My Boss Is a Grumpy Werewolf and I Think He Wants to Eat Me! On Cole Morgan's first day working at Prowl magazine he sends an innocent email to his friend, not realizing that all internal emails are monitored. It wouldn't be a big deal except for the fact that the email is all about his new boss, sexy werewolf Evan West. The email leads to an incredibly awkward workplace harassment seminar which just makes Evan hate him all the more. It couldn't possibly get worse, right? Wrong. Yum yum!
I loved this book. Like, luuuurrrrved it! I loved both Cole and Evan, especially how mature they were and no simpering maiden kinds. The storyline is really cute. I enjoyed the way Cole was being a sassy, bratty human, while Evan was all controlling, serious werewolf. The title is really hilarious, and the writing is definitely in sync with it. It was a very light-hearted read for me. But the suspense bits still had my heart beating fast and me sitting alert and leaning forward to try to read even quicker just so I could finally end my curiosity! ;-)
There wasn't much angst, and thankfully, there wasn't any careless hurt when one MC denies having real feelings for the other, either. I was so not in the mood for that when I started this. Evan was sensible, and so was his wolf. There was no demeaning of the humans, too. Yes, there wasn't much focus on the war and stuff, but that's fine with me. I mean, who would want to read about that when we have two witty, adorable heroes with us to read about? I definitely wouldn't, and I definitely didn't! :P I was rather ecstatic that there weren't any extraneous details that I would have to read and understand while my heart was crying over its partition from the heroes.
I laughed, I got scared, I melted into a puddle, and I enjoyed. So you must be wondering why I gave it 4 stars and not 5? Well, yea, you guessed right (and if you didn't, better luck next time, dear. I always end up with the same point. So better skip the start and read the end of my review. ;) And you will only read this tip if (surprise!) you ACTUALLY get to the end of my this review *evil laughter ensues Bwaaaahaaaahaaa*), the grammatical errors. Now I have lots to say here. See, the punctuation kicked ass. I mean, I was so hyped up when I saw all those commas, especially around the phrase tag 'like', that I completely forgot about the missing prepositions or helping verbs. But it still persisted and nagged at me, so here. I am giving you your own point, you minx! Happy now? Now bugger off.

So... Amazing story, amazing characters, adorable romance, low angst, laughter aplenty, and.... Yo! What more do you want? Frikkin go and add it to your to-read shelf already! *rolling my eyes here, folks, REALLY HARD!*

The title caught my eye, and not having read anything by this author before, I figured I'd give it a shot. I read it in one sitting and quite enjoyed it.
It's a pretty typical take on werewolves, though the destined mate thing is not as prevalent. The quirky title promised a funny read. It was naturally funny, not at all forced, and I liked that. I found myself snickering several times.
My only disappointment is that Evan only transforms into a wolf once, near the end, during a fight, and it's over in a couple of pages. Maybe it's just me, but I typically like my werewolf stories to actually have wolves in them.
I considered taking a star off for editing, but decided not to. It's not really the author's fault. This is a cute & sexy story filled with banter and insta lust. I had fun with the MCs, but I could have done without the silly side action plot.
The lack of world building and various editing issues were frustrating.
If I hadn't been told Evan was a werewolf, I may have missed it. There was little wolfy action and, much to my shock and disappointment, no knotting.

