I love this story. I couldn’t put it down! Just when you think “Eh, I could stop here, one more page though..” and then BOOM! Plot twist. I have never read anything like it in all its glorious originality! It has very strong Sci Fi/Fantasy/Romance elements to it, and if you marginally like any of those genres, this book is for you!

I love all of the characters! They were written so well, it was very easy to become emotionally invested in all of them, even the ones you don’t really like. I personally don’t find it hard to follow a lot of characters, whereas my husband can’t even handle watching so many characters in the Game of Thrones series.

In the previous book, The Guardian, the focus was on the two main characters Elizabet and Jareth. In this second installment, there were many more diverse and intricately written characters! Oh, and everyone brings the sass. I love the sass. There were so many times that I could picture Jareth rolling his eyes at Jeremy’s teen angst. It was great. Teenagers. The rebellious angst. The abundant sass.

The story does have a main focus on the developing romance between Jeremy and Beau as well as the impending attacks from Dover’s enemies. Beau was such a brat half the time, but I loved her. She’s not a boring character, that’s for sure! There were some very angsty scenes, but I was really glad that these two characters had phenomenal communication to work things out! How refreshing! It seemed almost too responsible how mature they could be when they worked through their discord. I found a couple of their romantic teasing and Beau’s brattiness scenes a little long, but they were still cute. Overall, they were so adorable to read about. I loved their dynamic and how lovingly patient Jeremy was with her. It was both cheesy and heartwarming. What adorable lost little cinnamon buns, both of them.

I really appreciated the explanation of how the hosts are caused by different storms. I don’t recall it be explained very much in The Guardian, I may have missed it, but I do remember readers having questions about the host/guardian relationship and they were all answered! I love that the author kindly took her readers into consideration and provided them with information to better understand the story.

The plot was suspenseful and surprising. It caught me off guard at the end where it picks up very quickly. So much action! Deceit! Betrayal! A death (noooooooo)! More time traveling! Ah! So good! The author’s writing is so wonderful and it’s only getting better!

Final verdict: Solid 4 stars! The ending was the best!

**If you have not read the first book: This review may contain spoilers.**

Actual rating: 4.5 stars

"As children, they protected their bond, and now he had come to terms with the fact they were grooming to be made for each other. To belong to one another". -Jeremy

Honestly, I have never read a book about time traveling and such, but I really enjoy this series!
Jeremiah Cameron Tremaine (Jeremy) is an innocent boy that is in love with Beau, and are not like other boys. I liked Jeremy's innocence and personality, and he is probably one of my favorite characters! I really liked Jeremy in the first book, The Guardian, and this made it easier for me to read and enjoy. Just Jeremy being a part of the series, makes me want to give this book 5 stars.
We get to know more about Dover and the hosts and guardians. Many questions were answered during the book, and I think it was good it was mentioned and answered now. It made it a lot easier to read and enjoy. This book took me less time than the first one: Category Jeremy certainly got a lot of action and plot twists! Really loved CJ, and will continue this series.

Review of Category Jeremy by Elizabetta Holcomb!
Soooooo Category Jeremy came out on the 1st of June and my copy was an ARC that I received from the author for a review.
I want to start with the rating this time. When I reviewed The Guardian, the first book of the Chronicles of Dover's Amalgam, I gave it a 3.5/5 stars, but to Category Jeremy I feel like giving it a well deserved 4.5/5 stars. And let me explain why. First of all I liked the fact that in this second book the main characters are different from those of book one. Jeremy and Beau are way more... genuine in their relationship than Jareth and Elizabet were and I loved that. I love their story, I love the unique way through which they communicate and I just love them. I just love Jeremy. My love. My host. Ahhhh ok I have to continue writing this review, I can't stop here.

As usual, the setting was amazing, I love time travel and all that comes with it (even Huns... nah joking), both the positive and the negative aspects of it.
The thing that kept me from giving this book a 5/5 stars is that everything that really matters, that really gives the story a deeper meaning, happens at the end and this can make the reading a bit slow, but still I really really really really really really enjoyed it.

Plus... I think I heard something about a third book!!! Awwwwww can't wait to read it!!
If you haven't yet, you should totally pick Category Jeremy up and if you missed the first chapter of the story, go buy your copy of The Guardian now!

Although I didn't fall head over heels with this sequel like how I did with The Guardian, I still found it highly enjoyable and addictive. I am really glad I picked up the time and read Category Jeremy. My knack for time travelling have been up-ed another level. This series just keeps getting better and better. It's a bonus that the characters are now more easy to relate to since they are living in a modern age.

