Werewolves exist. Shocking, I know, but not as shocking as the way I want to jump the super hot wolfman that walks in to my office.

Tall, Dark, and Furry has got a problem with authority. He's also batshit crazy. Pity, because nutjobs automatically make my do-not-date list.

On that same list is Anthony, the too-hot-for-his-suits district attorney. Instead of dismantling my cases, why can't he destroy my bra?

As if having the virile attention of a werewolf and a panty-creaming lawyer isn't enough, something is killing people. Witches, to be more exact. Rumor says it's a demon.

I might need a bigger cross - and a king sized bed.

Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .

I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.

I consider myself an Eve Lanlais fan - I've read and enjoyed many of her books. I also consider myself a fan of menage romances - what can I say? I like reading about a little DP...

When I heard about Two's A Couple, Three's The Law being released (December 2013) I was so excited! I rushed out and purchased a copy on release day and settled in for some good reading.

Sadly, Two's A Couple, Three's The Law doesn't live up to what I was expecting. The MC drove me batshit crazy and I wanted to shove a sock down her throat before 20% had passed.

So, let me be honest. I started reading this book on release day in 2013. I stopped because...Chloe drove me crazy and I felt no connection to the characters. But I never removed this book from my TBR and 2015 is the year to clean out those lingering books that I've started and not completed. That meant giving Two's A Couple, Three's The Law another chance.

Two's A Couple, Three's The Law is a full length novel. It's about 200 pages or so on my ereader and the sex starts pretty early. The world building is quite my style but may not work for others: Langlais gives some information about the world and it's state via conversations between characters and/or main character musings instead of holding the reader's hand and explaining every.little.thing. There isn't a lot of info dumping which I also prefer.

One of the things that annoyed me at the beginning of the book was the MC's characterization - or rather the dissonance between how the text described the character and the actions of the character. The MC is described as a woman who is not interested in relationship and is in control of her sexuality. She makes no excuses for her desire for sex or indulging in things like one night stands. I love the sex positive female view point. What annoys me were the constant rebuttals of those descriptions. When the MC initially has sex with the vampire, the text gives the impression that the heroine was enthralled to do so (rather of her own free will). Then later, when the MC drives home with the werewolf for the first time, we get this text:
"He didn't say much, but the hand on my leg, the one with the thumb stroking me, effectively let me know he wouldn't content himself with just a good night kiss."
Not quite what I would expect from a women who owned her sexuality in the way the text implies earlier.

The book continues in this vein for a bit: Chloe's thoughts are rebellious and angry, she wants (whichever) guy that's trying to move in on her out. Although she thought these things (and the reader gets this info), Chloe never voices these complaints and anger. She just lets either of the two men walk right over her while she castrates herself in her mind, calling herself a slut and worse. Several different times I was on the verge of DNFing this book due to that dissonance. It makes a difficult read (for me).

Chloe got on my nerves quite a bit, to be honest. One of the things she did that blew me way more than I expected was her use of the word "Gawd" (God). Seriously. Couldn't she come up with a better word? She's a freaking lawyer, for goodness sake but she has the vocabulary of a 12 year old. *faceplam* I'm tried my best not to do a search for the word but instead I know the word was used at least 38 times. 38 very annoying times. I wanted to slap Chloe every time I saw the word (which was every two pages or so).

Another thing about Chloe that bugs me is her condom thing - as in she fucks one of her men and then bitches at them for not wearing a condom. Umm, seriously chick?? You can't take 5 seconds to protect yourself?? WTF, girl?! I can't believe that she pulls this stunt not once but TWICE. *facepalm* I got sick of her banging without any responsibility.

"Really? That's what you 're going to ask me? How did I sleep? Fine. Just fine. As a matter of fact, my whole world is fine. Dandy even. I'm dating a werewolf and a vampire. I'm out of a job, looking at becoming homeless and having a conversation, naked I might add, with two men who are eying me like a piece of steak."
-pg 134

So, after forcing my way through about 60% of annoying ass Chloe and her "Gawd. My Gawd. Oh my gawd. etc" I finally think the book is going to take a turn in a better direction when BAM! I'm hit with a demon. WTF. Why a demon? What does the demon want? Why is the demon chasing Chloe? I STILL don't know the answers to these questions because the text doesn't answer them.