With a title like that, you surely didn’t expect me not to want to read this book? As hilarious as it is tongue-in-cheek, this is the story of Cole Morgan – sassy human journalist who does not get along with Human Resources – and Evan West – controlling werewolf CEO who does not like having his control challenged. This world contains all the elements required for a self-respecting werewolf story - from mate bonds to internal wolves who know best to strict laws regulating human/werewolf equal rights. But the thing I found very amusing and refreshing is that the story does not take itself too seriously. The result is a highly entertaining spoof on all things werewolf, and I am very glad I let the title tempt me (not that I resisted for more than 0.5 seconds) into reading it.
Cole is a human reporter who managed to get an entry-level position at Prowl Magazine. It’s a werewolf lifestyle publication dealing with things from the werewolf perspective, aimed at werewolves and humans interested in them. Not that Cole has ever read a single issue, he just turns up for work and figures he’ll wing it. From the moment he enters the building, nothing goes as he expected. Human Resources is less than helpful and a pain in everyone’s back. Nobody tells him what his job actually is. And when he makes it to his first meeting (much too late of course), the sexy werewolf at the head of the conference table has Cole completely confounded.
Evan is used to being in control. He runs the magazine, part of his grandfather’s business empire, with his cousin and while she has her own ideas, they generally get along. Cole is different. He will not cower, Evan is insanely attracted to him, and so he tries to stare him into submission. His behavior causes an e-mail with a subject line – yes, that is where the title of the book originates – that catches the attention of Human Resources, and a compulsory seminar follows where Cole and Evan have yet another embarrassing run-in during a hilarious role-play about sexual harassment in the workplace.
Cole running into Evan’s car in the parking garage kicks off their relationship, if you can call it that at first, and fate takes its course with these men, one more reluctant than the other to admit there is more than physical attraction between them. But fate has clearly decided they belong together and every obstacle they encounter is vanquished with determination, entertaining me until the last page.
If you appreciate self-deprecating main characters, if humor in a werewolf story sounds like a good idea, and if you’re looking for a read that is as funny as its title makes it sound, then you will probably enjoy this novella. Don’t hold back – it’s a hoot and a half!

I want more!!!
This was an adorable story and Cole is just, great, nice and cute and sweet and the perfect mate for Evan. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. I do recommend. You should know there were errors here and this really needed another look by an editor, or anyone. But that didn't detract from the cuteness of this story.
Yep, instaloveish situation but with shifters that's to be expected. I totally loved the beginning of the story and wish the snark and "my boss wants to eat me" tag had played out for longer. I really wanted a growly, tough and rude wolf for longer. 😉 But this version was nice too.
And the sex!! Whoa, they got it on a lot and had a very adventurous sex life, which should only get better as time goes on. 😇😈🙏

"My Boss Is a Grumpy Werewolf and I Think He Wants to Eat Me!" is not only the title of this book, but also the message Cole just happens to send to a friend from a monitored work email system on his first ay at work.
With a title like that, you would expect a humoros story and it delivers - at first. Not only does it land Cole, his grumpy boss and the entire staff at Prowl Magazine in the most cringe-worthy - but hilarious anti-harassment seminar ever, it also leads to quite a few fun scenes between Cole and his werewolf boss, Evan...
... Before it slides into the more standardized "must protect & claim my mate" scenario, gay style and, sadly, loses some of the tongue-in-cheek humor that is present in the first half of the book.
3.5 stars.

4.5 stars rounded up to 5 stars...I really enjoyed this first book in the series. I loved Cole, he cracked me up. He was the perfect person For Evan. They really fit... This is my first book by this author. I love that it's based in my hometown of Seattle ;-)

This was a quick fun read. Evan didn’t stay grumpy very long as he quickly turned his scowl into a lusty smirk. The banter was fun, but the side plot at the end was merely distracting as were the many grammatical errors. I still enjoyed it.

I actually liked this.
There are some funny parts attached, and I enjoyed the moments of joking Cole . Evan shows his real personality after his wolf instincts nudging him. All in all, I found Evan's interactions with family pretty good with the exception of mom. Her attitude towards his 'human' wasn't what I would have expected and as of yet not expanded on.
That means I'm hoping there will be MORE in this world.. even better, to feel like Cole and Evan are actually complete, seeing as the story ends without them being completely settled.

Tall, dark and gorgeous, Evan, an Alpha werewolf
realizes on their first meeting that Cole must be his.
There are several items happening, like Cole's assignment, Naomi's problem, and an unknown "sibling" shows up. But, mainly we get to watch as Evan and Cole get closer, learn a bit about each other, and they have super hot and heavy sexy times with some light bdsm, too.
These two guys are so perfect together, in bed and out of bed. There is some talks and fixes, and then trouble pops up, which strong Evan handles with family help. He must protect Cole.
I think it could stand alone with an HFN, but it is the first in a series about these two guys and their continuing relationship. I'll be reading more.

