I really enjoyed this romance. I just discovered Linda Broday a few months ago when I read Knight on the Texas Plains and knew I wanted read more of her writing so I jumped on the chance to read this book. This is the third book in the Men of Legend series and I was a bit concerned going in since I have not read the earlier books. I really enjoyed this romance. I had nothing to worry about and can assure readers that this book works well as a stand alone. I am so glad that I decided to read this wonderful little story.

This book opens with a bang. Luke finds a woman tied up and her captors flee. He has very important business to take care of but he just can't leave her. She is covered in blood and has no memory of who she is and what has happened. Luke is a wanted man and it seems that the woman he rescued may be in the same situation.

Luke and Josie were wonderful characters. Luke may be a wanted man but he was always thinking about how his actions affected others in his life. He really was a very caring man. Josie doesn't remember anything about her life but it was obvious what kind of person she was right away. She was very strong and I was eager to find out more about her. I thought that Luke and Josie were wonderful together. They seemed to really compliment each other and were always able to be open with each other. The chemistry between them was intense from the very beginning of the book and only got stronger as I continued to read.

There was a lot going on in this book. I had a great time learning more about how Luke became an outlaw and how Josie ended up in the situation she was in at the start of the book. Add in a little drama with a child they run into who happens to know Josie and some problems at the ranch and you have a really exciting story. There was never a boring moment in this book.

I would recommend this book to fans of western historical romances. I had so much fun reading this one and am really excited to go back and read the earlier books in the series. Linda Broday has created a wonderful family of characters in this delightful series.

There is one guarantee, with a Linda Broday book, you're going to experience a true heartwarming-Broday story with so much action that it's impossible to put down. With her books you are always in for the ride of your life.

For some reason I both liked it, and had a hard time focusing at what I read. SO to be honest, did I think it was good or ok? I have no idea. But I fear I will have to go with just ok then. Might have been the book, might have been me.

Luke is wanted and is trying to find the man framing him.
Josie has no memory of who she is but she is wanted for murder....

I am unsure about some details, gosh, I really did not keep my focus on the book, or maybe it was not explained....

To Marry A Texas Outlaw is a beautiful well written story from a new favorite author of mine. Historical westerns are a bit of a forgotten art, and I love that Linda Broday has brightened up this sub genre in romance and the way she writes these cowboys and ranchers and bad boys of sorts are sexy as all get out. Now I will say that I do wish I had started with book one and I have no idea why I didn't. *banging head against the wall*.

Every time I read a Linda Broday book I think it's the best she has ever written but then I read another book by her such is the case with to Marry a Texas a Outlaw and I say once again this is the best book she has ever written. To Marry a Texas Outlaw is the third of the Men of Legend series. It builds on what came before with Sam and Houston's stories, but I think it would work alright as a standalone if necessary.

To Marry a Texas Outlaw is the third of the Men of Legend series. It builds on what came before with Sam and Houston's stories, but I think it would work alright as a standalone if necessary.

Luke is the illegitimate outlaw Legend brother who has dedicated his life to tracking down the real murderer of the judge so he can get his life back. He dreams of that life being with his family on the Legend ranch and accepted as one of them, but fear, guilt, and a lack of worth eat at him.

Bursting onto the scene in glorious technicolor in Luke's life is a woman who may be in just as trouble as Luke. The lady has lost her memories, but it looks like she might have killed a man and is on the run while needing to get answers. Toss in an abused boy and a starving dog and Luke's life just got a whole lot more interesting.

Luke tends to be rather an Eeyore through this book and I had the urge to kick him in the seat of the pants to get over it many times- and Josie, the woman who fiercely wants him if he would just take what she's offering, practically does. Good for Josie!
But to be fair, Luke has to come to terms with his past and his past choices. Its tougher to accept the good and believe you can have it and deserve it when you've had a life like he did.

The romance was a firecracker style with a gun-toting, cussing, hot tempered Josie paired with an introspective, slow-burn, capable Luke. She riles him up and he tempers her impulsiveness. But the sizzle was there and loved seeing them together whether scrapping, loving, or fighting side by side.

