The place, post- apocalyptic Moscow, where one murder causes two deaths and now the body count is rising and it must be stopped. Fae militia officer, Luna Vale will find herself on the run for her life and the lives of those around her when she discovers evidence that could save lives, too bad her superiors are corrupt, or is there a deadly answer to their strange behavior? One prisoner may hold the key to helping her save the world, but can she trust the fierce and handsome Axel? He could be the lesser of two evils and her guts says to go with it. Little did she know her heart and even her body would soon follow, even as they race against time and death, because with the Binding, no one knows where their time is up until their secret binding partner falls dead…and then it is too late.

Prophecy has it a young queen must awaken to save her people, but dark powers will do anything to stop that from happening, it may be time for Luna to call on her own magic and trust in the unknown. Three cheers for teamwork as Axel and Luna decide it is them against the world and no matter what, they must have each other’s backs.

Travel the dark alleys, through the underbelly of Moscow life in a desperate race against total annihilation of the world, fae and human. Let T.F. Walsh pull you out of reality and into a world of magic, danger and non-stop action in BINDING CURSE with powerful characters, deadly twists and a shaky belief in magic and a queen no one has ever seen. This one is another in the five-star column for an author who never fails to deliver!

I received an ARC edition from T.F. Walsh in exchange for my honest review.

What do I say when it’s time to review a book I’ve read? That’s always the question when I begin typing out a review. How can I make it interesting without giving away too much information? What words can I use in place of “I loved it!” or “great read!”??? This is my dilemma people! So forgive me if my reviews sound the same for T.F. Walsh books but I love them all. I thoroughly enjoy her style of writing, the characters are amazing and the non stop action in each story has me mesmerized until the end. Binding Curse is no exception.

The main characters are Luna and Axel. Luna is a fae police officer who wants to protect, serve and do everything by the book. It was her need to help others that led her to defend Axel when she found him being attacked by two men. As the situation escalated, Luna began to realize that things were not what they seemed. The two attackers were acting strangely and extremely difficult to fend off. The weirdness didn’t end there. Once Luna and Axel were back at police headquarters, the situation just kept getting worse. What was wrong with everyone? Why was Axel being treated like a terrible criminal? Why was the council representative there trying to change their procedures to get his hands on Axel? Luna didn’t understand what was happening, but she knew she had to save Axel, even though it meant risking her career and possibly her life. Axel is human, he appears to be a tattooed thug but don’t let appearances fool you. There is serious heart in that hot sexy body and he cannot figure out why he is all of sudden being hunted. As Luna and Axel run from the police and everyone else that is trying to murder them, they will discover powers of their own and a destiny that can possibly save their world.

T.F. Walsh has a true gift in writing. Binding Curse is captivating from the first word until the very last. She weaves a magical world of fae powers and romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat. And as much as I hate the villains in a story, she writes them so well that the book wouldn’t be the same without them. Just when you think Luna and Axel have met their end and there is no way out……BAM! The story takes a magical turn that spirals the characters into an entirely new direction. T.F. Walsh‘s talent with words to create Kutia Hollow and the characters within is absolutely extraordinary. This was an amazing, spell binding journey to be on and I didn’t want it to end. What’s the one thing I’ve definitely learned from this author? You don’t just read a T.F. Walsh book, you live each moment as if you were there.

I loved this book! It has action, suspense and passion off the charts!

Binding Curse: Dark Fae Hollow 4 (Dark Fae Hollows) is a riveting urban fantasy. I loved how T.F. Walsh combined a lush community and the desolate surrounding area into a suspenseful, action packed with combustible emotions between her two characters. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect plot.

T.F. Walsh’s talent as a storyteller deserves high praise for Binding Curse: Dark Fae Hollows 4 (Dark Fae Hollows).

