This book has the same basic setup used in Slow Hands, the 1st book in the miniseries, but I didn't do so much eye rolling this time. The case of mistaken identity was more believable in this book because it wasn't dragged throughout the whole story, so there wasn't really a Big Misunderstanding and the Small Misunderstanding was easily cleared up on the H/h's 1st date. How good it is when people talk to each other! :)

Sean Murphy was a former gigolo - yes, he had been a male prostitute in the past, no sugarcoating the issue there - and current business consultant who had agreed to participate in a charity bachelor auction - as one of the bachelors to be auctioned, of course - as a favor to a friend. He wasn't too enthusiastic about the whole affair and, remembering his former "profession", he dreaded being "bought" by a woman who would expect more than a dinner date with him. He was through with that life and had no intention to take a trip down memory lane, now or ever again. So you can imagine his surprise - and pleasure - when he was "bought" by "good girl" Annie Davis.

Annie attended the charity event to "buy" a date to escort her to her parents' 35th anniversary party. There was no way she was showing up at her parents' alone, not after having told her mother all about the "wonderful" man she had been seeing for the last two months. So what if that "wonderful" man had turned out to be a lying and married man? She wasn't going to share that with her family. She was from a small town and her parents had always been against her moving to the "big and bad city" of Chicago. Knowing how easily she had been lied to by her cheating "boyfriend" would just start her family on their you-have-to-come-back-home-and-marry-a-nice-country-boy speech, and Annie wasn't in the mood for that. So she went to the charity auction and "bought" Sean thinking he was a paramedic, a more than suitable profession for a man she intended to introduce to her family as her "boyfriend". Well, due to a mix-up by the graphic designer responsible for making the brochures showcasing the bachelors being auctioned, Sean's bio had been switched with another bachelor, the real paramedic Jake Wallace - who was the hero in Slow Hands, BTW - and, needless to say, neither Sean nor Annie came to regret the confusion in the end. ;)

Sean and Annie were attracted to each other from the start, and didn't play games around it. But neither was sure their relationship had any future. He didn't do relationships in general and, once he started falling in love with Annie, couldn't help but feel less than deserving considering his "dirty" past. As for Annie, she didn't know what to expect from him because he wasn't too willing to talk about his family and himself. But when he finally opened up and told her all about it... Oh, that was one good scene! Even though it was a bit rushed, the ending was the best part of this book. Not so much the epilogue, that was unnecessary IMHO, but the small scenes between the moment Sean told Annie about his past and the moment he finally accepted he was deserving of her love. *sighs*

I really like former-bad-boy-turned-good stories, and this one was no exception. Sean was wonderful and I liked the fact that Ms. Kelly didn't choose the easy way out and turned him into a "fake" gigolo - you know, sometimes authors "redeem" the hero by revealing at the last minute that his bad reputation had been only a product of pretense and gossip. Not the case here. Sean was what he was, and it was good to see Annie accepting the whole package. All in all, this was a very satisfying read.

This was a great book. Being Irish some of the books I read with Irish characters are way "over the top" with 'stage-Oirish' Hollywood sayings like 'Begorra' and 'Begobs'. Sean Murphy is the real deal - the language he uses is the real thing - even the bad language (yes some of us Irish use it a bit too much) - think Ms Kelly must have some Irish connections. Apart from that the book is a great read - will be checking out her other books. Hopefully, there will be another "Irish" hero in one of them. I did read Slow Hands first and loved it but think this one was even better.

Another sweet story in this two-book miniseries. I know, I know, it’s the word sweet. What on Earth could be sweet about a jaded (ex) gigolo being auctioned off – for a measly five thousand bucks – at a bachelor’s auction for needy kids to a day-care center owner so she could use him as a pretend boyfriend at her parents’ wedding anniversary?

Well, everything. ;)

The story starts at the same auction as in Slow Hands by the same author, where the mix-up by two harried printers leads to the all-American paramedic, mistaken for the gigolo, getting auctioned off for 25 grand. Sean Murphy, the real hired escort for women, retired and with his own set of rules, suffers from the same printer’s mistake and is turned into the paramedic and bought by Annie Davis, the day-care center owner. Don’t you just love it when Kismet rears its pretty head?