The action was good and I loved the mystery element as Luke was pursuing a killer who framed him and they were trying to figure out the mystery of Josie's past, hope she's innocent, and help her get her memories back all while the law and some other evil outlaws are on their trail.
I loved that their trail eventually led back to Luke's family. I get a bit swoony when the Legend men are all together and fighting for a cause.

I'm not sure if this was the last of the series. It felt like it to me. But yes, it was the perfect story to cap it off. Luke's was the story I wanted most and it totally lived up to expectation.

In summary, this was a strong, fiery, and exciting historical western by a writer who makes Texas history come alive with romance and adventure. I can definitely recommend the series to western romance lovers.

The atmosphere is somber. Both Luke and Josie are under a death sentence whether guilty or not. Luke finds Josie near death. He needs to ride on but conscience won’t let him leave her. Luke is a Legend and he will live up to the name even though he continues to reject it for himself.

Be prepared to have every emotion you have ever felt in your life be stirred up. I laughed, cried, worried, loved, and cried some more reading this book.

He was committed to solving his own problems by himself because he was a man with pride. One problem that he never expected to find in such a pretty little package was Josie Morgan. When Luke came across Josie she was unconscious and tied up. What was an outlaw to do?

Well Luke was an outlaw with honor and he soon realized that things were worse for the unconscious Josie than they first appeared. Not only did he have to scare off the men who had tied her up in the first place but when she did waken she had no idea who she even was. Josie had developed amnesia from being knocked out and Luke was not happy about the circumstances. Luke had been on his way to a town where supposedly the fella that had framed him was going to be arriving at. He wanted to find the man who committed the murder he was framed for and bring him to justice but he couldn’t just leave Josie behind. Even though Luke was torn, he decided that he would get Josie to a doctor as soon as possible and hopefully still have time find the scoundrel he was looking for and clear his name.

When Josie woke up with no recollection of who she was or even how she came to be tied up and she was terrified. For all she knew she could have been a whore or a murderer herself. What she knew for a fact was that Luke was there and he saved her life and she was grateful. As she struggled to figure out who she was Luke was right there trying to help her. Josie knew that he was an honorable man even though he tried to keep her at arm’s length. What kind of man would give up his goals to help a stranded woman and even stay on trying to help her solve the mystery of her identity. It was because of this that Josie was smitten with Luke and she hoped that she was not already a married woman because she really wanted more with Luke.

As Josie started to remember fragments from her life before, it became clear to Luke that there was more to this spitfire of a woman than he ever imagined. She swore like a man, had amazing gun shooting skills, and could use her feminine wiles to manipulate situations. Before he let her go he was going to make sure that he knew all the facts. She was an enigma that he wanted to solve and even though he did not want to let her go he had to because he was an outlaw and that was no life for a woman. As Luke and Josie come closer to the truth of who Josie really is, it becomes clear that the truth is dangerous, especially to Luke.

The biggest issue I had with this story was the romance factor. I can absolutely get behind insta-love, insta-lust, insta-anything really as long as it is reasonably portrayed. Josie was already thinking nuptials by chapter three. That was way too soon for me honestly. Luke was smitten as well but he was more into trying to keep her at arm’s length for her own safety. I liked the couple together, I think they fit well, I just felt that it was too much too soon in the romance department. To me, their love was not really based on anything solid. I did enjoy how Josie’s character tried to convince Luke in several ways that she was worth holding on to, that was sweet and hilarious.

Overall though, I had fun reading To Marry a Texas Outlaw. Luke was a tormented man and I thoroughly enjoyed his sense of vigilante justice and how he struggled to do the right thing and prove himself innocent. Josie was a firecracker and although her character was a little “too much” at times, I found her to be interesting and a good match for Luke. If you are looking for a historical fiction read that has the wild west feel with a bit of insta-love then I would recommend To Marry a Texas Outlaw to you.

Whew! What a story! Good thing Linda Broday didn't struggle to find words for her story the same way I'm attempting to find words to express just how much I love not only this book, but this entire series as a whole. To Marry a Texas Outlaw is a thrilling conclusion to a delightful and much-loved story of the Legend family that delivered so many emotions.

This book has taken me a while to read. But it has not disappeared me at all. Linda Broday has captured my attention again. Luke Weston has got to be my all time favorite character in this series.
Luke has had his ups and downs in his life but he has always stuck by his morals. He was always into something whether it was right or wrong. In the long run he came out on top.