I voluntarily received and ARC of Binding Curse in exchange for an honest review. I will admit the #4 in the title almost had me not wanting to read this story.  You know my whole OCD thing with reading series in order.  I researched the website and read more about what these authors are doing with this series.  It is interesting.  I think they should remove the # from the books and just call them a Dark Fae Hallow stories.  Especially since they can all be read as a standalone and in no particular order.

In Binding Curse, Walsh created a desolate waste land of a post-apocalyptic Russia, that has such a raw and desperate feel.  It was vivid and bleak yet full of action and suspense.  In this world, Fae and humans have a fragile peace only due to the fact their life forces are bond together at birth.

“….every fae and human baby were matched at birth, bond by magic.  If one died, so did the other.”

It was meant to bring peace, however it turned into a curse, when fae and humans are being killed by a dark force that will stop at nothing.

The story was fast paced and loaded with a lot of action and drama.  I just personally didn’t connect with Luna or Axel.  Yet the story was till good.  I am giving it 3 Boundless Stars.

This was a well written, fast paced novel with a unique take on the fae. Walsh packs in a great deal of background information, both about the characters and the world they find themselves in. This makes it easy for readers to approach this tale as a standalone story. The rich narrative sets the stage for the events surrounding the main characters.

I enjoyed getting to know the main characters in this novel, which is good since it was a very character-centric novel. They were well developed and interesting. I enjoyed how easily their stories wove together, even if it wasn't easy. The supporting cast isn't overly developed, but since the tale is so focused on the main couple, their trials, them getting to know each other, their chemistry, it didn't affect the story at all.

The unexpected conclusion to this tale wrapped everything up nicely, allowing me to feel satisfied with the tale, both knowing that this story is complete, and that there is so much more to this world of the Dark Fae Hollow that can be explored.

Plenty of action, suspense and yes even romance in this book!! The author has done it again by writing a book that kept me up all hours of the night and day till I finished it. The character and world building are out of this world. !!

I received Binding Curse in return for an honest review from the author.

Luna's world has changed so much over time and now she has to wait still a year for her world to be healed. She's has come a long way after losing her sister but it's only the beginning. When a prisoner she's t taking in turns out to be more than she expected.

Living among the humans can be rough when they don't trust you things end badly. When bodies are turning up she has to take the word of Alex if she wants to save everyone. The closer they get into finding out what's really going on could be the end of them both. Will they find the real killer in time?

I like Luna she has issues but I think it just makes her even better. I love when my main characters have tragic stories that unite them into a strong couple. I admit I wasn't 100 right off the bat about a potential love interest but he grew on me stealing a little spot in my heart.

I've had my eyes on Binding Curse knowing that I had to drive right as soon as I had a copy in my eyes. The Dark Fae Hollow is a series of standalone novels that share the same concept intertwining into a captivated series. I love the fae concept it's a beautiful story that captured my heart as well as my imagination. Binding Curse is an action packed, a steamy sweet romance that is hard to put down you just have to know how it's going to end. The characters are great Luna is easy to connect with you can't help loving her right from the start. This is my first book by the author and found the writing style easy to get lost in. I can't wait to check out more books by the author as I loved Binding Curse so much. Highly recommend for fans of the fae concepts.

