What a great book and what a great series. I have this entire series on my to-buy this, but I love this book in particular because of a picture book that can accompany it -Margaret and the Moon by Dean Robbins. I think this one will really grabs students attention as they are intrigued by space travel. Since starting the yearly Hour of Code, we also have a lot of students interesting in coding, so it’s a great combo. I like it because it shows women in science –especially from a time where that was not the norm. Well written, and just enough for a student to do a biography (though some fun and interesting facts would have added more to young readers). Its just stuffed with relevant photographs which is great for young readers as well.
This book had a lot of good detail, I was reading it for my NHD (national history day) school project. I have read a lot about Margaret Hamilton on websites as well, and I believe that the information in this book is accurate.
