SUPER FAST REVIEW:
Thought this would be a fun, even if a bit silly take on one of my favorite characters and guess what? I was right!
It’s a funny, cute (I fell strange saying something is cute in a Dredd comic but it is) take on a usually gritty character which is real cool. I was pleasantly surprised by how unpredictable this comic is. My favorite story in this is the one where Dredd tries to save a pupper! Oh yes, and the art is fantastic!

The only problem I have with it is the last story. It’s a bit too silly in my opinion, even for a book like this and the ending doesn’t make much sense.
Overall it is a hilarious one shot comic that I would highly recommend to fans of Judge Dredd and/or POP! figures. As someone who enjoys both I would definitely recommend this!

Perhaps I'm wrong, but 'Funko' here refers to a series of pop culture toys, in this case Judge Dredd looking like a toy with a bobblehead. But it also appears to extend to the tone of the stories which is quite light hearted and can generate a chuckle despite Judge Dredd's stern outlook.

The book consists of three stories: in the first one, a mutant nearly escapes Judge Dredd, who then proceeds to interrogate the story narrator, which turns out to be a story-bot, for aiding-and-abetting.

In the second, Judge Dredd helps an old lady find her dog in a park full of mutant plants. Is this in-character for Judge Dredd? Probably, but I can't tell, having never seen Judge Dredd attempt to rescue a pet before.

The third is either the most awful or the funniest of the stories: the Dark Judges (Death, Fear, Fire, Mortis) return with a plan to turn all the inhabitants of Mega City One into zombies. With the help of Judge Anderson, Judge Dredd foils their plans; but in the process turns the Dark Judges into something even more 'sinister'.

Definitely not canon for Judge Dredd, but still entertaining in a light-hearted way.

Judge Dredd is the law ... the sweetest law around !!!

Just loved it, Judge Dredd going Funko is the sweetest thing that happened to comics. Of course this is a "parody" to the hyper-seriousness of Dredd comics.

What can I say ? The law, sometimes, can be sweet ...

So, I have put off reading this for a long while because I hated the Funko style. However, once I plunged into this unpleasant water of ugly cuteness the stories were great. As the Funko styling suggests, these are not serious stories, but they capture the essence of Dredd and what we love about him with some great oneliners. All three short stories were good and one star needs to be awarded for Pug Dredd.

A short little collection of humourous stories with every character depicted as a Funko. It's not at all a long comic and has no serious tone at all. Is it worth a buy? Probably not. Is it all in good fun? It sure is.