And the ending sorta (ok really) sucked for me.

AND THERE WAS NO DP. NONE AT ALL. I am SO disappointed. The only reason I forced myself through this book was in anticipation of some good and dirty DP. And there was none. I really feel like I need a little Jet Mykles in my life right now - when she does menage I get DP.

GAWD.

I love this author because her writing style is great. I love how I'm pulled in from page 1 and I'm kept entertained throughout her books. Most of her books make me laugh and this was no different. These characters are funny and the fact that a werewolf finds himself in need of legal help because he urinates on his neighbors flowers just made me laugh. That completely sounded like something a werewolf would do. So that's where Pete (the werewolf) runs into Chloe but once the legal advice is given that's not the end of these two because Pete likes Chloe and even asks her out but is turned down.

Anthony is the assistant DA and runs into Chloe at a bar. They find themselves attracted to one another and end up at her place. When she wakes up alone, she figures that's the end of it but boy is she wrong. Soon Anthony and Pete are both pursuing her and she's dating both of them. How did she get so lucky? Both of these guys are tall, muscular and better than average in bed (wolf whistles).

Anthony has a secret but I kinda saw it coming. There are clues given about his secret so it's not a big twist but did make for a fun storyline. Pete finds himself in legal trouble again so it's a good thing she is so smart and can help him with this mess he finds himself in. But this also adds a bad guy to the mix that made the second half of this book really interesting. The paranormals have come out of hiding in this world and humans know about most of them but there are still some that prefer to stay a myth or hidden. I really liked this aspect of the book and thought it had a good ending.

This was a fun book and had me smiling several times.

I haven’t wanted a book to end so fast in my life. I have a silly habit of not being able to DNF a book, I have to see it through because what if it gets better?? It did not. If fact it got worse. I originally had books 1-3 as one audio book so I was going to listen to the whole trilogy and girl I could barely make it through the first one. It was just so odd. It’s like a Twilight lover’s wet fantasy and I hated it. I’ve also never read Twilight so maybe I just don’t have the appreciation for a werewolf, vampire, and a lawyer threesome. Besides the terribly weird and cringy sex scenes, the characters sucked booty. They were so boring and just miserable to listen to. Also the world that they lived in was so goofy. Like there was a law that said people needed to have more threesomes?? Like get out of here with that goofy nonsense. I was so sick of this. I’m still sick of it!! 1/10

Ok so this book was nothing like I expected. I was expecting the typical paranormal threesome book where it's all about claiming ones mate and fighting and all blah, blah, serious blah. There were some serious moments in this book but not like I thought. Besides the awesome sex, there were a bunch of "bwahahahaha" moments for me. I seriously put that in my notes quite a few times.

Apparently Chloe and everyone else live where it's now encouraged to be in a more than two relationship. Threesomes, foursomes and moresomes are strongly encouraged. I have to admit that I am a little jealous here and I now am going on a search for this place. Chloe was a very hit and miss character for me. More miss than hit. She was very repetitive with the "gawd" and her whole relationship speech. I wanted to look at her and tell her to shut the fuck up and to take what she could get. I was now understanding why she was single. She also seemed a little stuck on herself at times. Plus her close mindedness drove me a little nuts also. But I can't really pick on that to much because she did start to open up in the book, then BAM that mind started to close again. I do get why that happened but jeez chick, seek therapy take some drugs and get over it. She really did have her funny moments though and that's what I liked. I liked Pete and Anthony but I do wish there was more to them. Pete was just hilarious and so sweet. Anthony was stuck up but it was a good stuck up lol. He loosened up a little and he did have his mushy moments also. But they seemed like 95% horndog, 98% of the time. You rarely got to see them. If you know what I am saying. So beside the funny stuff, I am iffy on the characters.

