I decided it was high time I finally read Trigun. It's always been one of my favorite anime shows. I'm giving the first volume a 3.5 because the art starts out on the rough side and there are occasional pages where I had trouble figuring out what was going on. If you've seen the 98 anime, most of what you read in these first three volumes follows pretty closely. There's a few things here or there that are different, but you know what to expect. Sometimes the art is a bit messy but that evens out as it goes on. I appreciate that the manga is often more brutal than the show ever was. If you're a fan, definitely read it.

Un clásico que tenía pendiente y me alegro de iniciar su lectura.
A parte de la trama que contiene algo de misterio sobre quién es Vash y cómo ganó su sobrenombre o la razón por la que lo siguen la historia posee toques de comedia sutiles que van perfecto con la personalidad del protagonista.
Sin embargo, a pesar de que la historia es interesante y dinámica la lectura es pesada, por ende no lo recomendaría como una lectura para pasar el rato.

Nightow offers science fiction fans an intriguing blend of western tropes and cyberpunk style in this opening entry, a bit messy in its visuals but decently charming by its cast and humour. Just who is this strangely peace-loving gunslinger?!

Welp, thanks to the anime I’ve fallen down the Trigun hole. I love Vash so much, but reading this on it’s own first would have been confusing ngl.

Hoy mi espalda no quiere cooperar conmigo, tampoco mis ideas, mi corazón o mis pulmones. Mis sentidos están fallando, algo en mi se apaga; no estoy en coordinación conmigo mismo; simplemente estoy desafinado; deprimido. Para hacerme sentir algo y para tener algo del que sostenerme (Solo por un momento) hoy quiero escribir de mi libro favorito, la historia mas importante para mi y para mi vida: Trigun
Genuinamente se me hace importante decir que si no fuera por este manga ya me hubiera suicidado. Va en base de los temas de la historia y su mensaje que me dio tanta esperanza. Solo hablare de Trigun y no de Trigun Maximum, o si no esto sería muy largo. Intentare evitar spoilers por lo cual puede que mantenga mi lenguaje algo vago y no directo (Si genera confusión ¡¡¡¡LEA EL LIBRO!!!!!) También intentare que esta reseña sea breve hablando solo de los puntos que en mi
(¬_¬ ).- ⭐opinión⭐ son los mas importantes (Podría escribir un libro de mil paginas sobre todos los mensajes y sutilezas que hacen esta historia tan increíble pero intentare controlarme.)
La historia se pone en un mundo desgarrador, lleno de muerte, de tristeza, de tragedia y de crueldad; es imperdonable en naturaleza, ilógico, incomprensible. Tiene sentido que el personaje principal (Vash la Estampida) sea un paralelo del mismo mundo: para lo imperdonable el perdón, para lo ilógico el entendimiento y para lo incomprensible el sentimiento. Amor y paz; son palabras que he escuchado tantas veces pero nunca me han hecho tanto sentido hasta que leí esta historia.
El primer mensaje es el sentimiento de abandono, de condena de frustración; cuando no tienes poder para hacer nada; cuando lo escondes todo bajo una sonrisa triste; cuando piensas que todos están mal por tu culpa. Y es la culpa el motivador mas fuerte de esta historia: Cuando es un ahogo interminable. ¿Cómo usamos nuestro dolor? ¿A quién culpamos? Es un binario fuerte, Vash enmascara su dolor para proteger a los demás y es pacifista porque se culpa a si mismo por la destrucción que le ha ocurrido al mundo (Buscando entonces, el perdón). Knives Millions (El antagonista) es lo opuesto, de su dolor nace su crueldad y culpa a los demás por lo que le hicieron.
El segundo mensaje viene en la forma del abuso; el legado de dolor que se nos a impuesto. Todos tenemos un pasado, una historia, traumas, un legado. De alguna forma u otra, hemos sido rotos, usados y abusados. El legado que se nos deja es lo que marca nuestras acciones. Es el caso en la historia de las armas Gung-Ho, Bluesummers (Personas diseñados para causarle dolor a Vash) y Knives. Personajes que sufrieron dolor, tortura, violación y desastre. Knives se aprovecha de su situación para usarlas como armas de venganza, y, el ciclo continua; seguirán matando, seguirán destruyendo, seguirán construyendo su legado y su dolor.
Esto nos lleva al tercer mensaje: Lo que es un legado de dolor solo puede romperse con perdón, es duro, pero esa es la naturaleza de la libertad: cada quien escoge su propio camino; La venganza es puesta como lo opuesto de la libertad. Cuando las Armas Gung-Ho caminan bajo la sombra de venganza, pierden su libertad y lo que una vez los ato a sus seres, lo dicen sus nombres, ya no son personas solo utensilios de destrucción. Perdonar es difícil, hasta puede ser mas difícil que matar, esto lo hace muy claro la historia, hay personajes que son imperdonables. Pero, intentemos perdonar aunque no sea merecido, sino porque todos merecemos paz, merecemos libertad, merecemos un legado mejor.
Lo cual lleva al cuarto y el mas fuerte de los mensajes: El amor. El mundo es cruel, frio, inconsciente. Vash es un personaje que se siente solo, inconsolable, culpable. Es tan grande su culpa que piensa que no puede ser amado y que no merece ser perdonado por nadie. Los personajes de Wolfwood, Millie y Meryl (Sus compañeros) junto con otros personajes son los que, por un corto momento, hacen a Vash reflexionar de algo ¿Qué tiene de malo sentirse amado? ¿Qué tiene de malo sentirse querido, sentirse que importas, sentirse cuidado, sentir cariño? No somos armas porque no podemos disparar, no somos fuego porque no podemos quemar, no somos basura, no somos garras para matar, no somos parásitos, no somos un problema, no somos mentiras; Somos luces que brillan, que le dan energía a los demás, que alimentan una flor, que piensan, que liberan, que sienten y hacen sentir, que pueden cantar entre sí, que pueden hacer de esta vida una hermosa aventura; somos corazones ¿Qué otra cosa podemos hacer si no amar?
Cuando me vaya a acostar y mire a las estrellas, espero que también puedan verme, con sus plumas y su luz.
Cuando vea la luna quiero sentirme curado mientras le cuento de lo que me paso hoy.
En mi ser incompleto quiero sentir un relámpago, quiero que su naturaleza me de un abrazo.
Cuando veo hacia el infinito, solo puedo pensar en esos ángeles caídos de dicha y de condena.
Espero juntarme con todos una vez mas para recuperar las piezas del amor perdido.
¿Eso solo es un sueño no? Que importa, no me rendiré porque esta en mi corazón.