fate had played a part. 5 LIGHTNING BOLTS

I had to embrace my destiny. life would never be the same again. We lived in a death lottery. What if we wasted our time? For the past few days, I’d craved Axel, his caresses, his heat. “Like what you see?” Was swooning permitted? HOLLOW SMOKES! What a FAENOMENAL book!! I was completely captivated from the very start, straight through to the very last word! Hell, I'm STILL captivated! It's almost as if The Binding was performed on me with this book! Actually, that holds true for each & EVERY book I have read of T.F. Walsh's and I have read them ALL!! And I guarantee that it is not a curse, but the exact opposite! As much as I love, Love, LOVE this book, I will admit that as much as I loved Luna from the start – and I did! I swear! - I could easily see the “arrogance” of the Fae through her and there were a few times I just wanted to smack her upside the head! HOWEVER, the more time I spent in her head & her heart, I not only came to fully understand her, but I also found myself agreeing with her decisions and making some of the same ones! And the one major part that I almost "mocked" her for...WOW! Did she ever have more faith than I did! Then there is Axel... *dreamy sigh* oh Axel! He had me from the first glimpse and while there were a couple of rocky moments, he still had me! Yup! Sucker for a cute face and longish hair! wink The creativity & originality of this book is off the charts! I'm not usually a huge fan of post-apocalyptic stories as a whole, but to me, this one feels way different. Maybe it’s because of the Fae, humans and other species. Or maybe it’s because of the magic, powers & romance involved. Maybe it's all due to T.F. Walsh's phenomenal talent and her impressive, legitimate gift. NOPE! It's actually because of ALL OF THAT AND MORE!! The care she takes to develop every aspect to her books is unbelievable! The characters are brought to life with descriptions, personality, history, etc. that makes them become these complex, real people that you feel like you know, and before you know it, you ARE the characters! The storylines are well thought out so that they keep the story moving, sharing just enough to hold you, but not too much as to ruin or rush the story. T.F. takes world & scene building to a whole new level, but again without dragging down the story! It’s the ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY best of ALL worlds when it comes to a T.F. Walsh book and this one is no different! Maybe you ought to see what’s right in front of you. Faes and humans didn’t get along. The binding needs to end. Stop looking back and keep going forward.

Binding Curse: A Dark Fae Hollow 4 by T.F. Walsh is part of the Dark Fae Hollows series. This book can be read as a stand alone novel. In this book we are introduced to Luna Vale. She's a Fae in the militia and she is dedicated to her job. All around her she is hearing about Fae who are dropping dead and fear is running rampant in the streets. Humans and Fae are trying to live while awaiting the return of their Princess but she is not meant to rise for another year. Danger is creeping closer and closer and Luna soon gets a front row seat to what it looks like. When she goes after a vehicle that leaves the city she discovers things that she had no idea were going on. All know about the dissent between humans and Fae but when she sees two Fae attacking and beating a human she steps in to help. However, as she helps out she discovers that there is something off about these Fae. The man she brings in turns out to be a criminal with a mile long rap sheet, Axel. She wants to question him concerning the binding murders but when things go left she has to make a hard decision. Risk her career and her life for this man she just met or leave him to be killed. Making her choice she soon learns that there is something out there looking to tear the world apart and that her and Axel are the keys.
This is the first book that I have read by T.F. Walsh but this book was an engaging read. I didn't want to put it down. The story building is so well done. I love how unique Luna is. She has a special gift but she keeps it a secret because of what the council will do to her if they should ever learn it. She is determined to help Axel but also to protect those who are innocents. While with Axel, Luna learns a lot about both the Fae and the humans. The deeper you go into the story the more twists you come across and the more engaging it becomes.
This story is truly an awesome read. This is the second book that I have read of the Dark Fae Hollows but I am inclined to say that it is probably my favorite when it comes to the characters, story building and how exciting and engaging it was.
If you're looking for an amazing read I highly recommend this novel. I'm sure that you'll enjoy it as much as I did. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Attempting to solve a series of murders in Kutia Hollow, Luna Vale discovers some on her own precinct are corrupt. Her vow to protect everyone from danger bolsters her determination and she busts a criminal out of prison because he has valuable evidence. It doesn't make things easy when Axel is the target of the killers, and she starts to fall for him. Luna must uncover the truth and protect the world she loves or not only will she lose her life but everyone will die.

This marvelous post-apocalyptic urban fantasy takes place in ruined Russia. The world building is fantastic. Fae and humans living not so peacefully together, but forced to do so by a binding each individual is given at birth. While the fae live in clean towns and the humans out in the wild, all of them are plagued by tons of cockroaches and other mutated creatures out beyond the city gates. The history, the politics, and the frightening evil. All of it makes for a unique world that sucked me in.

