While this was good, it wasn’t great.
Adam is an omega who has grown up in an abusive pack. He has been told all his life that an omega needs to be obedient and punished regularly. He is sold to an alpha who tortures him for sports. But things change for him when he is rescued by Ben, an enforcer.
Ben is an alpha without a pack. He has no idea what to do with the hurt and traumatized omega and can already see the problems he is going to cause Ben.
But while they run from evil packs trying to take Adam, Ben finds out that Adam is no longer a nuisance, but that he is developing feelings for him…
I loved the first 25%. Adam was such a sweet guy who had been hurt so much. My heart was bleeding for him. I did have some trouble with Ben. He wasn’t all that sweet at first. He saw Adam as a problem and not really as a person in need of a soft touch.
I really wanted Ben to go all Alpha on Adam’s ass and to just claim him. In a loving, yet sexy way of course. But Ben gave Adam time. And time. And then some more time. It was way too dragged out to keep holding my interest.
They finally talked about them mating, but still no mating. Then they were waiting for Adam’s heat. And then all of a sudden we get told they are having hand job and blowjobs. I wanted to be there for the hand job and blowjobs. But no.
And after Adam’s heat, we suddenly skip to one year later and there are some casual I love yous thrown in.
We then get the pregnancy and the solution of them moving in with another pack.
The first 75% dragged and dragged and then all of a sudden it was like the author decided to wrap everything up and to just start speeding things along by skipping the first sex scenes (I consider hand jobs and blowjobs sex too) and fast forwarding a year.
This could have been better…

This was a sweet read. Ben started out a little grumpy, but he certainly stepped up for Adam when he needed to. My only complaint was the burn was a little too slow. I wanted Ben to bond with Adam and he waited until practically the end of the book.

I gotta say, I am really loving this series. I like that even though there are the Alpha/Omega characters and heats and mpreg, there is still a big focus on the characters and not just sex-driven PWP scenes.
Although Ben and Adam have a rough start since Ben is such a gruff character at first, they begin to warm up to each other. I love that Ben recognizes that Adam deserves to become his own self, to learn and experience things in the real world, so he knows that he has options in life other than baby maker. I just wanted to give Adam a BIG hug. I felt awful for the life he had endured before meeting Ben, he had been abused mentally, emotionally, physically by his previous alpha and owner. See? I'm a big sucker for the big strong alpha coming along and saving the weaker abused omega and both of them finding happiness with each other.
These two are very sweet together, and I also like that time passes as Adam continues to heal and become comfortable with Ben, many months pass through the course of this story. I'm hoping for more in this series soon, maybe Adam's brother can be found?

You know that feeling? The one where you surf amazon and look for good A/B/O stories but all you come up with is badly edited porny types that you read, cuz you know you have a yearnin', but they don't satisfy? Here is a series that will - you don't have to go re read slashfic again to get your addiction fed!
Adam's a very abused omega and Ben is an alpha - the blurb explains well enough what the story is about but what it doesn't do is tell you these books are slow heat and slow burn. No insta-lust with an abused mate - and these omega's come out of their shell and become who they are supposed to be. There are politics, wolf history, and some great side warriors keepin' an eye out.
I really enjoyed it and cannot wait for the next story!

Ben was pretty horrible. He redeemed himself far too late. With as vulnerable as Adam, the other MC was, it was impossible to overlook the callous disregard for an abuse victim. Ugh.

This book is short and still I can’t get past 37%. I’m wholly disgusted by everyone except Sam and Adam and I wish Sam was the Alpha Adam was connected to, not Ben. I don’t understand why the story wasn’t spaced out so the characters could get to know each other and we could witness the relationship bloom rather than have to be party to the repeated ill treatment of Adam.
Some books have pages upon pages of smut where you simply scroll through most and once the scene is over you keep reading the story. This book I wish had chapter titles so I could scroll through to a time when Adam is coming into his own and not being abused or ill treated.
It’s sad that this book is so highly rated.

I enjoyed this book all the way until the end when it left me with an important (to me) unanswered question. Don't get me wrong, it did not end in a cliffhanger by any means. The story did come to a conclusion. It just left one dangling thread that I wanted the answer to but did not get. That prevented me from enjoying this book fully. It is my hope that if the author writes another in this series that she will tie up that thread but that is not a given by any means. Ben was a bit unlikable especially at the beginning, but I really liked Adam and his journey so I give this book 3 stars.

Wonderful slow intense hurt-comfort romance for both alpha Ben and omega Adam. This wolf shifter world was brutal and very political. Ben waited until Adam went into heat to mate bond, at the 90% point, which was too late in my opinion. The first handjob and blowjob were off page. It would have been an opportunity to see Adam's reaction to a positive sexual act and also one outside of mating heat. The ending was very rushed.

This story started out with a bruised and battered omega as in the previous book but Adam was uneducated and didn't understand the world. Ben was a throw away Alpha that lost his birthright.

Just ended before babies again! It's the one major downfall for me. I chose this series because of the mpreg factor and it just keeps falling short.

Yay Adam!
So many horrible things for Adam to have gone through, but he never did lose his sweet spirit, which is pretty amazing. I think Ben took a minute, but he figured out what he should do, eventually.