When the gorgeous cover of To Marry a Texas Outlaw by Linda Broday popped up in my email for review sign-ups, I was immediately enamored. And like Katniss Everdeen, I raised my hand shouted, “I volunteer!” After all, who can resist a ruggedly handsome Texas outlaw framed by the fiery sky of a setting sun? Me, that’s who!
The copy I received for review is an ARC, so I’m not sure how the fini I’ve often heard it said that you can’t judge a book by its cover. Sometimes, that’s true … sometimes, not. When the gorgeous cover of To Marry a Texas Outlaw by Linda Broday popped up in my email for review sign-ups, I was immediately enamored. And like Katniss Everdeen, I raised my hand shouted, “I volunteer!” After all, who can resist a ruggedly handsome Texas outlaw framed by the fiery sky of a setting sun? Me, that’s who!
The copy I received for review is an ARC, so I’m not sure how the finished product will look and feel. But I can attest, after stroking this bad boy, it feels good balanced in your hands. That sounds a bit naughty, doesn’t it? Well, I can confirm there are one or two naughty love scenes between the gorgeous covers of this romantic western. And that’s all I’ll say about that, thank you very much!

Oh, yes. I wanted to tell you what endeared me to this book right off the bat. I don’t know about you, but I love reading the Dedication and Acknowledgements pages of every book I read. Broday writes a lovely dedication for this book. “I dedicate this book to all the forgotten and abused children in the world who have no voice, no one to stand up for them, and no voice…” I simply adored that. As a mama, Broday’s dedication warmed my heart.
The fact is, I really enjoyed Broday’s voice and writing style. I found her writing to be engaging, her world building enthralling, and the storyline of this book quite entertaining. It seems to me that the yucky fall and winter months are the perfect time to pick up a copy of this book and give it a good read. After all, there’s nothing like Spring time in Texas.
And that’s the very season in which we meet the MC, Luke Weston, the gorgeous Texas outlaw bad boy who happens across a damsel in distress while on his way to deliver vengeance to the person who’s caused him a whole peck of trouble. Talk about getting sidetracked!
Ah, well, I’ll leave the rest of the story for you to discover yourself. Y’all know how much I hate to give spoilers. Besides, this here romantic western deserves to be caressed lovingly with your peepers, yo!

I have loved all of the Legend men, but Luke stole my heart from the very first book in the series and I couldn't wait to get his whole story. The Legend brothers Sam, Houston, and Luke, will each take your heart away. This family has endured it all. The story focuses on Luke. The ride is a rough one, but worth every minute. This was certainly entertaining. I enjoyed the story and action. I also really loved the side characters like the beer-drinking horse! What a hoot! This book takes off with Luke trying to find the man who framed him for murder only to find a team of horses, a lady tied to a tree and the men who tied her. Ms. Broday covers a lot of issues here the most important is family. Luke won’t let his family help him or take the blame he is proud and stands up for what he has done. He doesn’t understand what love means and why people would try to protect him. He is about to learn a very important lesson in this area. Josie doesn’t know who she is after being hit in the head she has lost her memory. Once being saved by Luke and understanding he won’t hurt her she has nowhere to go and no home to go to. This is a woman who isn’t lady like at all but stands her ground willing to fight and her mouthy ways would make a saloon girl blush. She is full of fire, has a tempter like no one you have ever seen. She throws sparks from her eyes that would bring most men to their knees. On meeting Luke is throw for a loop good lord this women can curse, she sure didn’t come from a fantasy home. Her outlook on life, her tempter and the fire that is inside of her is part of her charm. She is a mystery and one he plans on working out. Their first meeting has Luke helping a wild cat. its hair, teeth and eyeballs as he tries his best to calm her down. Lord have mercy what a women, a true spit fire after his own heart.

Every time they start working on her memory or what they should do something or someone gets in their way. Luke seems to pick up strays like most girls pick flowers. He may be an outlaw wanted for his crimes but he has a heart of gold for women, children and animals. These are the things that truly bring this story to life and wraps your heart around the pages of this book taking you back in time when men knew how to be gentle and strong. They knew how to fight and keep what is theirs why giving back and working the land to make a home. Luke does have another side to him that is wild, dangerous and wicked. He can kill in a blink of an eye and isn’t afraid shoot first and ask questions later. There is only one things he is afraid of and that is to love and let someone in.