Talking about the characters, the main character Jeremy Cameron Tremaine, in The Guardian, was a 9 year old with autism, Elizabet's cousin Beau's best friend, and the boy that Jareth Tremaine was supposed to protect and train for his abilities as a host. In Category Jeremy, eight years after that fateful trasformation as a hurricane, he becomes the adopted child of married couple Elizabet and Jareth Tremaine. With Jareth as his guardian, he is able to control his ability more often despite the downsides after dissipating.

Now what I liked about Jeremy is the fact that he is a very heroic character. Ignoring the fact that he is hot and beautiful (coughs! really really beautiful...), he is all sorts of perfect bundled up in one package. I liked how powerful yet humble Jeremy's personality is. He can be as brave as a real knight would be and as strong as a hurricane that he is, but this 17-year old boy knows how to be bashful at times as well. He loves so dearly, and I mean not just toward his girlfriend, Beau, but also towards his adoptive family.

Second main character, was Beau. I have no idea how I'm supposed to talk about her. To be honest, I didn't like her character right from the start up to the end. Her personality and way of thinking just doesn't work for me. I tried to understand her character, after all, the girl has suffered a lot from such a young age. But there's something about her that just doesn't sit well with me. I tried to be sympathetic about her history, but came up with nothing. Something about her making big deals out of nothing. She likes to make matters far more worse. And must I talk about the unnecessary jealous rage she had? Jeremy and Beau just kept having one problem after another. There were too many useless angst, when things could've been better with a little trust and talking. But I guess for Beau's character, gaining trust after you lost it would be a lot of challenge.

In spite of it all, I have to hand it to her. Beau's a very brave and sassy girl. No matter the danger brought along in being with Jeremy, she stood by his side till the end. She loves just as strongly as Jeremy does. Though, a little trusting wouldn't hurt. Again, I try to understand that.

Anyhow, I'm still glad I'm able to see more of my two crazy lovebirds, Jareth and Elizabet. I still prefer their story compared to Jeremy and Beau. Plus I love how both Jareth and Elizabet have grown into such strong characters. They've grown wiser and sassier. That didn't help the fact that I already love this couple better. I might be a grandma at heart, in spite of being 21 this year, but Jeremy and Beau's relationship was just too much for me. Too cliche, maybe? While Jareth and Elizabet's was a lot more subtler, Jeremy and Beau's were a lot too eager.

I think I'm from the 1300s as well. Yes, that must be it.

But I have to hand it to you. I loved that ending. Very much indeed. I felt satisfied with how things worked out in the end.

All in all, Category Jeremy was a fun read and although I mentioned I preferred the first book doesn't mean I didn't love Category Jeremy. And I know there would be more adventures to come in the next book! I can't wait 'til that next book comes. I am so excited to jump into more in the Chronicles of Dover's Amalgam!

3.5 stars! :)

Sincerely,
Darling, xo

You have no idea how hard it was to review this book without spoiling everything! After rewriting the review three times, I was finally satisfied with my review. This book is truly something that you must experience for yourself.

This book really surprised me, and I found myself very pleased by the end of it. Finally, we get to see the much talked about hosts in action. Though this story focuses heavily on Jeremy and Beau’s relationship, Elizabetta does a great job at balancing the stories romance and action. The idea of turning into an all-out storm like Jeremy’s hurricane is quite interesting. Seeing them, fight against one another makes for a truly refreshing read. The author paints an amazing picture with her unique super heroes. Together they fight to protect the Amalgam from the Huns. This time however, things get more dangerous, and the author does a great job of keeping secrets until the last minute giving you that wonderful “aha” moment. Even though Jeremy’s story is very different from Jareth’s, his modern day life mixed with time traveling makes for a very enjoyable tale.

After reading the first novel, I longed to see Beau back in the picture. I was very pleased to not only see her back in the second novel but to see her as a main character. She may come off as bold or stubborn at times, but she is as stubborn as she is loyal. Her unwavering devotion to her family won my heart in the end. Her relationship with Jeremy is believable, and they make a wonderful book couple. Throughout the book, I found myself longing to see them stay together. Beau falls seamlessly into the story as she reenters Elizabet’s life. I was very happy to see how Jareth and Elizabet’s life turned out. I was afraid that we would not see much of them since their story was not the focus. However, the author creates a wonderful atmosphere as Elizabet now embraces the role of mother, and begins mothering everyone in the book, including Beau. Instead of being the side character, Beau takes on a surprising role as she helps Jeremy and Jareth protect the Amalgam.