I really enjoyed this one as much as the first. Alpha Ben is grumpy and I'm here for it. While this isn't the same pack as book one they interact with eachother and meet up by the end.

It also took a long time for any real affection to develop between the MCs.
C.C. isn't known for detailed, steamy sex scenes. Expect them to be brief and bland.

I felt no love, passion, or desire between the MCs. The relationship wasn't developed and felt superficial.
The simple story is easily forgettable—more telling than showing. Once again, the ending is rushed and abrupt. None of it was satisfying.

While I'm enjoying the fact there is more story than sex between these mates I'm not so keen on the Alphas.
In book one I could put it down to pack law and Sebs hands being tied. But Ben has no excuse. Just a mean nasty bully who never won me over. I guess I have to give him credit for trying to let Adam choose, but lets face it, in his conditioning Adam was never going to turn away from Ben.
That said I am invested in seeing how this series plays out. I do enjoy the hurt/comfort theme. I just want a bit more comfort.

It’s basically the same story as the first book, but with a worse alpha and more abuse to bear witness to. And I can’t wrap my head around a world where omegas are deemed pretty much extinct and yet whenever they are found they are still treated like shit by seemingly the most - it’s mentioned they make quite the impact in pack politics, so I’d assume at least they’d be treasured as precious cargos, but I did not get that sense.

Adam was a sweetheart, like a toddler taking his first steps he pushed through the fear and discomfort to learn about the world around him, to break free from the hard-beaten need for seeking constant alpha approval. The alpha however was a disappointment. How can you not recognise your mate? Phuleeze, with all those insta shifter pheromones whifting about? You need a nose implant, dude.

A sweet book. Well written, well edited. The characters are individuals, without leaning overly much on the Alpha/Omega trope. I enjoyed it vet much and recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good romance.

This book is so much better than the 1st in the series. The writing is tighter, proofing is better, and I liked the story and characters. It's a quick read with not much angst, not overloaded with sex and it's fun.

Not great
The alpha Ben is horrible. I could not really get into the story or root for them to be together because I hated Ben. Adam is a survivor of life long horrific abuse and Ben seems irritated and put out by it.

Harming an Omega
I get it. Put Omega (O) in trouble he/she cannot get of and have (A) ride to rescue.
I have found I love this genre and have been keeping my KU busy.
So, I get the whole foundation of this story. A lot of A/O stories like that, it is the appeal.
But this? I had to stop reading. This O goes through hell and then some. I made it more than a couple of chapters in and last two.
There is a happy ending, but how will O parent? How will O put this behind him? What of scars? Mayhap these are answered in the middle of the story and I am an idiot for not pressing on.
First book was really good. This book was really sad. Too much sad. Read first book if you read A/O stories as entertainment and not as social commentary.

The Alpha’s Choice is a very enjoyable Alpha/Omega mpreg story. The author continues to build her world for these characters as part of the Omegaverse world, and I continue to enjoy the series.
The focus is on building the characters and how they interact with one another, along with the rules of the packs. This is Ben and Adam’s story which begins in a this-isn’t-going-to-work manner. Ben is not sugary sweet but Ben helps Adam to come into his own so he can make his own decisions going forward.
There is a good HEA that doesn’t leave us wanting while we go forward into the next book in the series. I recommend reading the books in this series in order.

I was not a fan of this book. It started off with me hating Ben. He treated Adam like crap from moment one and I didn't really appreciate it. I didn't like their relationship even at the end.

Not as good as the first
I'm liking this series so far, but I really wanted to see some of the folks who have come in and disrupted and destroyed the leadership of the local packs to begin reaping the chaos they've sown.
Ben was a bit frustratingly indecisive throughout the beginning of this book and I wasn't sure if I wanted him to end up with Adam simply because he wasn't really being worthy of such a happy ending.

Usual alpha/omega dynastic pack structure, though this world’s pack has a backup alpha line, so they’re not putting all their eggs in one basket (not working out too well with TWO jealous uncles exiling the true heirs so they can pervert Pack Law).
Also, alpha fight over omega, good guy wins. What happens if the good guy isn’t the best fighter? Why not make a pack law without trial by combat?

I’ve read each book of the Lost Omegas and loved the storyline. My only issue is that I wouldn’t exactly call them romance books. Yes the MC’s eventually get together but their alone times appear more to get the job done, mainly mating and bonding. Where were the sparks, the sensuality the connections?. I kept hoping I would feel more of a connection to each couple as the series progressed. Had the storyline not kept me engaged I probably wouldn’t have read them all. I do hope this isn’t the theme with each of Claire’s books that she has written. I’m loath to find out.

This was a very bitter sweet story. Adam hadn't really live the life. Adam had been a possession. That is until Ben came to his rescue. When did know what he was in for power but he found out soon enough.
Loved the story, loved the characters. Mice series. Can't wait to read the next one.

Slowest burn ever! And somehow, I still did not like Benjamin and I believed he did not deserve Adam. I wished the Author actually paired Sam and Adam instead. He was the one who rescued him in the first place and was always looking out for him more. Honestly even the selfless acts by Ben still felt flat for me.
