Commission Captain and special operative Sevan Vasil has enough problems without the strange dreams that seem to be his mind’s version of a cruel joke. No woman could be that perfect…except perhaps his fated mate. No human or alien alive would dare answer a lion-shifter’s call. Not with the state of unrest and anti-supernatural movement in the universe. When the raven-haired beauty who invaded his dreams appears on his communication screen, he knows everything is changing, and maybe destiny is on his side. And just maybe, she is his mate. He just needs to find a way to keep her safe on her own planet before he can keep her for eternity.

Fantastic science fiction romance! I always look forward to reading Roth's books because she makes the impossible possible. Her characters are vibrant and leap off the page. This one is no different.
The is book 1 in the Project Exorcism series. Captain Sevan Vasil has been having these erotic dreams for 6 months. 6 months of these strange yet powerful erotic dreams where the dreams seem so real. Sevan wonders if he has dreamed this woman to life because the woman on his comm screens allowing him to make an emergency landing on her planet. Sevan believes this woman could be his mate but thinks fate would be cruel to show him something that he could never have because he is a were-lion and he knows he can never risk having children or getting married. Loreli Janelle has been dreaming the same dreams as Sevan. When she answers a distress call from a ship orbiting her planet, she sees it is captained by the man in her dreams. She is so unsure to give him leave to land on her planet but she does –because something in him called out to her. This is a great premise for a series. Paranormal Payload is sci-fi based with a paranormal flavor in how earth went thru this HUGE killing off of about every type of race, breed, animal and here you have the strongest will survive type with a cast of characters and secondary casts who need their own stories like ASAP. I loved Sevan and Loreli’s chemistry. It leap off the page and carried it thru the end. Really good!! Highly Recommend

"I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
This book was a joy to read. I fell in love from the beginning and could not put it down till the end. We watch as two mates find each other and fight to be together. Can't wait to see what happens next.
This story was okay but doesn't stand up to any of the other books I have read by Mandy. I didn't find very much story. The fated couple spend much of the book thinking and rethinking the same things about each other. I became bored. But of course, I had to find out what happened. So I skipped those sections that were very similar to previous sections and found it more interesting. I won't be reading more in this series.
Earth long ago had decided to rid it's self of Supernatural beings. They were wrong those who had little trace enough to hide it or who where to mask it remained if caught they would be executed. The Supernatural's that were sent from Earth to the far reaches of space where long thought to have been killed in a storm in space they were so wrong some managed to have landed safely on unknown planets undetected . Captain Sevan Vasil worked for the Commission the very people who rid the earth of Supernatural's but they did not know he was one too.It was so faint the when he was test it didn't show up. Sevan enough troubles with the fact that every night for the past 6 months he had exotic dreams of a woman that was so perfect to him he knew in his own heart and soul did not exist. Except for his mate his only problem was he was a were-loin and could not call on to her in fears of been found out what he truly was. Lorelei was worlds apart and she too was dreaming of a mate she knew she could never be and her world and customs would see to it that their mating even if it was meant to be. Things change when the two's worlds meet due to a mission a broken ship and a fight for their lives due to some unseen evil force.
OMG I just love Ms. Roth's worlds whether it be sci-fi or just a shifter series like the Immortal Ops or the King of Prey series. She just creates believable worlds and characters. I remember reading this under the Project Exorcism of Paranormals from Earth. I loved Sevan then along with those Janelle women.
In this opener Sevan is the Captain of a spaceship full of men and women who have paranormal dna but haven't shifted just enjoy the strength and other gifts. He has recurring dreams of Lorelei and falls in love as she is his ideal mate in every way but they are only dreams at least thats what he thought until he has to request for emergency landing on her planet.
I just cannot wait for more from this world. I was fortunate to have been given an advance copy because my finances are very limited and I cannot score a copy of my own but you can and i highly recommend this to all who love alien shifter stories.
Dream Mate is more than just a dream Captain Sevan Vasil has always had to hide the fact that he has a bit of Lion Shifter in his blood. While on a voyage his ship suddenly needs repairs at a planet not part of the Commission. Only to find his dream lover a real live being on said planet. I loved this story and everything about the world created. Got some good and bad guys and a love story mixed in. I could not put down once I started to read this well written and self-contained story.
