I won this book from Goodreads in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. I'd recommend buying it in the hardcopy because it's beautiful by itself, perhaps as a "coffee table book". The photos and layout are gorgeous. I'd also recommend buying the book before getting a cart and before buying all the things you'd accompany it. It addresses NOT just what your favorite drinks are, but ALSO great recipes, what choices are best with your life style, house deco, your special libations, and your guests. It has a lot of very practical and helpful hints to make your bar cart party a success and enjoyable.
I enjoyed this book for what it was, and appreciated that it didn’t try to be more. So often these books involving interior design end up with the author telling us more (too much?) about themselves. Here, Vanessa Dina broke chapters down by spirit or brew, showed a bar cart or two that would fit that mood, and gave 2 or 3 drink recipes. She added a few tips about how to draw other influences from the room in, or trick the cart out a bit to make it belong. Exactly what I was hoping for, no tiresome filler or unwanted life story. Thanks, Vanessa. I wish others would follow your lead.
Lots of creative ideas on how to style a bar cart! I was expecting general cart ideas and was pleasantly surprised by the themes surrounding a drink. The decor is cute and likely a nightmare if you have mischievous cats lol
Read this this book today. Super cute, loved the different options for each type of spirit and the different designs. Can’t wait to use this as inspiration for my bar cart in my future apartment.
