When a series is still going strong when it is over 25 books in, you can’t help but admire the author’s writing ability and creativity. Sands has abundance in both and the Argeneau series displays them to the reader's delight.

Beth had a rough beginning so when the ancient “Scotty” comes to her rescue 100 years past, he felt it prudent to give her time to adjust to her new life before he claims her as his mate. 100 years later, Beth is an accomplished hunter in no need for rescuing. Just then Sco

Wow well I wasn't expecting this! This book is part of a very long running series that for this reader is hit or miss. Why? Well truthfully they never really feel that 'paranormal ' to me and actually feel much more like a contemporary romance that usually has some suspense or even angst it. I'd originally purchased the first six in paperback as I'd seen so many recommendations and then I fell out of love with these stories and wanted something with more atmosphere and bite! Yet I've continued d ...more

3.5 stars, but I'm round up to 4 because I loved, loved, loved Scotty and how over-protective he was, even though he was acting like a twit some of the time.

Alright peeps, this is my first Lynsay Sands book..

Okay, that is kind of a lie. I'm pretty sure I have tried to start her books before and not been able to get into them. So I will re-phrase.

Peeps, this is my first time finishing a Lynsay Sands book!!

I know, I know!! I'm pretty proud of myself too!! I tend to give up really early on these

Well, Lynsay Sands truly amazes me that she can write so many books in one series and every one of them is fresh and new. Immortally Yours was different from other stories in the Argeneau saga in that they both knew what being Life Mates entailed. This in no way took away from the story, it did make it more interesting since you didn’t have to go through the drama of explaining exactly what an Immortal is. But, there was drama.

Scotty is one arrogant Immortal. He knows that Beth is his life mate

In Immortally Yours we have a story that continues on with this fabulous vampire series that can still make me laugh and entertain me fully. In this story. And wow, has this series just grown and grown and it still amazes me that this author can bring a story that is lively and make me smile all the way through.

In this story, we have a story of two people that are fated to be together, but due to certain circumstances aren't together. Our

I read Immortally Yours as a standalone, as I haven't read the Argeneau series since the very beginning books, eons ago. I wasn't overly confused in the beginning by doing so. Obviously I didn't have past books to put the characters in perspective, but it started off as most UF/PNR books do, so it was easy enough to understand as a standalone. However, I may have enjoyed it more if I was caught up on the series, and h

When I made my change over to Kindle, this was one of the 3-4 series I had in paperback that I kept. Those first 8-10 books were amazing, funny, and just plain entertaining. The series has never reached that level again sadly for me.

This was another Rogue Hunter novel and the romance was more frustrating than interesting, the mystery was done well and I only figured it out shortly before we knew who it was but the main thing here is that it was a decent 4 Star novel, for awhile there I was sure
I really torn with this book. I really like Beth. She lived a crap life, one bad thing happens to her after another, yet it didn't jade her too much, she was content in her life and her place in it, had good friend and a great job. Scotty on the other hand was an ass for most of the book. I hated what we learned about him, how he kept away from Beth, even knowing what he did, how he made Beth feel with his deeds. Beth deserved a guy that was so much better.

The whole drama of what was happening t

I enjoyed Scotty and Beth's story. Scotty has known for years Beth is his life mate. He hasn't claimed her because he was waiting for her to heal. He has stepped back into her life 125 years later to protect her and possibly claim her. Beth is a Rogue Hunter. She doesn't feel she needs Scotty's protection. She can defend and protect herself from an enemy out to kill her. From the first kiss, the chemistry between them explodes, but the miscommunications keep them apart. Scotty has a few personal ...more

This was a good story but I had some mixed feelings about the hero and it cause some vacillation over the final rating. Regardless of any mixed feelings over this story, I will be continuing the series.

Another enjoyable paranormal romance in the Argeneau series. A good plot with plenty of action that moved right along. The heroine was the strong one in this relationship. A different twist on claiming life mates and still incorporating the immortal race. Scotty leads rogue hunters in UK and goes to Canada because he has a feeling that his life mate Beth is in serious trouble.