Country-bred Annie has fled her overprotective family and started a business in the big city, all the while avoiding being murdered, robbed and raped (not necessarily in that order). For the past few weeks she’s been telling everybody back at home about this wonderful guy she’s been seeing and she was bringing to the anniversary celebration. Unfortunately the divorced single father she’s been falling far ended up being still married and Annie ended up without a date. There’s no chance in hell she’ll be going home alone and suffer through another bout of you-should-stay-at-home-and-marry-a-country-boy, so she needs a man. Pronto!

The bachelor auction is a given and the sexy hunk of a paramedic going last, with his long, black hair, vivid blue eyes, and a golden stud in his ear is a godsend. So Sean, the globetrotting business consultant (yeah, that’s what he really does for a living) and the girl-next-door with a body he can’t help salivating for Annie are stuck together until the weekend and her parents’ party.

All the get is one weekend, there could be no future for them…Yeah, right.

I’d highly suggest you read the first book, Slow Hands, first, because that one’s great, too, and you will have a better picture of exactly what went on with the program mix-up. But this story could easily be read as a stand-alone, so don’t fret if you missed the opportunity to download the first book for free. Your loss.

I loved this book. Even more than I love the previous one. Maybe because the mix-up didn’t drag throughout most of the story, but it was addressed early on and only served as some great dinner conversation and shared laughter.

I adored this story because of the two main characters, Annie and Sean. They were both nicely developed, they had depth, they had character, and when we discovered thy shared a rather bossy family past, it was made even more clear they were absolutely made for each other.

Annie was you typical girl-next-door type who grew up in a large family, with three overprotective brothers and an overprotective father. She desperately wanted to shake off the mold of the good country girl living in the big city. She wanted to see the world, experience things other than milking cows and living only a mile away from her family. Sure, she wanted a family as well, but in her own time and under her own rules.
She was sweet, caring, and had completely no clue as to how beautiful she really was – inside and out – until Sean came along.
I loved her final reaction, how totally nonjudgmental she was, how accepting and how understanding.

And Sean. Well, this tall, dark, gorgeous, long-haired, blue-eyed, golden-earring wearing, Irish-accented, sexy devil was a masterpiece in contradiction. At first he appeared beyond jaded, reminiscing about his sordid past, his living-in-the-Dark-ages father with his penchant for arranged marriage, his mother who sold him to get her next fix, the older women flocking to his side yadda yadda yadda. Yet, when he set eyes on the woman who "bought" him, he did a 180 so fast it made my head spin. Some would say that his intimate knowledge of women made him adjust to her needs to what he felt she wanted, but there was something in her that drew him, enchanted him, made him want to be a better man.

There’s something about taming-the-bad-boy stories that get to me. It’s great to know that he he’s still bad in the end, that he let himself be tamed, that it took one special woman to accomplish that fact. And it’s wonderful seeing such taming unfurl before your eyes.

This is what happened in this story. Not that Sean was such a bad-boy to begin with, he was more a consequence of everything that happened to him, yet just the fact he saw himself unworthy of Annie was evidence enough he was worth everything she could give him. And the fact he was ready to push her away, suffer the pain of the separation so he wouldn’t hurt her (he hurt her just by pushing away, but there’s no way to tell that to a man, because they’re so bloody smart and all-knowing!) was heart-breaking.

I was a little disappointed about how the anniversary party played out. With all that buildup, warnings, preparation I was hoping for more than a few pages. Though I loved how Sean got in her father’s good graces by beating Annie’s brothers at rugby (football is for sissies!).
And the ending was a bit of a let-down as well. It just seemed too abrupt. Instead of the epilogue the author could’ve stretched the last chapter a little more, building the suspense. I know the ending was a given, but she could’ve made us squirm more. The epilogue was a bit sappy, but a nice resolution to a great story.

This was truly a fantastic story to read, forget about everything, and just enjoy the fantasy swirl in front of our eyes. If you like reformed-bad-boy stories or just like to escape in the world of a sweet, sexy romance, this is definitely a story for you.

Harlequin prides itself for still being in the business after 60 years.  From the ones I've read, I'd say that simplicity and  timelessness are their secrets.