I liked the story. I loved the new world and laws. I was a serious green eyed monster here for a bit. But there were so many unanswered questions. What happened to all the pets? Why was the demon here? Where the hell is that coven? Who the hell was the traitor? And the book just kind of ended for me. I really hope their story does continue because I want to know if she accepts them, do they have babies? I mean come on. I know it seems like I am mostly complaining here but I did enjoy the book. The sex was whew hot at times, but I wanted more threesome scenes. Who can blame me? The story was funny, full of mystery, some action, blood, gore and tears. So overall I did like the story and like I said I was iffy with the characters. Hopefully there will be a book number two where we can get some answers.

I have read a few of Eve Laglais books and most have been either real hits or real misses. This fell in the middle with a sorta shrug on if I liked it.

So the paranormal world has outed themselves and things have not been the same. Now I am not saying every type of paranormal being has been outed, but shifters definitely have. They now have to register to get some protections.

Chloe is a public defender and you wouldn’t really believe the cases she gets like this one: Pete is a shifter who’s peeing on his neighbor’s landscaping because he thinks she is a witch going after his birds. Why her? After talking him down he asks her out and Chloe won’t go for that even if he is tall, dark and handsome.

Throw in she hasn’t won a case against her nemesis, Anthony, the District Attorney. When they meet by chance at a bar, it leads to some hot sex with someone she believes she detests.

But that’s not the end to Pete who tracks her down and gets in good with her parents, but also gives her an experience in bed to rival Anthony. What’s a girl to do when she doesn’t want commitment, but has two males sniffing her way?

Something’s suspcious about Anthony and we all know what Pete is so who’s killing all the witches, even Pete’s horrible neighbor?

Oh, did I mention men outnumber women so there are tax breaks on taking more than one husband? And that Chloe has two dads?

This was full of fun moments, but it got old fast as Chloe kept fighting her attraction to the two until they got her to bed. It got tiring and I never felt there was any rhythm to them all falling into each other to make a HEA of the menage kind.

While shifters are a known species, everyone seems shocked when they meet up with other paranormal species like demons and vampires. While I liked this world Eve created, it never really developed into a world I could understand or want to be apart of. Mostly I ended up being annoyed with Chloe. Oh, but I could keep her snarky best friend who seemed to find some man meat to fill out the sandwich.

So if you love snarky females, this one’s for you. If you like denial and avoidance, yep, you guessed it, this one is for you. If you want a funny, story of lovable characters who kick ass, then I think you might want to skip this one.

I thought this one had some promise, but as I read it, it didn't work for me. Chloe annoyed me. She says she hated the DA she keeps going up against, yet goes home with him for a night of fun. Then there is the werewolf she has as a client, who she lusts after, sends away, but her parents invite to dinner. Too much for me to buy in to. In the end this one just isn't for me.

4.5 stars. If I get the itch to read it again in the next month, it's going to 5
Yummy good story!

There were a few questions left unanswered though:
Why did the demon target Chloe?
Why did both these guys suddenly 'focus' on Chloe at the same time?
What was up with the dream Chloe had the night of the full moon? With both guys in it?

I absolutely love this book. It had a little bit of everything to have you hooked from beginning to end. There suspense, intrigue, action, and of course steamy romance. I really hope her bff get her story told. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read looking forward to reading more books in this series.

Sigh. This is not my week for reading apparently. I usually enjoyed Langlais’s books. They are usually fun and quick reads but with this one I had some issues. I did not like the main character Brenda. She was very annoying and her emotions were all over the place. Also all the conversations in the book, so far anyways, were about sex, this included her internal dialogue as well. I just couldn’t take it anymore and decided to stop because I want a character with more substance.

I am trying to pinpoint what it is about the Eve Langlais books I have listened to fall flat for me. Maybe it is the great reviews that I see for most of this authors books. This one might have helped had I read the synopsis I would have understood better the plot and what areas will have higher priorities.

Chloe Bailey is one of our main characters. She lives in a world where there are far fewer women than men. Relationships are encouraged to have more than one partner. Chloe doesn't want that kind of life, in fact, she's fed up with committed relationships completely. Then she has encounters with the werewolf Pete, and her enemy of the courtroom Anthony. So now she is not only being pulled into a menage situation against her own rules, but she's also doing it with supernaturals.