This series starter is a fast paced read with a little bit of Sci-Fi, a little bit of PNR, and a whole lot of sassy females and and alpha males. The story drew me in from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed the characters and the story, and I can’t wait to see who gets their HEA next.
A little silly and instalove but not. Short but lots of bad guys, mystery and adventure. Enough background you aren't lost but not quite immersive enough..
Steamy paranormal sci-fi romance, action and humour, a prophecy and a mystery to solve with a terrific HEA... I absolutely loved it.
Mandy Roth is one of my all-time favourite authors and I've been reading her wonderful books for well over a decade. Over the years I've bought pretty much everything she's ever written under assorted pen names and I've never been disappointed. Always humorous and action packed with strong, hunkalicious heroes and the terrific, feisty, kick-ass heroines they love, tons of sizzle and a happily ever after, this one also has paranormal and sci-fi romance combined in the mix and is a fantastic read.
'Sevan', the newly released first book in the Interstellar Alphas series has been expanded, re-written, re-edited and has a shiny new cover since I first bought and read it a few years ago when it was book one of the Project Exorcism series, 'Paranormal Payload' and it had me wondering and second guessing like a sleuth from the very beginning. I couldn't put it down and read it in one mega two day sitting... then I fell asleep and woke up twelve hours later. As well as loving a good paranormal romance, I also love sci-fi, magic, action and a good mystery. This has all of them, in spades. It was obviously another Mandy Roth series I was destined to become addicted to, and I did, very happily. And now... it's even better, if that's possible, and I devoured it again although I'm older now and fell asleep clutching my kindle because I didn't want to put it down and miss anything. Yes... it's one of those!
The year is 2206, a hundred and fifty years after the end of the war on Earth between humans and supernaturals. In order to save lives, the supernaturals decided to give up and as part of the treaty with The Commission, Earth's ruling body, they would leave Earth in five ships. Having been caught in a meteor storm soon after take-off, it was believed that four of the ships had perished as only one reached it's pre-determined destination. How wrong can you be? At least one other ship survived and crash landed on Sargaidia, setting the scene for this fantastic series.
Steamy from the first page, the book opens with Commission Captain Sevan Vasil and his mate Lorelei Janelle having a very erotic mate dream, although neither realise it. They both think they're dreaming of an imaginary perfect match.
Sevan is a lion shifter whose lion DNA is so watered down it doesn't show up on the Commission scans, enabling him to work for them without being discovered and either killed or sent off planet. He knows he can't shift anyway so he'll probably never be noticed. In fact, most of his crew, including a number of his relatives also fall into this category. It's good news for the inhabitants of Sargaidia when they find out because of a prophecy they hope will come true, but bad news for the vampire sorcerer, Stegian, whose ship crash landed there and he's spent the last hundred and fifty years trying to control or rid himself of the inhabitants, especially the Janelle family.
When Sevan's ship is badly damaged by space debris that shouldn't be where it is, his mayday call to the nearest planet is answered by a rather hostile woman whose voice is so familiar to him. When a video link is finally established, the woman looks exactly like his dream lover and leaves him speechless and doing a very good impression of a fish. When Lorelei finally sees him in the flesh, her reaction is much the same. They both think their minds are playing tricks on them and they get off to a very rocky start...
This is a great story, packed with everything you would expect from Mandy Roth. It has terrific characters, and a great story line which left me wanting to read the next book straight away. Although there are no cliff-hangers here, the scene is set for the next book and I can't wait. It can easily be read as a stand alone, but the underlying storyline continues. It has humour, action, steamy romance, a prophecy, a mystery to solve, the HEA and so much more. Mandy packs so much information into her books I never feel like I've missed anything but this one has the feel of a jigsaw puzzle and you have to keep reading to the end to get all the pieces to fit. Brilliant. I'm hooked and would highly recommend this book. This is definitely on the list of books I'd save if the house was burning down and is easily worth the 5 well earned stars I gave it and then some.