This was surprisingly cute and fun to read! I liked the characters and their chemistry, and there were some funny moments too. I love how they kept talking about whose fault the bike accident was. I enjoyed this and it was a nice no angst werewolf romance.

A light, insta-lust/fated mate sort of paranormal romance. It felt a bit short. I wish the characters were more developed and the plot more fleshed out. Cole Morgan started his new job at Prowl Magazine an encountered his grumpy boss Evan West, who couldn't take his eyes off the new employee. Morgan sent a casual email to his friend about Evan which led to a whirlwind romance between these two involving ties, tree house, swimming pool and being held hostage by werewolves. If you are looking for fun read with no angst, do try this.

3.5 Stars ~ I'll admit it was the title that caught my eye and I thought this would be a very cute, and fun novella. 'My Boss Is A Grumpy Werewolf and I Think He Wants to Eat Me!' Was cute and fun, plus sexy and interesting.
I liked Cole for his lack of sophistication, his tendency to ramble when he's nervous, and his all-around adorableness. Evan is just hot, from his grumbly, growly self, to his sexiness about all-things Cole.
This was an enjoyable read that I can easily recommend if you like easy and fun.

I really enjoyed this book. Cole was amazing in his ability to attract trouble. Everywhere he went something bad happened. Some of it was amusing and some of it not . Evan West felt an attraction and fought it every step of the way, especially when it affected his wolf. It made him surly and short with Cole. When everyone had to attend a sexual harassment workshop due to Cole's innocent actions, Evan was even more annoyed but he could not deny Cole and them fireworks started.
These two were great heroes. I recommend this to all of us who love MM romance with a nice touch of humor.

So with the title and my past experience with siren books I expected this to be a silly read that probably didn’t exceed “just okay” but was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I found it to be well written and I really liked both MCs. The ending was a tad abrupt, especially since the drama started at 95%, but I’m excited to get more books about these two.

Allerdings läuft schon am ersten Tag einiges schief und Cole hat den Verdacht, dass ihn sein Boss so gar nicht leiden kann. Schon beim ersten Meeting zieht Cole ungewollt die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich. Evan West, der gemeinsam mit seiner Cousine ein Werwolf-Magazin herausgibt, ist irritiert. Sehr sogar. Dieser Mensch geht ihm weder aus dem Sinn, noch aus der Nase. Ständig hat er Coles Geruch in der Nase und es macht ihn fast verrückt. Dabei bemüht sich Evan seit Jahren die Kontrolle über seine Instinkte zu behalten.
Cole versucht dem Chef so gut wie möglich aus dem Weg zu gehen, doch das ist leichter gesagt als getan. Und dann werden beide Männer auch noch in einen kleinen Unfall verwickelt. Coles Fahrrad ist hinüber und Evan bietet seinem Angestellten eine Mitfahrgelegenheit an. Dabei bleibt es am Ende nicht und Evan verliert die mühsam aufrechtgehaltene Selbstkontrolle. Doch Cole überrascht Evan .....
Der Buchtitel ist unfassbar sperrig, aber er trifft den Nagel auf den Kopf. Die Geschichte um den Werwolf Evan und den Menschen Cole ist sehr, sehr, sehr lustig geschrieben. Aber es ist niemals banal, merkwürdig oder absurd. Im Grunde dreht sich auch fast alles nur um Cole und Evan. Wie sie sich kennenlernen, näherkommen und schliesslich Evans Wolf von der Leine lassen. Man ahnt - es gibt viel Sex. Aber das ist nicht tragisch, denn die Geschichte wird wirklich amüsant und kurzweilig erzählt. Es gibt auch noch zwei Nebenstränge, die für beide Männer durchaus von Bedeutung sind.