I love paranormal romance, especially vampires, so it was pretty crazy that I hadn't read Lynsay Sands yet. And yes, I am coming in on the 26th book in the famous Argeneau series, but I quickly found that it wasn't a problem at all. No need to be caught up to understand what is happening here!

( Sands Argeneau series, is simply put, a fun time. I know I say that every time I read one, but it’s true. I have been reading them in a kind of weird order, starting at the end of the series first and then continuing on from that point-and also, going back to the beginning and reading some of those as well. I find the oldest ones to be lighter in tone than the newer ones. The newer books are more exciting with plenty of action. All of them feature some humor and lots of ro ...more

Definitely better than the last few Venezuela and capture stories but the humor was mild.

I sit here and sigh as a potentially really good PNR is once more invaded by the mediocre and predictable mystery/conflict and idiotic crazy person. This was a little less predictable than some of the Argeneau books. But for the characters to not to look in that direction or predict it themselves was just pure stupidity. Well, even without knowing the whole story, I got who it was, even with the annoying per

I risk repeating myself.

Lynsay Sands has been writing the Argeneau series since I first started reading paranormal romance -- in fact, my Navy roommate let me read Sherrilyn Kenyon's Fantasy Lover, and the next day I went out and bought a ton of like books, of which Single White Vampire was one. I've kept up with the series ever since, and one of the main aspects of the books that keep me coming back is that I largely don't know what to expect. Will it be a thriller like Immortal Hunter? Exciting, comical, and passionate, Immortally Yours was another winner from Lynsay Sands in her popular Argeneau series. But what else would you expect from an old fashioned former Scottish Laird as the hero and a brave & fierce heroine with a sketchy past?

I have such fun with Lynsay Sands’ books but the Argeneau series is probably my favorite out of everything she’s done. (Although her historicals are a riot as well!) I have a soft spot for paranormals
This is one of my go-to series when the long bleak winter starts getting at me - I need something to warm me up and make me giggle. Sands always delivers just that.
I know that many may oppose to the "neverending" type of series because they may become repetitive which is only partly true - yes, it is full of heat and it always ends well and yes, the author always makes great funny situations as well as thrilling action parts but she realy tries to bring out different aspects in people and build

I’m sorry to say that this will be my first and last book by Linsay Sands. These are the silliest vamps I’ve ever read about. The heroine, Beth, is great but Scotty our hero is kinda’ stupid. Through the first 65% he couldn’t get over the fact that Beth was a prostitute 125 years ago. OMG, really? The only thing they had going for them was sex and he had her thinking that that was all he wanted from her, that he didn’t want her as a life-mate because of the prostitution thing. AND it’s not like

I started reading this series on recommendation of a co-worker. However, this is where I will stop reading this series. I am bored with members of the Argeneau family popping up from who-knows-where and finding their lifemates. I am bored with rogue hunting. Surely that's not the only occupation of these vampires? In the beginning, rogues were barely mentioned. Now every vampire is a rogue hunter. I am already reading a series where there are vampires hunting rogue vampires and searching for the ...more

How much I enjoyed it: 5/5

The book takes a step back from the new arc of the series as it takes place in the same time as the previous book. While we get the usual bevy of rogue hunters, the book introduces us to a few people from the UK Council & Rogue Hunter as well as Russia Council and how the immortals from other places differ in their rules.

The plot in itself is simple. Having read through the series, you can spot the villian easily.

Well... this story had quite the serious issues to be dealt with. Both protagonists and the "villain" had emotional baggage to last for more than just one book.
I don't think this is a problem, for I like books that aren't just comic reliefs. However, considering the type of stories this series is based on and the usual page limit, the subjects were a little too serious to be solved in such fast-paced type of plot.
I don't think I got to really connect with the main couple and the way their relat

I still enjoy this world so much. A Lynsay Sands book is always an entertaining one for me (which is a good thing, because these books are an auto-buy).
Book 26 rejuvenated the series as Beth, Scotty and the rest of this cast of characters for this particular story weathered each up and down with the kind of style that reminded me of why I started reading the books in the first place!