It's no different for this book.  Within its simple plot, fast-read quality and even the hot sexy scenes lies timeless lessons on love, family and self discovery.  Now that's very formulaic, but whoever concocted it knew what they were doing.

This was the companion book to Slow Hands by the same author. This is the gigolo Maddy thought she was getting. Instead, Annie, who is looking for a wholesome date to take home to her rural parents 35th wedding anniversary party, gets Sean Murphy.

I think it really works that Sean is a nice Irish boy gone wrong rather than a sleezy French gigolo. More Dermot Mulroney than Deuce Bigalow. Anyway, that's all in the past and Sean is now a business consultant.

Once again this was a surprisingly sweet book and the seemingly unlikely match is believable.

Heated Rush is the follow-up book to Slow Hands (The Wrong Bed: Again and Again, #1). It is the story of the 2nd bachelor at the charity auction who had his bio mixed up, resulting in mistaken identity by the bidders.

Annie recently found out her boyfriend was a lying, married dirt bag and dropped him. Unfortunately she has a family reunion looming and can’t go home to her close-knit family without the boyfriend she has talked so much about unless she explains why they aren’t dating anymore. Out of desperation, she scrapes up as much money as she can and places the winning bid on the sexy paramedic at a charity bachelor auction. Unbeknownst to Annie, the biography accompanying the picture of the bachelor she purchases is wrong. Instead of getting the sexy paramedic that she thinks will fit in perfectly with her family, she gets a wealthy entrepreneur who used to be a gigolo, not exactly the type of man that her family would accept.

There are lots of laughs in this book, including an emu standing on a Ferrari and sex in a ball pit that hopefully hasn’t been peed in. It was a quick and enjoyable read with likable characters.

So what happened to Bachelor #20?

This book can be considered a sequal to Slow Hands and I enjoyed it even more (maybe because Bachelor #20 is Irish!). Annie is just looking for someone to act as her boyfriend for one weekend during her parents' anniversary party so they won't keep pressuring her to give up her business in Chicago and move bach home. The heroic sounding EMT listed in the brochure of the Bachelor auction would be the perfect fit if she can convince him to play along - and if she can get up the nerve to bid on him. Unfortunately, the bio for the EMT was accidentally switched with that of Sean Murphy, who's talents include Business negotiator, Language Interpreter, Bodyguard and Professional Lover. He's not exactly the type of man who's usually brought home to meet the parents!

Am getting the feeling that I read this before, but pretty sure I haven't. Good thing or bad? Am enjoying it nonetheless.

I know why I thought I'd read it before. It is the 2nd in a couplet, following Slow Hands. I liked this one a lot. Sean and Annie were both very likeable. And I liked how Annie's family was incorporated into the story as well. And can I just say? Who wouldn't want to have sex on a Ferrari? Wow.

Who would have thought that a gigolo could make such a great hero? Ms. Kelly apparently. Sean Murphy, an Irish "international businessman," meets Annie, country girl living in the big city trying to make it on her own.

A children's charity (gotta love the children)mix up presents these two unlikely people a perfect platform for setting up a business deal that turns more into playtime then work.

It's companion tale..."Slow Hands" is also a can't miss.

OMG is there nothing sexier than an Irishman? I was quite pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this book. Interesting plot, terrific characters and a very satisfying HEA.

This is the third book I've read by this author, and they are always very cute. The set-up for this one was very fun and the characters were likable. I actually did laugh out loud a few times while reading. That plus excellent chemistry, made this book a pleasure to read.

Sexy and seductive romance
4 stars

Annie Davis needs a stand-in man for a looming family reunion or she'll never hear the end of it from her parents and brothers. With no prospects in sight she decides that her best hope is at a charity bachelor auction. The sexy bachelor she picks is the perfect man for her - a blue-collar, down to earth paramedic. Or so she thinks.

Sean Murphy has no idea how the biographies on the bachelor auction program got mixed up, but far from being a paramedic, he's actually a sophisticated Irish businessman who's excelled at pleasing and pleasuring women. Despite their differences, they can't seem to keep their hands off each other but Sean knows if Annie finds out about his past their delicious liaison will be over. Luckily they only have the week together and Sean plans to keep Annie very occupied during that time.