Luna is akin to a white knight. She's determined to do good no matter the cost, even if it means defying her boss. She's strong, but when everything she has believed starts to crumble, she has to hold on somehow. Axel is the mysterious criminal that takes her on a wild journey. The tension between the two is intense, and I love how their lives get tangled and their relationship grows.

Highly recommended.

To be totally honest, I’ve never read anything by Ms. Walsh before, but I have always had her on my radar to read. When this book became available, I jumped at the chance as it is not only by an author I’ve been interested in reading, it’s also one of my favorite genres, urban fantasy. I’ve also read another book in this universe and was intrigued enough to want to read more. The chance to read this book was just a win all the way around. Well, after reading this book, I’m not only ready for more in this unique universe, I have become a fan of the author. I loved the unique elements in this book which included the binding between fae and humans around birth and the mythology surrounding the Dark Fae Hollows and the daughters who were sacrificed. The characters were intriguing, including the cockroaches and vulsines; they were a wonderful addition to the bad guys! I loved how Luna’s attitude slowly changed through the book for the better and realized the humans weren’t the problem. Her relationship with Alex was also just enough of a romance and didn’t overwhelm the plot. All-in-all, I loved this book and can’t say enough good things about it! Highly recommend! Thanks to the author for the e-book which I reviewed voluntarily.

I received a free ARC and voluntarily reviewed it.

The Fae-Human war finally ended. Fifty years later, the vast wall around Moscow built by the Humans to keep Fae out has morphed into a city inhabited by Fae with the Humans on the outside, in the Outlands, because 'those Fae can't be trusted'. Regardless, the Fae keep the city gates open to all comers.

To put an end to killings between the two races, the Council -- composed of both Fae and Humans -- established the Binding. At birth, every Fae and human were matched, so that if one dies for any reason, the other died as well. Now Fae are dropping dead in large numbers. A Peacekeeper Fae spots a vehicle leaving Moscow at dusk, with no such activity posted as expected. On a hunch, she follows them to the woods, where she sees supposed Fae attack a human - and observed one "Fae's" eyes flash red, and his blood was black instead of red.

The Fae and the Human rush through Russia, tracking the beings that are killing indiscriminately and taking on the appearance of those they kill.

An exciting PNR from TF Walsh with a HEA

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*

4.5 for me. I really liked the fantasy-Dystopian world that Walsh created, it set me right in the action and excitement. Luna was an endearing character, a sheltered officer quickly exposed to the real world conditions humans are forced to live in. It was cool to see the struggles of such a horrid world despite the sorta utopia the fae had advertised for those in the Outlands. Her and Axel's relationship was a very nice build up of trust and understanding just before the romantic bits. I loved his complicated story, how it was revealed and all the things that added up to his importance. It was a great combo of action, suspense and feels that had me crying at some parts. I just really enjoyed it. Recommended read for those who love wars between species, fantasy, Dystopia and the feels.

Axel and Luna are total opposites, or so it seems but as their stories unfold it seems they have much in common. Thrown together by a world that's being destroyed not only by the division between human and faes but by an evil entity set on consuming everything in its path.
Resurrecting princess Kutia a year early may be their only hope but it seems Axel and Luna have a bigger role to play than they could ever have imagined.
This author never ceases to amaze me, no matter which book of hers I pick up I'm not only glued to the pages but always left wanting more, this one was no exception, the story was fresh, exciting and totally absorbing.

Very enjoyable, great chemistry between the characters, a lot of sass, and a good dose of creepiness. I'm keen to try more of this world through the perspectives of the others authors in this series, and also to try some more of Walsh's writing.

Really enjoyed the world and wanted to know more, but was disappointed it's essentially a standalone story in a series where each instalment includes different characters and is written by different authors. It felt unfinished and like there were more places these characters could go.