The attraction really comes off them from the start as they butt heads together time and time again. Both demand and neither willing to step back. Both are strong and proud but so kind hearted and loving. I laughed and chuckled my way through as Josie stole my heart with her wild ways and her helping hands. There are a lot of touch and goes along with a few heart stopping moments when you find yourself talking to the characters. There were times I found myself cheering and others times when my eyes got watery. There are a few shocks in store for the reader as things take place and other times when you would just like to shake Luke because he has too much pride. You find a story of what love and family truly mean and a whole nether world out there that wants in with wonderful characters who aren’t willing to bend until one little lady with a bad tempter shows them the way. The ending had my heart in my throat with tears ready to fall as the author takes you on one tailspin after another. It also makes you laugh at how Josie lays down the law to one very sick man.

I love these characters as I am sure you will. Noah is such a dear and said things that will make you laugh. Stoker is one proud pa who really loves his kids and will do what is needed to keep them safe. I really loved to visit with past characters seeing what is new. Lara and her charming daughter from the last book will always be my favorite it was so nice to see them again. This is one author that knows how to tie you in knots keeping you on the edge and making your smile through it all. She gives you death and heartbreak as the west is known for with plot that pulls you in. I couldn’t put this down and had to know what was going to happen next. I just love the men of legend each one took a piece of my heart as I closed the book and let the meaning of their story sink in. I wonder if this is the end or will there be a spinoff of the ladies in the hideout wanting a place to call home?

After enjoying my first Broday novel earlier this year, I knew I wanted to read another of hers and was thrilled when I got approved for an advanced copy of this book.

Most of the historical romance fiction I've read is set somewhere in the UK with debutantes and rakes, so I love that Broday sets hers in Texas where things are a bit more western and uncivilized. I have come to love these rough and rugged outlaws, even tho i wasn't too keen on the first book. This book, really had my puzzled. Who was after him, why did he have to clear his name, when did he realize he could be accepted by his family and happy. that is what i was thinking as i continued to read each chapter. In To Marry a Texas Outlaw, Luke Weston, our hero, is on the run, as he is trying to clear himself from a murder charge, which he did not commit. Luke is also known as a famous gunslinger, and is always looking over his shoulder at those trying to kill him. When he comes across a wagon, he sees a woman tied up and two men hurting her. He comes to her rescue.

Josie Morgan, our heroine, at first thinks Luke is one of the men who kidnapped her, but she learns quickly that he was rescuing her. When Luke tries to get information from her, she cannot remember anything, including her name; something which will be revealed in a short time. As Luke takes her to friends for protection, they both begin to feel an attraction to each other. Josie is determined to find out who she is and why was she kidnapped? She also learns about Luke, and believes in his innocence. But both of them have issues that would stop them from acting on their feelings; Josie worries she might have done something bad, and Luke wouldn’t accept her. Luke already feels his life is too dangerous for Josie or his family to be part of. Two tough and determined people, who are falling in love….will they find a way to stay together.

What follows is an exhilarating and exciting adventure that will bring Luke’s family (Stoker (father), his brothers, Sam, Houston and their wives) into a large part of the story, at the Lone Star ranch. They all try to convince Luke that he is part of the family no matter what, and they want to help him. He is stubborn, determined to leave and keep them safe. Josie & Luke will also bring to the family a young boy and his dog, who they saved from a abusive uncle, and he too will become part of the Legend household. The last half of the book has them all fighting against hired gunslingers to save the father, and in turn save Luke. Josie was a strong and tough heroine, who was able to rise above her kidnapping and memory loss and step fully into the battle to help them. She will also open Luke’s heart to a possible future of love and family. This was such a heartwarming and emotional story that has us unable to put the book down, and a fantastic ending. Very well done by Broday.

What follows is a unique and wonderful story of two people, one on the run and the other having lost her memory, who will find love for each other . I loved when they got to the family ranch, and Luke’s family was great. I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed this heart wrenching story, and the wonderful characters Linda Broday has created. If you enjoy heartwarming western romance adventures, wonderful couples and families; I strongly suggest you read Linda Broday’s books.
