What sets (these rooms) apart is that they are all in big and small ways magnificent repositories of diverse cultures and visions…’the geography of a life’…like mirrors…reflect who their owners are in a most personal way.
This gorgeous and enormous design book has a decidedly European flair with many of the homes in London, Paris and Berlin and then reaching across the waters to Tangier, Marrakech and Morocco. Miguel Flores-Vianna, editor, photographer and AD contributor, beautifully captures the homes of artists, designers and tastemakers and with his discerning eye turns rooms into high art.
There is a decayed sort of opulence to these environs, every page is robust with color, objets de art and well-lived furnishings, but there is also such life springing from its pages. I would no sooner cut off my arm than cut out a page from such a magnificent book, but so many pages would make for beautiful artwork.
This unquestionably falls into the inspiration category versus practicality, but if you enjoy looking at spaces that have been curated over time and reflect the authentic vision of a chic bohemian then this voluminous design book will surely enchant.

Oxfordshire was 100% my favorite. In the running were The Dolomites, Italy - Ibiza and Montauk - and Ingenio, Gran Canaria....not 100% sure in that order.

Haut Bohemians is an exquisite book that offers glimpses into highly fascinating mansions from all over the world. Text and photographs are by Miguel Flores Vianna, both equally beautiful, poetic, and by itself pieces of art. Accompanied by short introductions the images are as distinguished as are the houses and their owners. A unique view into some of the finest private owned houses. A treasure of a book.

Incredibly inspirational. More and more, I find myself wanting to create more unconventional spaces, and this was the perfect way to armchair travel and peer into the design sensibilities of some amazing artists.

wow, rich people! looking at your homes is teaching me a lot about my personal color palette likes and dislikes. and that I'm not a fan of very tasteful homes or at least I don't want to live in one.