Another great book by Mandy. This one was interesting to me on many levels. The title had me slightly skeptical until I started reading then that changed. First I was confused but then the pieces started to fit in lovely. Then I had the hardest time trying to control my laughter at all the banter between these characters. The love story was so sweet with a slightly rougher side to it. I like seeing the start of other characters relationships starting to form. I can't wait to see what the next one has in store.
LOVED THIS BOOK, WOW what a great read! You can't miss this one, a must read. This book will take you off this world and onto another. LOVIN' THIS SERIES CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE!!!!!!!!!
I always love when I pick up a romance that combines sci-fi and shifters. Originally published under the author’s alias Reagan Hawk, this series has gotten a bit of a fluff and a makeover. Having not read the original I can’t tell you if the makeover made it any prettier but I can tell you I certainly enjoyed the results. I’ll be looking forward to the release of the rest of the series.
The series premise begins with the expulsion of supernaturals from the planet earth on several spaceships of which only one makes it to its destination. The rest are believed to have been blown apart in a meteor shower. Years later and supernaturals are still persona non grata in the universe. The fact that supernaturals are still among us has necessitated a special division in the Commission to deal with them. By deal with them, we mean transportation to barely survivable planets if they are lucky and a permanent disappearance if they aren’t. What better way to protect his people than to join this special division and subvert its nefarious intentions from within?
Captain Sevan Vasil, his brother Jordan and their crew hunt supernaturals in the Commissioned Universe. However, their objective differs slightly from the Commission as they are on a mission to save and relocate as many supernaturals as they can. You might ask why… well Sevan, Jordan, and crew are themselves supernaturals although their shifter DNA is recessive. Recessive or not, Sevan is all that is alpha in a lion shifter and when an alpha lion shifter scents his mate whether in a dream or not… well enough said.
Lorelei Janelle is the descendant of the Shamenians and a panther shifter. Their planet of Sargaidia provides magic to the Shamenians and enhances the supernaturals that crash landed on the planet years ago. Unfortunately, not all supernaturals are peace loving beings. In fact, the very evil Stegian has made it his goal to rid their world of the Janelles starting with Lorelei. Only the benevolence of their gods and the prophesied sky warrior might see an end to the evil tainting their planet.
Sevan is a wonderful blend of alien and shifter romance. Prepare for a scorching hot, out of this world romance. The Interstellar Alphas promises to be a series worth following. ******Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions******
Mandy M.Roth has a wonderful range of imaginative stories, and this series starter is not an exception. Exceptional! It is titled:Sevan: Paranormal Shifter Fated Mate Galactic Scifi Romance (Project Exorcism #1) has a new cover and has been rewritten and made perfect. It dovetails nicely with the IOPs and Immortal OPs and Outcasts. Another favorite series. Get them if you have not already read them.
In this story, in the year 2055, supernatural beings, mena nd women who could shift into various animal were discovered. Their discovery led to widespread panic and war. Both human and supernatural populations suffered. To end the conflict, the supernaturals agreed to go off world and find new homes away from human controlled planets. Five giant ships were loaded with supernaturals and planets agreed upon by them as a future home. Only 1 ship reached it's destination. The other ships were considered lost.
Captain Seven Vasil and his twin brother Jordan command their 'human' ship. Most of their crew is also supernatural, but the levels are too low for the current technology to detect. Seven has had erotic dreams of a gorgeous woman named Lorelei for the past 6 months. Eventually they agreed to mate and his recessive genes produced elongated incisors to assist with the mating of his lion to her panther....just suspend belief and enjoy!
Just as they get to her planet, Saragaida, his new ship has a major fuel leak and life support is compromised. He asks for help on this unknown planet.