While the first book tended to rush things, Category Jeremy starts off at a completely different pace. I must admit that there were times when I wished that the pace would pick up, and honestly, I still felt confused about the time traveling. However, being that I am not a fan of time traveling, I tried not to think too hard into it and just accepted the facts at hand. For instance, watching the older versions of themselves travel back in time was unexpected, left me with lots of questions, but I loved it all the same.

Jareth was irritating in this book, and I am not sure why (It could very well be a clash of personalities in my case). However, I have to remind myself that his morals and beliefs are from centuries ago. At times, his actions caused me to cringe, but his forwardness in tough situations and his determination to do what he believed kept me from disliking him wholeheartedly. How can you hate a guy who supports his family’s musical career while carrying around his youngest child in a baby wrap? Sometimes the men in this book tend to come off as too handsome/charming (if that is even possible!), and as a consequence, the men could seem a bit too unrealistic and/or annoying for me personally (I understand that this is just my opinion that I’m sure many will disagree with). Once you move past their looks, you see the personalities beneath that shine through the story as they face many hardships and challenges. Unlike her first novel, Category Jeremy is laid out better and the overall flow has improved dramatically. With her second book being much better than her first, I can only imagine how great the third one will be and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

I won this book in a giveaway and I was really intrigued by the description. I'll admit that I did feel slightly lost from the beginning of the book because there is at least one book that takes place before this one. There's time traveling that goes on though so it makes it all a little tricky.
Jeremy becomes a host for a hurricane when he is a young boy growing up in Louisiana - that is, his body can actually turn into a hurricane at will. There are powers as well as problems that come with this ability. The story begins with him returning home after 8 years to his close friend Beau. He was whisked off to England as soon as he became a host and his family and friends didn't hear from him during that time. Jeremy and Beau realized that they loved each other in their time apart. But Beau was not very quick to forgive Jeremy for leaving her for all that time. It turns out that he became a part of an organization for other hosts (volcanoes, tornadoes, tsunamis) - Dover's Amalgam, which was based in Dover England in the 1800s. He was learning how to control his abilities while he was away. He and Beau fall more in love in the short time that he is back in Louisiana. But they can't have a happy ending just yet because there is a villain who is massing his own group of hosts in order to overthrow Dover's Amalgam.

What I really liked about this book is that it is a truly unique concept with a lot of room for an interesting universe. There's time travel, hosts with super powers, battles, humor, and more. The author did a really good job of creating something really different and interesting.
I do feel though, that things could have been explained better in some cases. In this book, for instance, Jareth was doing "church reform" in Louisiana. I couldn't figure out what that meant, even after reading the whole book. He was a prince from England who was very pious and formal but I really felt lost on that whole aspect of the book. The lack of contractions in the book was also really annoying. I get that the speech of people from the 1800s would be different but there was a lack of contractions throughout the book that was distracting. The editing in general could have been better as well. Lots of missing commas, misused or misspelled words, and more. For example, there would be a switch of scenes and there was no indication of this in the formatting (no space between paragraphs or asterisks or tildes or anything - just one paragraph right after another.) Not the worst editing I have seen but it definitely could have been better.
I also had a little trouble relating to the characters. The romance sections between Jeremy and Beau were sort of too sweet and cheesy for my taste. The dialogue was just a little unbelievable. Although I will say that I liked Beau's character in general. She was sort of spicy and hot headed and I liked that!
Overall, an interesting read!

(WARNING: There may be some mild spoilers for the first book, The Guardian, in this review!)

Overall I really enjoyed this book! I thought the character development was fantastic and I think that Elizabetta Holcomb's writing has improved so much with this book, which is the second in its series. The first book, The Guardian, focuses mostly on Elizabet and Jareth and I felt that, although good, there wasn't much character development and a lot of things were left unexplained (wormholes, hosts, guardians, time bands, etc.). In this book we get a much better explanation of these elements and, in my opinion, the overall story was a lot better.

We learn that Beau is resentful towards Elizabet and Jeremy because she feels that they left her alone to deal with the aftermath of what happened with Jeremy at the end of The Guardian. It is now eight years later and the Tremaines, including Jeremy, have moved back to Louisana. I really liked how this book didn't just focus on Elizabet and Jareth, and that the main focus shifted to Jeremy and Beau and their budding relationship, along with all the hiccups said relationship brings. I enjoyed the interactions between the characters and all the sass each of these characters brings to the table. A lot of new characters are introduced in this book, but it is written in a way that they are slowly introduced and are easily remembered.

