Доста остаряла книга, макар да е издадена през 2005 година.

Почти всичко в нея е налично и то в много по-подробен и задълбочен вариант в нета.

Не представлява интерес за хора с по-широка обща култура. Не ми е ясен и критерия за подбора на събитията (вероятно авторът е ползвал споменатата в нея теория на хаоса), поропуснато е доста, а той като британец се е концентрирал доста върху събитията от родината си, които не влияят в планетарен мащаб толкова, колкото му се иска на него.

Включил е и някакви библейски и подобни преразкази, които не са базирани на реални събития, обобщенията в края на всеки текст са необосновани и често дори смехотворни. Пример - инвазията на Уилям Завоевателя била полезна за Англия и спомогнала за развитието на английския език, защто го обогатила с много нови думи... WTF? :)

Нивото е ниско като текст и изводи, не бих я препоръчал.

There are a series of events that, in the author's view, have changed the world. In fact, the book is made up of a series of small stories collected from history books or from various papers. The author does not say how these events have changed the world, it does not talk about the effects of these events over time, and the events are chosen at random and have no logical connection between them. It's a holiday book of no great value.
