Megan was fun, she toyed with Tristan because of his reputation not realizing she would totally hook him. But she is an idiot! She keeps going back to the people that hurt her the most, aaarrrggg. It was aggravating, but its also part of what kept me totally hooked. Tristan is a great hero for her, he does whats needed because its whats right, adn he does it with ut expectations from Megan. But he is also an idiot, he completely forgets how to communicate. I think their flaws are what make the story so interesting. I planned appropriately for this book, and made sure I had plenty of time to read it because I knew once I got started I would not put it down. Its nice that as the third book in this series it doesnt take place the very next week, but a few years after the first book, and months after the second book, we get to see how the lives of the characters in the earlier books have progressed.
I started the first book in this series as a way to clear my head so I can read the other books in my TBR list. I haven't been able to read anything else but the rest of this series. Megan's character spoke to me. I even cried for her because of what her family did to her. I'm glad she got a happy ending.
4.5 stars. I found this story funny and heart pulling. It was great when they got to the point that they worked as a team (though I still wonder why she went back a second time). Overall, an entertaining read.
I wasn't prepared to like this as much as I did. Tristan wasn't exactly a good friend to Yasmin in the last book & seemed very detached. In his own book I liked him a lot better. Megan was a good heroine. Her abuse by her father left her damaged though. She comes to terms with her gift & the fact her father (& the rest of her family) don't love her & never will.
