Eryn Scott

Eryn Scott is the author of heartwarming cozy mysteries. Her novels feature close friendships and strong families because those are the most important things in her life -- a little humor doesn't hurt either.

She calls the Pacific Northwest home and doesn't plan on changing that anytime soon. Eryn loves to hike, horseback ride, knit, ski, and read. She believes musicals are the greatest thing since lattes, even though she's not particularly good at singing or dancing -- hey, a girl can dream, right?

Her first cozy mystery series, Pepper Brooks, is based on some of the greats in classic literature. Each book features a different author from Shakespeare to Austen. Eryn's newest series is set in a little town called Stoneybrook. The Stoneybrook Mysteries follow local jam-maker Hadley James as she solves mysteries in her town's year-round farmers market. From deceased knitters to sabotaged florists, these crafty citizens keep Hadley and her twin brother, a deputy sheriff, on their toes. Pebble Cove Teahouse Mysteries are great for readers who love a hint of paranormal with their mysteries. These books feature a tiny town tucked between craggy coastline and rocky shores with quirky characters of both the living and non-living variety. Look for new releases from all three of these series in 2022 as well as Eryn Scott's new cozy series.

asdfghjkl.....
IT'S TOTALLY WORTH READING AND WORTH EVERY SECOND OF MY TIME

“I think I love you.”
I reached out, grabbed her chin, and turned her face back toward mine. “Well that’s good, because I know I love you.”

I gotta say that this book has SO MANY goods! Let's make a list!

1) The cover. OMG!!! The cover what kept me intrigued at first, Oh no, i wasn't intrigued. I was Spellbound! It was catchy, cute, and adorable. Gawd, i think i just drooled over again! Ok, i know 'don't judge book by its cover', but sometimes i do, and iam glad i judged it by its cover or i would never pick this amazeballs story!

2) The bluurrrbbbbb!!! It's a forbidden romance ! God knows how much i ADORE forbidden romance! Sneaking, kissing in stolen-times, being forbid by other people--love like this is moreeeee thrilling and amazing to read than 'safe romance'.

3) The story!!!!! I REALLY LIKE IT. PERIOD. IT'S SO CUTE AND SO ROMANTIC AND OMAYGAT, IT'S TOO FREAKING CUTE I SMILED ALL THE TIME! THE FIRST TIME THEY MET IN THE PARK WAS SOOOOOOOOO FREAKIN' ADORABLE. THIS STORY IS CUTER THAN MY PANDA DOLL I SWEAR

4) The characters!!! I NEVER easily fall in love with any character in the first line of the book, but i did. This girl--Ruby, is SO cool!! In real life, i'd be happy to be her best friend! She's the type of person who is really mature, independent, and funny! Reading her thoughts NEVER make me bored. The way her thinking, even though sometimes silly, yet felt so logical and i could relate to her. 100%. And don't even forget about Christopher! Chris is not an alpha male, which make me more interested. (iam so tired with that kind of male sometimes, which always there in NA books). He is a normal guy with handsome face and perfect abs, but he's not manwhore. He's loyal, he's smart, funny, Smart, caring, kind, SMART--without making him a nerd. He's the type of person you want to date and married to in real life. He's the type of person you want to be close too. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

I really adore these two. They are so perfect for each other, like SOOOOOOOOOOOOO PERFECT. The banter between them is priceless.

So basically it's a story between a man and a woman who feel attracted to each other, but sadly they’re working for opposing presidential campaigns. They supposed to be enemy. They MUSTN'T fall in love with each other. But they did, and then there's scandal, and then there's a forbidden romance, after that they fought, broke up, and they totally tore apart, and then there's other people, and then there's a time when they realized that they couldn't be with anyone, because with each other, they're whole. Both of them were missing pieces for each other. And then there's a time when their love was put into a test and they needed to see what matters the most--the family and job they dreamed of for so long, or The True Love.

And then?

Then, there's a happily ever after :)

'RUBY FELT LIKE a missing piece of me, and wrapped around me like she was, I felt whole for the first time in what felt like all-too long. And I knew something in that moment; this was it, I wasn’t going to be able to give her up again.

When Ruby and Chris first run into each other (literally), they discover they have more than a love of running in common. They agree on every point, from their favorite foods to their taste in music, with one huge exception. Ruby is working for her uncle's presidential campaign as a speech writer, and Chris is working for his mentor's presidential campaign as a PR manager. And they're working on opposite sides.

I initially resisted picking up this book thinking I'd had enough bickering over politics to last me a lifetime. But I'm really glad I bought this one, it's more about Ruby and Chris' romance than about any political maneuvering. It was a cute story, their romance was adorable from their first meet cute to the last glimpse we had of them.

This was a clean read with no descriptive scenes. The narration was great, with distinct voices for each character. It flowed really well and immersed me in the story. I liked the ending as it was!

This wasn't a book I would typically pick to read or in this case listen to. Audio form. The author Eryn Scott is a new author to me and was given the opportunity to listen to an audio of Meet Me in the Middle. I do believe I was given a heads up about the parts I wasn't all to excited about but wanted to give it a try. I enjoyed the story, the narrator did a good job as well, I just think the occupations of these characters in the form of politics wasn't my thing. The Romance part and family / friends was enjoyable. Ruby and Chris make a cute couple and the insta-love than hate-love was cute and made this story interesting.

Another fun book by the author, love came liking everything. Then in work they were on opposite sides, made a cute story. Of how even that didn’t stop the fun of how to meet.

"Political Romancing "
Would you listen to Meet Me in the Middle again? Why?
Yes I would as I really enjoyed the story and it made me laugh many times

What other book might you compare Meet Me in the Middle to and why?
none that I can think of

Which scene was your favorite?
When they met in the airport and "used" the family restroom. (made me wonder how many people have done that)

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Political Romancing

Any additional comments?
While I was gifted this by the author I would have given a credit for this book as I really enjoyed it. The only reason I gave the storyline 4 starts instead of 5 is I really wanted to know who won the dang election. I would listen to a book by this author again.

The minute they literally bumped into each other, they feel they are soulmates. But they belong to opposite poles of the political spectrum, and they are hardcore supporters and work for two people who are running for US President.

Meet Me in the Middle by Eryn Scott is a political romantic comedy. It's a about two people ( a republican and a democrat) who found love in the middle of the US Presidential race. I get to have an insight of the process from Candidacy, Primaries, Nomination, and Election through the eyes of the characters Chris and Ruby . This was one very refreshing read which I thoroughly enjoyed !

Amazing story. I just LOVED it. The super funny and intense love story between Ruby and Chris won my heart. Funny moments, intense ones and the romantic ones made this book so perfect. Highly recommended.

Liked it better than I expected

I was afraid that the book would have too much politics and election minutia but I was very pleased at how well the author balanced everything and made imperfect personalities relatable. It was a smile worthy book.

Ruby literally runs into Chris and they hit it off immediately, until they realize they are working on opposite election campaigns. The relationship is as hot as the campaigns. This is a pleasant read but at times a little predictable. Good switch off time!

Intriguing story especially for a West Wing Fan who could picture the storyline of these characters and the fast pace of a campaign.

It is a really good plot. original. The problem, for me, was that I considered a bit of naive. I hoped there was a lot of family interference. Two rivals that até trying to help a hea? I don't think so.

For the most part, it's a cute book. I like the witty dialogue and some of the texting back and forth was really funny. The sex, in my opinion, wasn't really necessary.