Category Jeremy lists various rules and such for Guardians and Hosts at the beginning of each chapter, which really helped to clear up things that were unexplained and a bit confusing in the first book. I found it interesting that each Host has a specific natural disaster that they "host" or become. For example, Jeremy is a host for a hurricane, and some other Hosts we meet are hosts for tsunamis, volcanoes, tornadoes, etc. We also learn that Jeremy has the ability to siphon, which means that he can hear/feel the thoughts and feelings of others. It is explained that not all hosts can siphon, so this is an ability that is pretty unique to Jeremy. Wormholes, time bands, and the Amalgam are explained much more in this book, which I really appreciated because the first book left me pretty confused about these elements.

Like I said, I really enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend the series. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. Happy reading!

I was it by a hurricane, a tsunami, a volcano eruption! I was blown away, caught in the storm that is Category Jeremy. Thank heavens the 2nd book will be out sooner than later. And the better news is the next books will also be out this year. Jareth can't get enough of Elizabet. Jeremy can't get enough of Beau. I can't get enough of all of them.

...

I have so many feels about this book that I have to stop and breathe and try to write this review as coherent as possible before I hyperventilate.

Elizabet is older now, same age as me actually. And it's fun reading about her life while we are on the same age. She's wiser and a good family man. Jareth is Jareth. HAHAHA I love how we are now living with the kids. How time flies. And their family dynamics with Jeremy. Adoption is not an issue, it is as normal as being blood-relatives. It is not a big deal and that's how it should be.

I find it a bit repetitive though- Jeremy and Beau's love story. It has the same formula with Jareth and Elizabet's story: THE man and the girl who gets pulled into his crazy "sci-fi" life. Nonetheless, I was smiling like an idiot while reading some passages to myself, aloud. Even now, as I type this and remembering some scenes *idiot smiles* ohhh the feels... Still, I hope this love story formula would stop with Jeremy and Beau's. Romance is inevitable in this series but my fingers are crossed that there will be new themes developed for them.

It's refreshing that we got answers in this book. Things that were left unexplained in The Guardian. And no info-dumps too. We get to learn about things slowly and just enough for us to keep up with what's happening. In fact, it feels like the readers are all Beau in this one.

There are many characters involved in this book but never did I got confused. Many characters, yes, but not too much. Plus, you invest so much in the story that you feel like you're a part of it and naturally, you know everyone.

My reading life is now generally about waiting for the next books in this series to come.

Let’s talk about time travel for a minute. It’s a pretty tough, but interesting, subject to approach in a novel. There can be a lot of “science” behind what goes into the story, so getting it right is a major factor to the novel’s success. There’s also the butterfly effect to think about. If you haven’t heard of that, the butterfly effect essentially means if you go back in time and kill a butterfly, current time will be completely different from that one small change. So. How does messing with time effect the story? Will changes be that drastic? Will there be rules, regulations, and/or consequences? Well Elizabetta Holcomb seems to have done her homework in the subject and pulls of a gripping time travel romance tale – Category Jeremy (to be released June 1st).

First, thank you to the author for sending me a copy of her wonderful book to review pre-release. Second, I want to mention that this is the second book in the Chronicles of Dover’s Amalgam series, but I have not read the first installment. I expressed my concern to Elizabetta and was assured that her and her editor worked very hard to allow Category Jeremy to be read as standalone. With that disclaimer, I am pleased to agree that they indeed did a fantastic job creating a story that played off the first novel, but was able to be read alone as well. There was really only one part that I felt slightly confused with the dynamics of the time traveling (and assume it probably made perfect sense to those that read the first book); HOWEVER, that did not ruin my experience in reading this at all. In fact, let me express some of my raving feelings on Category Jeremy.

Okay! *takes a deep breath* Get ready for some serious fangirling!

OMG!!! Jdsshvdjkdvjsjjdjydnsjkfh!!

You know how in some series, the first book is the best and then it just gets bad! This is quite the opposite here!
I already admired this author's writing in The Guardian, but the quality of her writing in this book is incredible!!! It is beautiful, lyrical. The entire time, I had a clear picture in my mind of what was going on. Everything is carefully described. Anyone thinking indie authors can't write need to read this book!!!!

Though I loved The Guardian, Jeremy Category is just incredible.

This book can be read as a standalone, btw.

Jeremy = Heart!!!

And for those who love diversity, Jeremy is autistic, and I know the author does a lot for Lift4Autism. This is the first time I've read a novel where the main character is autistic and we need more of these novels!

Read this book now!

Also, the cover!!! Hello! So beautiful! (No, no, I am not jealous at all, I swear! =p). I'm gonna go now and fangirl on my own. 'Kay, bye!