I really enjoy Leslie Kelly's books as I feel she has a way of making you care about her characters. This book is no exception as you really learn to like both Annie and Sean and root for them as a couple. The story is interesting, hot and good fun to read. The only reason I opted for the 4 stars rather than 5 is that the ending didn't really seem in keeping with the rest of the book. I was looking for some huge, passionate declaration of love and instead it was more quiet, understated and emotional. There's nothing wrong with this but it just didn't match the rest of the story in my opinion.

This book is the second of a two part mini series focussing on the mix up at the bachelor auction. The books do stand alone but they also work nicely as a pair so I would recommend the first book, Slow Hands, alongside this one. Sean also appeared in a short story of Leslie Kelly's - 'Three-Way' from One Wild Wedding Night.

Overall, this was a fun, sexy, interesting read and one I would definitely recommend to those that enjoy Blaze stories. 4 stars.

Although this book wasn't as good as it's predecessor, Slow Hands, it was a good read. If you have not already read Leslie Kelly's Slow Hands, swing over to Amazon and download the free Kindle addition and read it first...it really does lead into this story better and you know from the get go what has happened and why.

As for Heated Rush, I enjoyed picking up on a plot that was familiar and seeing what happened to 'the other guys' who had a mix up as well at the bachelor charity auction. I wasn't as drawn into the characters, and I'm not quite sure why, although I could relate slightly to Annie's character as we have the same career path.

The love scenes also did not seem quite as steamy as the first book, although they did satisfy. I was as shocked as the character Sean was, when he learned of the size of Annie's farm...up until that scene, I had envisioned this small country home, nestled on a couple of acres with an old red barn and some cows; to go along with this small town country girl I had made Annie out to be.

The family dynamics were funny to watch unfold on Annie's side, and you really sympathized with Sean's family dynamic. I'm really glad that Leslie Kelly left us an epilogue instead of leaving us hanging because that really helped close the story for us readers.

Overall this book was a good, quick read...just what a busy working mom of 3 needs when reading a book.

A wonderful story about a man with a past who is trying to succeed in the world despite his family's clutches and a woman trying to succeed in this world despite her family's clutches. Ironically they have much more in common despite being complete opposites. Annie is a warm loving woman who wears her heart on her sleeve who is a day care center owner and drives a mini van. Sean is a charming sexy man and an international business man who knows six languages. He also happens to have been a male escort for wealthy women in the beginning of his career.

This a well written funny provocative story with believable characters. It was riddled with such sexual tension that when it broke and they succumbed to it, it scorched off the page. Both characters are lovable that I was sad to end the story.

This book was a lot like it's predecessor, Slow Hands (The Wrong Bed: Again and Again, #1). Same MO, same auction, same wrap-it-up-quickly-and-slap-a-bow-on-it. Perfect for a quick, fluff read.

Another case of the cover not matching the characters. The guy (Sean) in the book is described as having longish hair and an earring (gag). The guy on the cover is much more my type.

I needed a fluff-read break. Still not ashamed.

Who'd have thought such a wonderful, timeless story of the nature of true love would come from Harlequin? A former male escort Sean Murphy is the second of two bachelors whose bios are switched at a bachelor auction. He ends up meeting wholesome Annie and finds loving acceptance in her arms. The nature of the mistaken bios is totally believable. The love story builds as these two people find they compliment each other perfectly.

I read a re-release put out last year with new cover & had no idea it had originally been a Harlequin release.

This is the follow-up novel to Book 1 of "The Wrong Bed, Again and Again" series and is a really cute book. Erotic and funny, a good story with a really nice cast of characters. I was asked to review Book 1 -- "Slow Hands" some months ago and initially encountered Ms Kelly's writing. I have been looking for others of her books ever since. Let's hear it for the used book store!! Both books in this series are really fun and worth the effort.

I really loved this book, but I wish it had been longer. There was so much emphasis on meeting the family, but in reality it was only one or two paragraphs. The ending seemed a bit rushed a blah to me, too. Other than that it was super adorable and funny. But the cover is so wrong it makes me sad. Did they even read the character descriptions before slapping the cover on?

Classsic cheesy romance novel. Nothing special but not bad either. I did like Slow hands better. Then again I think Romance novels are like porn sometimes....occasionally like in porn the story isn't really important...this book would be one of those cases!