From here, things move quickly now that the world building is fairly complete. Murder, fratricide, evils that landed from one of the lost ships are threatening the local population. Surprises, Mandy's trademark humor, passionate love scenes and temptations of future books. HFN
In 2055, shifters discovered among humans. Witch hunts began to rid Earth of them. Bloody battles ensued with casualties in both sides. To stop the slaughters shifters agreed to leave Earth. 5 ships were filled to capacity n left to other planets not controlled by the government. Only 1 ship supposedly made it to its designation. Shifters called this Project Exorcism as humans saw them as demons. That was 150 years ago. It's now 2206, there are still some shifters on Earth but their DNA is virtually undetectable to the government. The Commission(government) oversees all the planets within its quadrants. Sevan Vasil n his twin brother Jordan r lion shifters who joined the Commission to hunt n protect other shifters n used an underground network to relocate them to suitable planets not owned by the government. This began the birth of the Interstellar Alphas. Several ships r captained by mainly shifters unbeknownst to the Commission. However one ship crash landed on a planet named Sargaidia, survivor's gained new abilities some magical n the ability to breed with the planets inhabitants not just "mates". Lorlei Janelle, one of the planets natives, is constantly on guard from threats they call the survivors ," others". That ship contained vampires. The planet enhanced their powers. There's no need for daily feedings, hence strength or powers do not ebb. One vamp named Stegian is also a sorcerer who can manipulate the minds of men to kill or main the women. Sevan starts to have erotic dreams of a raven haired beauty called Lorlei n she starts having erotic dreams about him. For someway she's his idea of a perfect mate to settle down with n start a family. But she can't be real or can she??? I saw this on Amazon countdown deals n had already read other books by Mandy n decided to check it out. It was definitely worth reading.
I loved this book. It starts out with a steamy scene between our two main characters, Lorelei and Sevan. Sevan is from Earth and is a Commission Officer. Earth thought they got rid of their paranormal inhabitants many years ago. Sevan has a small amount of werelion DNA and keeps under the radar, afraid to get married and have kids, just in case his kids are born shifters.
Lorelei Janelle's home world is one of the Planets that received the Project Exorcism ships. It was not scheduled to be there but that is where it crash landed over 150 years ago. Lorelei is a panther shifter and has been dreaming of Sevan for 6 months.
When they meet they are both shocked to see that the other is not a figment of their imaginations. I loved the back and forth between the characters. At times it can be a bit confusing in the beginning about what is going on and why it is happening. We are in the same boat as the Sevan, we do not know the entire back story of the planet at the beginning. However, you do find it out and everything makes sense by the end of the book. The interactions with the secondary characters, Jordan, Nina, Jacquelyn and Christian are funny scenes.
I just finished the revised work of this book that was titled "Sevan: Paranormal Shifter Fated Mate Galactic SciFi Military Romance (Interstellar Alphas Book 1). What I read is basically the same story but a more expanded one. I has at some time downloaded Paranormal Payload" but never got around to reading it as I had too many ahead of it to read. I'm glad that I finally got to as it is a story of mutual dreams shared by the two chief characters. These two don't meet until after six months of dreaming when Capt. Sevan desperately request permission to land on an unknown planet for emergency ship repairs. Little does he know that the woman he's been having dream relations with is the one who grants unwillingly permission. Their mutual recognition is fraught with dangers not only to themselves but the whole population of Planet Sargaidia who are under constant threat from "the others". Beings like them but not. Shifters created but not willing to share the planet. This is a very intense read.
Sevan is an Alpha lion shifter, captain of the spaceship, and one of the supernatural in hiding from the Commission. The Commision rounded up and (except those in hiding) sent all the shifters in spaceships 150 years ago.
Sevan dreams of being with his mate for six months and claims her. He's still on the spaceship when it is damage. Lorelei lives on a planet that has a vampire that uses mind control on it's inhabitants. She doesn't believe that's Savan is real until he lands on her planet for repairs. Will he convinced her that he is real and her mate?
The characters are believable, strong, and sexy. The plot is interesting and unique. It makes the reader want to continue with the series.
I have bought the second book in the series because I am fascinated with the concept of a Commission getting rid of Supernatural and thereby having a planet full of humans. Ridiculous that they believe that! Highly recommended.
Earth banished Supernaturals eons ago but those who hid out on earth were executed when they were discovered. Those who escaped into space were thought to have been lost, or if they were lucky, landed safely on unknown planets undetected.