I want to say that half of the book, maybe even more than that, concentrate completely on the trio and their relationship. It was interesting for awhile, until I got tired of Chloe's fight against what she wants from their relationship.

I went into this book expecting a mystery that was as involved as the romance. Evening my two favorite parts out a little bit. Unfortunately the action only played a very small part in Indecent Werewolf Exposure and was over before I knew it. Then we go back to Chloe trying to figure out her life with the two men in it. Don't get me wrong, I love my romances, but I also love getting conflict and action. Indecent Werewolf Exposure left me wanting more of the witch killing plot. When everyone finally confronts the trio, I felt like it was more to show Chloe what she was getting into with her two "fuck friends". So the book ended up being primarily about the three main character's love lives instead of paying any time and attention to the whole witch killing crime.

Chandra Skyye's attempt at the narration for this story I felt could only be considered average. Her male voices were over exaggerated. Especially her tone for Pete the werewolf. She took the gruff, masculine werewolf voice and made it sound way too deep. Sometimes I could barely hear what he was saying. The narration was a bit of a disappointment for me.

If you prefer your reads to concentrate on the romance alone, then Indecent Werewolf Exposure would work pretty well for you. I just prefer to have more action and mystery to my PNR & UF.This review was originally posted on Rantings of a Reading Addict

Fangirl alert: I love both menage books and Eve Langlais's writing. And werewolves. And other things that go bump in the night. So, you know, this one hit the spot. AS EVE LANGLAIS BOOKS TEND TO DO WITH ME.

Since that's out of the way, WHOO-EEE. Smokin' Alphas know how to give the lady a good time! Honestly, the two men couldn't be more different but they both light a fire in Chloe. And, man, does she fight it. She doesn't want to be involved with anyone long term, but those two delectable hunks just keep showing up and insinuating themselves into her life.

And into her pants. Really, though, can you blame her? Sexy men are sexy!

Meanwhile, Pete and Anthony aren't too keen on having another male invading their territory. Watching them come to terms with sharing Chloe with each other was fun. Because Alphas have a hard time backing down. And Chloe doesn't want to decide between them.

Fun and fast-paced with Eve Langlais's usual brand of sassy characters. I do love the ladies that can hold their own against bossy men. *thumbs up all around*

Interesting story. I liked Anthony and Chase but never really warmed up to Chloe. The sex was hot between the three of them but the sparks didn't seem to be there in non-sexual encounters. Good but not one of Langlais's best stories.

It's a light funny witty paranormal potential tirade romance. It claims no big fantasy experience, just a chase in romance and maybe a witch killer to find.
The world is new to the paranormal, and the way they have been discovered was by chance, and since that chance, more and more sups have announced themselves. Made me laugh when I heard how the fairies came out!
There is lots of smut and very well written hot smut, luckily FMC. Although our FMC is funny in some aspects, she does annoy me on others, like her prudish or stubborn ways. But that's her.
The two MMC we don't learn a lot about, we just learn enough to know they are hot and pantie wetting hot. The connection we get to them relies on the connection to the FMC, besides that, there is not much else we can say about them.
Funny, high smut levels and light in character building with a strong world build.

3.5 stars (mostly for the great smut)

Sooo... this was steamy but vanilla at the same time! It was so easy to read and I actually liked the world the story was taking place. Chloe was a nice heroine. My only issue was the last chapters of the book. I felt that they were rushed, otherwise it was good.

Cute story. The whole demon thing for me was left unfinished. I had questions even after it was over and I was wondering why they weren't being answered. That detracted from the story a lot. 2 stars.

Eve Langlais is a go-to author for me because I love her writing style, her humor, the sizzling romances, and the quirky set ups for her stories. Usually I get caught up in her series, but I stumbled across this standalone on my TBR pile and decided to finally give it a go.

The set up was interesting. Its a world with humans and paranormal races living side by side. Some supernaturals are 'out', but many are not. This world also has changed the laws to reflect that the world also has a shortage of females- polygamy and polyamorous relations are legal and encouraged.

