Good story. Detailed history of Arizona. Would like more character driven storyline but enjoyed it.

Jeanne Williams has written a thorough and detailed romantic novel of early Arizona that was so vivid, it truly brought to life the struggles of the pioneers.

With incredible detail about how the pioneers managed their daily tasks and how they struggled to survive, a beautful story of women emerges. Through creating a liveable home, to child-bearing, to danger from wild animals and hostile aboriginals, this is a story of endurance and strength and courage. For those who love westerns with strong historical accuracy and a touch of romance, I really recommend this book. A great tale of the American wild west.

Harsh, beautiful, and heart-breaking. A good story of one man being loved by 3 very unique women that he found in their most dire moment of need, survival of pain, loss, and gain as well as the rough reality of the early days of the New Mexico/Arizona territories formation.

This well-researched first installment of a family story is lots of fun to read. I learned more about early Arizona history, too. I look forward to its sequel.