Es gibt auch noch zwei Nebenstränge, die für beide Männer durchaus von Bedeutung sind.
Einerseits gibt es da Naomi, die mit Evans Cousin zusammen ist und deren Beziehung irgendwie eben auf dem Prüfstand steht. Und dann taucht plötzlich ein Mädchen auf, das behauptet Evans Halbschwester zu sein. Zweiter Erzählstrang beinhaltet einen kleinen Krimiplot, der zum Glück mäßig aufdringlich ist und auch die Geschichte nur gegen Ende hin beeinflusst. Die Story ist wirklich leicht zu lesen, höchst amüsant und wird gerne weiterempfohlen.

I got this as a joke, I mean, look at that title!
Joke was on me, this book was actually pretty funny and kind of adorable, with a side of drama.
Cole takes a job with the reference of a friend at a local Magazine. A magazine for werewolves. on his first day he's brought into a meeting, late, and interrupts the boss talking. The look the boss is giving him is one that Cole feels isn't very pleasant. Little does he know the war going on behind that scowl.
Evan West, Chief-in-Editor at Prowl magazine gets his first load of Cole while doing a presentation. The overwhelming urge to dominate him right there is so strong he has to stop what he's doing to calm himself down.
From here there's just funny situations that lead up to these two spending time together. I found myself laughing out loud quote a few times at Cole's quirkiness. Although this story was short, it still had a lot going on. Not only was it sweet and funny, but it was hot and edgy.
The only thing I'm still wondering about is Evan's moms reluctance towards Cole being human. It didn't quite explain that part. I wish we would have gotten a little bit more on that in the story. But none the less, this was quote an enjoyable read, even with a few small editing errors.

oh I have to say the first thing that caught me, like many others, was the tittle, then Cole, because seriously he is just funny, unsophisticated and like a human trouble magnet, who gets in the most weard situations (compliment the eyebrows......lol), yumm , I mean seriously always find out if emails are monitored before sending personal messages to your friends from work....
the thing that I would have liked, is more in-depth info about the werewolves, where they come from and the mating bond (if any) I was very confused because, I wasn't sure (and am still not sure) of its a soul mating or if its that they can fall in love with anyone and then call them mate? well something to think about. and also the end was a bit anty climatic, tho I have to say I wasn't expecting Angel to be a demon (werewolf demon?) in disguise..... long lost sister.... not so much

Cole is a human who gets a job at an all werewolf magazine (his friend – a werewolf- got him the job) and he makes a faux pas the first day and insults his boss. They end up thrown together on an assignment and the “hate” between them changes quickly to lust.
Evan is a werewolf through and through and though he’s not exactly bigoted against humans – per se – he’d never think one was strong enough to be his mate.
Though it isn’t a “fated mates” type of thing, the chemistry between these two is instant and incendiary.
When they finally act on their mutual attraction there’s a bit of drama about Evan and a human and also some angst between the two about their feelings.
All in all this was a very well-written, sexy shifter book full of humor, some great feels and lots of hot shifter sex!

Eigentlich hätte das Buch fünf Sterne verdient und ich sollte es einfach auf englisch lesen, DANN würde ich nämlich alle Sterne geben können. Was zur Hölle ist so schwer daran den Boyfriend mit Freund zu übersetzen?? Es ist absolut klar, in welcher Beziehung das Wort gemeint ist und im deutschen gibt es nun einmal keine andere Übersetzung. Dieses hässliche, ständige Boyfriend störte mich im lesefluss gewaltig weil ich es schlicht und ergreifend grausig finde. Schade. Wenn die Cover der englischen Reihe genauso ansprechend gestaltet wären wie die deutsche Übersetzung (betrifft das komplette Verlagsprogramm), dann gäbe es keine Frage, welche Version auf meinem Reader landen würde.

Cute story, but neither it nor the characters have a ton of depth, so it's very fluffy. It tries to add drama, but it's not super angsty in my opinion.
I was intrigued by the werewolf aspect, but I would have liked it to take more focus than it does.

There's as few grammar issues.
It was a cute sweet story with a touch of danger. I really liked the title and the characters. The banter between Evan and Cole was funny at times.

3.5 stars. Anti-climactic considering the craziness happened around 80%, which made the ending feel rushed, but overall a cute, decent read.