Vash the Stampede is on the run.
With a notorious $60 billion dollar bounty on you head, who wouldn’t be?
Unfortunately, he’s entirely too conspicuous wherever he goes. Distinctive red duster, pointy blond hair, extensive prostheses, and, not to mention, the inhumanly precise shooting.
Not that Vash is showing off—he’s a staunch pacifist.
Only one person is deserving of his ire—and he’ll stop at nothing to he finds that person.
Until then, Vash is traversing the Wild West of this terraformed planet, helping those in need, avoiding agents of the government trying to capture him, and searching for clues about his past.
But, will what he find bring him the closure he needs?
So, I’ve finally decided to take the plunge into this classic. [What can I say? The anime finally convinced me.]
I’m not really a fan of westerns but, add some cyber punk elements and revenge plot line, and you might just get me~
I appreciate how dynamic this story is—there’s always some logical impetus for moving the story forward. Plus, the action scenes are wholly incredible.
I’m always a sucker for a protagonist with a lot of emotional baggage but a heart of gold too~
Definitely looking forward to reading more of this series~

I might be SLIGHLY over-fixated on this series. To be upfront, I've watched the '98 series twice (in like a month), watched the Badlands movie, and I also completed Trigun: Stampede. I was going to buy the manga, but apparently, there are some translations issues, so I'm reading what I can get online, and this series is online. Yayy.
ANYWAY.
This series is really spectacular.
I'm convinced it ONLY didn't get as popular / iconic as Cowboy Bebop because Meryl and Millie don't show off their bodies, ha. But the story is absolutely more unique and pressing than CB's.
The manga, thus far, follows pretty closely to the '98 anime. I enjoy the manga's dry humor, the art is great, and the story seems to be unfolding at the same pace as the anime... Slow at first, without tooooo much build up, but it's just enough fun and love and humor MIXED with the angst, pain, and heavy thoughts. It's a cool mix, especially one we don't see often in entertainment nowadays. (Actually, as an author, I write/publish things similar to this!)
Overall, I love this series because of the character dynamics, the topics it addresses, the action, and the unique setting.
I'm excited to read more.

I decided to read the original story after watching Trigun Stampede and although I really prefer the current plot in the anime, I never get tired to see Vash cheerful behavior whether it’s in the anime or in the manga!

ONE OF MY FAVORITE MANGAS EVER!!!!! >_< so so so good the characters love them all sm vash the stampedeeeeee i luv uuuuuuu
It has a very distinctive style and even though it looks a little bit messy sometimes i find that i like it regardless, or rather because of its erratic style.
The beginning feels scattered and all over the place but by the second part the story really comes together and thats what really makes it worth getting through the first few chapters for

So far as I remember, this was basically the anime? I recently realized there's a second anime and that surprised me - where the heck have I been? I'm guessing that is an adaptation of Trigun: Maximum - I dunno.
But, as far as this one is concerned - I really enjoyed it. For some reason I thought it would be much longer, but it's pretty short. Maximum is like 10 times as long. I can't unhear the dubbed voice for Vash when I read these, and I'm totally okay with that. I think he was perfect.