Against this setting is a snarky female human lawyer content with being alone and occasionally scratching an itch. No way is she getting in a relationship with one let alone more men. But her perfect little plan hits a snag when a hottie werewolf with a penchant for trouble bounds into her life and refuses to leave and he's followed by his opposite though equally determined male who vies for her attention. Both want her and she wants both of them if she is honest with herself. Meanwhile, a killer is on the loose.

Usually, this plot would be so my thing. And I did like it overall, but I didn't love it.

The heroine, Chloe, as the key player in the romance wasn't convincing for me. The romance problematic because at first I was fine that she wanted to live fancy free and I didn't like how neither guy or her mom ignored her stated wishes about not wanting a relationship. Then when it's obvious that Chloe likes both guys and even wants the relationship, it got annoying to watch her deny and fight it just because she had one cheating boyfriend. And when all's said and done, these three were hot in the sack, but not convincing outside it. Chloe didn't even like either guy in the beginning and it felt more like they wore her down with sex than that a real connection was made.

My favorite part of the story was Chloe's best friend. She cracked me up when she called Chloe out on her denying and lies and kept her honest with herself and with others. This gal knew how to cut loose and live large, too.

All in all, it was moderately enjoyable. Won't be my favorite by the author, but that's alright because there are plenty of fantastic books still waiting for me to read from her purple aliens to her quirky shifters and sigh... more Lucifer.

Triggers: Murder
Subgenres/ Tropes: Reverse Harem, Paranormal Romance/ Erotica

Spoilers Possible

I absolutely DNFed this book. Within the first 45 mins of this book the author “explained” (Not really) her “world” and already had the heroine fuck one of the heroes and introduced the other. There was absolutely no emotional connection, in fact there was little more than a few sentences before the two fucked. There was just no build up at all, just hi my name is, my world is, bang. This book is only 7 hours long… I just don't see love happening in such a short time for three people. Pretty sure this book is just sex, sex and maybe a little thrill from the murder aspect.

I will say that I have only found one Reverse Harem series that I liked and it was a slow burn type between 6 people. These insta love stories have never been my cup of tea especially when the books are little more than erotica with a small storyline. This was my first time with this author and while I’m sure that many people love her books, if this is pretty standard for her books I don't think I’ll be continuing. I can tell that her writing is pretty good but it's just not for me, which is why I rated it 3 stars instead of 1 like I normally would for a DNFed book. More power to yall if you enjoy sex scenes, I just get bored with them quickly.

I really love Eve Langlais books. They are always funny and entertaining. This one, however, didn’t quite live up to her usual quirky brilliance.

I love paranormal books and the synopsis was intriguing, but it totally wasn’t what I was expecting. With a shortage of women in the world, it has become the norm to have threesomes, foursomes or moresomes as a typical family since the “coming out” of paranormal beings. With Chloe and her two suitors, the story took on a different vibe that I didn’t really get into. Instead of having the threesome be a unit, it was more of a scheduling between who got to spend time with the Chloe. I would have liked to have seen a more “together” union instead of it feeling like a timeshare relationship.

I also didn’t like Chloe. She was hurt pretty bad in a previous relationship and had huge hang-ups with trust. She didn’t want a relationship but one-night stands were no problem for her. Chloe never got over her issues and still, at the end of the book, wasn’t fully committed and still wary of the two men who’d do anything to keep her. Chloe’s constant doubts and the emotional distance she kept between herself and the two men got old after a while and had me losing interest in the story.

The dialogue—which is always expected to be hilarious and filled with sexual innuendo—was a little too over the top in this book. I felt myself rolling my eyes more than laughing at Chloe’s life views and crazy antics. There was also A LOT of sex in this book, which normally I don’t mind but I would have liked more of the relationship development in exchange for a few of those super steamy scenes.

All in all, this was an okay read for me.

OK, here is my big confession - I am a huge Eve Langlais fan. Sometimes you just need a huge dose of chocolate, a hot bath, a glass of wine, and some good old sexy belly laughs, and she ever fails to deliver. So, last night, chocolate, hot bath, a merlot blend I just discovered that I like quite a bit, and I settled in for an Eve read.

