Until his death, he was more known to French audiences as a children's author. He was also theater critic for the newspaper Écrits de Paris.

I loved this continuation of the Broca tales, we find a familiar character that introduces us into this new set of short tales, some were taken from other cultures and some were quite different from the original Broca, there was some cannibalism and some were tragic, still it’s a lovely recollection.