Captain Sevan Vasil works for the Commission those who rid the earth of Supernatural's but...they didn't realise he was one too. His test was negligible and he slipped through the net. Sevan for the past 6 months has had dreams of a woman that was perfect for him. His only problem was he was a werelion and could not trace her in case his supernatural abilities were found out.
Lorelei was dreaming of a mate she knew she could never have. Their worlds collide due to a mission to repair a broken ship and a fight for their lives due to some unseen evil force.
This book has everything you could want: Vampire Sorcerers, hunky shifters, badass heroines, life and death situations. Everything that signifies a Mandy Roth book. Fabulous series and I'm looking forward to the other books in the series!
You have a ship calling to a planet to ask permission to land and fix their ship. But the woman answering has very good reasons for refusing and does till seeing their damage is to great for them to get back to a planet that could help them. Of course realizing that the voice and face is of a man she dreamed up and about for the last six months not knowing he was real made her change her mind and let them land to fix it if they could be gone by sundown. All will be shocked by what they find as the past 150 years of both their people's lives are brought forth. Bonds will be made, attend discovered, and lives will be changed for all/or most. Can these two blend their people? Can their histories provide the answers to help them survive what this planet fears? A very good story.
Sevan: Paranormal Shifter Fated Mate. Interstellar Aphas, Book 1 Author: Mandy M Roth Narrator: Darcy Stark
This is the first SciFi- Interstellar genre I have ever read. It was a nice introduction to the genre.
Sevan and Lorelei
She is literally the woman of his dreams.
It’s a fairly quick read, which works. There is plenty of action and romance, of course, in the book. I was not in love with the narrator. She wasn’t bad, and I could finish the book. There are many times, when the narrator ruins the book for me and I can’t finish it. This was not one of those times. She just wasn’t my favorite. I listen to a ton of audiobooks and have my favorite narrators, which may sway my judgment.
*WARNING* contains explicit adult sexual situations Sevan has some lion DNA, but not enough to shift. If the Commission new he and his twin had lion DNA, they would be executed. Sevan is longing for a family, but knows that having his DNA, a family isn't possible. Sevan will have to be okay with having a wife only in his dreams, literally. I would have liked a few more details, like hearing the whole prophecy, and more about Jacqueline. Mostly, I liked this one. A planet that brings out magical abilities is interesting. I like that twins have totally different names. The markings for the females, what they mean, what they tell others, what they do, all quite original. Great start for a series.
I was given a copy of Sevan for my honest review. Until Sevan, I have never liked books about living on other plants. This one completely changed my mind, it was awesome!! I'm not sure if it was my dislike for these types of books or the book itself, but I felt it got off to a slow start for the first couple of chapters. Once I passed that point, I could not put it down until I finished it. I will be reading the rest in this series, I really enjoyed it. Ms. Roth brings her characters to life and firmly plants them in your mind.
I was pleasantly surprised! Initially the premise had me a bit puzzled. Lion shifter? Space travel? Alien species? How is this book going to ever come together?!? It was great! Plot was a deep in details which leads me to believe #2 is going to be soon to come! Sevan and Loreli have been dreaming of each other - - and of course the 2 of them don't thing the other exists...till fate fixes that! (And of course that's not the end....that would be boring!) Throw is some action, strong willed female, stubborn male and some sexy attraction and you can't put this book down.
This was a good book. It definitely has you turning pages. Emotions, some action and suspense, steaminess, great characters, written well and a good ending. Great for the escape or settle-in-with-a-book kinda read. I liked the plot and how the story goes. It seemed a little confusing like you get thrown in at the deep end, but you really understand some of the characters better that way. It has me wanting to read more of the series though. This may be one I reread. Enjoy!
Yeah I wasn't really feeling this book. It started with dream sex in great detail, then she in one spacecraft and he in another, which inevitably meet, then they talk sex, they're meant to be mated in their dreams but she's promised to another...blah blah blah... They've both got shifter powers and there's an evil vamp trying to kill her somewhere!? Got to 60% but couldn't read anymore. Found it free.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I freely leave this honest review. I loved it start to finish. They mystery of Jacqueline had me guessing the answer. I didn't figure it out either. Love when that happens. This is a compelling story of finding love and redemption after feeling all was lost. What a treat to read.