Chloe is a hoot. Snarky and tough, she has no interest in any kind of relationship. . . At. All. So, she enjoys her crappy paying job as a public defender, working with her friend Becky whom she has known since kindergarten, defending way more weirdos than she would like (well, at least they do make her life interesting) when a werewolf walks in her door. He's been charged with peeing on his neighbor's roses . . .

Literally.

And what happens after is a hoot. Cause it isn't just the werewolf that is 'dogging' her tracks (get it? Dogging? Giggle! Ah, well, sigh) there is the local prosecutor who is sniffing up her skirt as well. Well, maybe not, 'sniffing' per se. . . but anyway, you get the point.

Demons and werewolves, other things that go bump in the night. And a pair of men who won't take no for an answer? All I can say, is funny, and sexy baby, funny and sexy! With the male population overrunning the world, polygamy is the law, but Chloe isn't having any of it - is she?

Fun, relaxing, exciting, it's all there. If you are up for a paranormal romance with a ton of sass, enjoy!!

I absolutely loved this book! Eve Langlais has a way with writing paranormal books. She takes something old like vampires and spins a whole new take on them. Everything you thought you “knew” about the paranormal just forget it for this book because she is rewriting them all.

I really liked Chloe because she didn’t have a problem standing up to her two alpha males. Sure she was a little bit of a commitment phob and very against threesomes but it was just her own insecurities. Let’s face it if your parents were a triad you would have issues about jumping into it too. Lol I liked how she keep arguing with herself about the two guys. When push came to shove she admitted her feelings for them and went above and beyond showing it to them.

I liked Pete and Anthony. They seemed to be like polar opposites. Pete was very crass and a werewolf while Anthony was refined and a vampire. They could have pulled her in a thousand directions and fought each other but they didn’t. They choose to accept that she liked them both and made it work. They stilled ribbed each other but that is what men do.

As always Eve knows how to write smoking hot sex. I mean seriously hot… and very inventive. If you like paranormal or ménages then this is a book for you! You won’t regret it and it will keep you warm for those cold winter nights that are coming.

Eve has delivered us fantastic hot ménages stories for years now, but Two's A Couple, Three's The Law tops them all for me.

Two's A Couple, Three's The Law delivers just the right amount of romance and paranormal without going overboard on either one. It will satisfy the light paranormal readers all the way to the hard core paranormal readers like me, so there is something for everyone that loves romance. This is story is a hot erotic romance so expect lots of hot sex between a threesome. The only thing you won’t find is anal sex so this story is great for readers who don’t like reading anal sex.

Written in first person POV, Chloe’s really surprised me I thought she was going to stay strong throughout everything but she finally lost it and this really made the whole story seem more real to me. I love to be able to feel the emotions the characters are going through.

Pete and Anthony are not friends and as you read you’ll find they are complete opposite of each, which made the story even more interesting. These two hotties will do anything to keep Chloe safe and theirs.
Chloe friend Brenda really takes life in this story and I’ am really hopping she will bug Eve to death for her own story.

I recommend this M/F/M story to readers whole loves erotic romance or erotic paranormal romance.

More like 1.5 stars, but I'm feeling generous today.

Some of the setting intrigued me, but since I spent the majority of the book rolling my eyes at Chloe (oh my gawd), I can't say I entirely enjoyed my visit to this paranormal spot. Chloe was at times deeply annoying, beyond the overuse of "gawd." For what I assume is meant to be a sex-positive book, it's really kind of not, outside of the sex scenes. And really, Chloe's TSTL moment was just too much.

My sense of humor and the author's clearly do not jibe. So it goes. That's super subjective criteria, and if I were perfect, it wouldn't color my review or rating, but I'm not and it does. If something grates, it grates.

If there's a sequel and if I can pick it up on the cheap or, better still, if I can get it from my library, I may give thought to seeing what Chloe and Pete and Anthony are up to. But otherwise, I can't say that I'll be upset if I miss the opportunity to visit with them again.
