We have been enjoying recipes from this book over the course of the past four weeks. We've tried several and there are several more I'm dying to try. That being said I did add it to my Amazon wishlist for a later purchase. The layout is bright with a picture of each recipe. The directions are simple to follow with a wide variety of choices. The kids helped me make a couple too, so it's family friendly and a great way to get kids into the kitchen. Also there is plenty of room to add or delete items (within reason), which made for a better fit with our family. Highly recommend.
Addie Gundry was the winner of Cutthroat Kitchen in 2015. In this cookbook she presents recipes for many classic desserts, all of them no-bake so you don't have to use the oven. The recipes are easy-to-follow and are great for novices. Lots of choices here for kids. One of my favorites was the Key Lime Pie. I will need to take a look at Gundry's many other cookbooks.
A lovely photographed book of many no-bake desserts. A few of the candies I thought I might make, plus a strawberry pie. But I'm returning the book to the library before I make anything.
Good book for a young cook you may not want operating the stove/oven. Though, some recipes use the stovetop, several needing heat use the microwave.
Fairly good, easy no-bake desserts. Great pcitures and clear instructions. -Pineapple Dream Cake -Chocolate chip cookie Pie -Chocolate- Strawberry Pie -Kool-Aid Pie -Millionaire Pie -Martha Washington Candies -Orange Dreamy dessert
This is a fabulous cookbook for those who enjoy entertaining. I loved all trying out the creative recipes in my own kitchen. The author has a great voice that shines through in each dessert.
The recipes are easy-to-follow and use common ingredients. Great photos and clear text. I found at least ten recipes that I want to make. I would buy this as a wedding gift.
Read recipes carefully. On p. 41 the recipe calls for walnuts and show pecans in the photo. On p. 51 the recipe for fudge calls for walnuts in ingredients, but leaves them out of the recipe.
This has lots of great sweet treat recipes mostly from scratch. There are some recipes that call for mixes, but mostly jello and whipped cream. So many things I want to try!
