m enjoying this author.
Even though each of the books in this series refers to “the ghost…” this isn’t a series on paranormal or ghoulish activity. Yes, one or more of the characters of each book happens to be a ghost, this series is light hearted and fun. If you enjoy cozy mysteries I highly recommend this series.
Okay, Danielle and Walt's relationship is getting CREEPY!! Like it’s one thing that they’re super close and all this but the fact that they’re making out in dreams and such?? No! I really love this series, I’ve read every book so far but it’s really starting to put out a gross vibe. Hope something changes or I wont be reading many more.
Another great story!! I loved this book. Lily and Ian's wedding and another mystery involving ghosts!! I love every book in the series!! I can't wait for #15 which is coming in December.
It was as good as the others! I can't wait to read the next one! She is such a good writer. They're serious and humorous at the same time. I love Walt, Danielle, Lilly, and all the others! Keep writing Bobbi so I can keep reading!
I love this series and impatiently wait for the next book. I especially loved how old friends came together after a century. The new avenues are always so well done and written that you just can't put the book down.
I have read all these books and have enjoyed each one immensely! Please keep them coming! These stories have a little bit of everything in them. Hard to put down
I.v red everyone of this books I can't get enough of them, the characters are brilliant, the story lines are great but it also brings together the seriousness of things, but with a very light hearted way