If you haven´t read the book, this reviw may contain some spoilers!!!

Category Jeremy was even more fabulous than The Guardian! I could literally not put the book down, which resulted in me staying up late many nights "to read one more chapter". As opposedto The Guardian, this book did not focus on just 2 characters but on many more. Because there were more important characters in this book than there were in the first, you need to pay a little more attention to what you're reading to fully understand the story, but when you do, I promise this is an amazing read! This book is not like any other book I have read, though it fits within the themesof romance/sci-fi, this book is entirely unique. The romance between Jeremy and Beau was well-written and super intense. Beau really was a brat sometimes, but that is what made her a very interesting character! I loved how Jeremy and Beau were always able to work out the drama. This was an amazing book and I can't wait to read the next book!

This book is a fabulous read. Historical, paranormal reads are not my usual picks. This book is a diamond in the rough. Elizabetta has created a world that you will want to be in. Characters that you will not get enough of. And a storyline that is intriguing no matter which book you start with.

This one was a little bit of a slow start for me. The story take place between two time periods, which I did not care for so much.

If you like time travel, suspense, historical paranormal romance this I would highly recommended you read this book.

This book is the second installment of the Chronicles of Dover's Amalgam by Elizabetta Holcomb. I have read that this book can be read as a stand-alone if one is reading this and has not read the first book prior. When discussing first books, most of the time I love the first book to the moon and the second book is just so-so. A second book slump. That is not the case here because this book I loved to another galaxy. The first book, The Guardian, was good, but this was definitely my favorite. My absolute favorite part was how Elizabetta decided to start out the book. Describing hurricanes and Category Jeremy. That legit gave me chills. Set the stage for the entire book perfectly right there.

Another thing that really made me love this book more, for me, is that I already knew the basics. I knew more of how the Amalgam worked versus how much I knew at the beginning of the first book and I knew the characters. Well except Ceasar, he was a new character, but I knew Jeremy, Beau, Jareth, Elizabet, and the kids. I also really loved how at the beginning of a chapter it had a tidbit of information, whether that be a rule or just a quote from someone at some point. That was a great addition that made the book better, even if it was just a detail.

I liked what the beginning conflict of this book was. You don't start out with something boring or confusing, you get right into the action. Jeremy is going to see Beau for the first time in years. I know that might not sound that exciting, but I got into it! This book held a lot more romance than the first book did. Yes, Jareth and Elizabet did have an amazing romance, but being a teenager myself, at the wee age of 16, I related a lot more to the romance of this book. I have read reviews over this book from women ten years older than me and they loved it too. So this book is definitely one for all ages.

The adventure and drama of this book is so great. There are characters you come across that Elizabetta does a great job at making you hate from the start, her character descriptions are a cut above. For the sake of the reader making their own experience with this novel, I will not say who I hated the most, but everyone who has read knows exactly who the short short wearing, cleavage showing, beauty is.

You figure out so many things while reading through that you knew were going to happen but just couldn't put them together. You knew why something worked, but Elizabetta hadn't spelled it out yet. I knew why Jeremy was able to do some of the things he did, just not exactly.

More on the romance of this novel, before finishing and spending a good deal thinking it over, I wasn't exactly sure how Jeremy was able to be such a smart kid when it came to how to deal with hardship, but then I realized. You know when you had your first relationship and everything was just working out perfectly? Like you and your other worked through all your fights and knew you were going to be together forever? The simplicity? I think Jeremy and Beau worked out so nicely because it was each of their firsts. They seemed to be completely sure that this teenage love was going to last. To me, it seemed maybe a little bit too hopefull. Considering all of the hardship that comes with being a host, I think maybe things were maybe a bit too convenient.

Honestly, that was my only issue with the realism of this book. Everything else seemed perfect. I loved the way Elizabetta Holcomb wrote this novel. I love the lengths of the chunks, not just the chapters. I have been a bit busy lately with moving, so the chunks served nicely as a place to stop. Don't get me wrong. I didn't want to stop, but I had to load the moving van.

The last chunk of this novel was perfect. You know that there is still going to be some hardship, but you know that for right now everything's fine. it reminded me of the movie ending of Mockingjay, everything was just so perfect. I'm definitely looking forward to another book in this series. I think the next book is going to be even better for me and am definitely looking forward to reading it. I'm very thankful for Elizabetta Holcomb sending me a copy of this book, it's recently out so more people need to get their heads in the game and order a copy!

Title: Category Jeremy (Chronicles of Dover's Amalgam #2)
By Elizabetta Holcomb
Genre: Romance & Time Traveling
Age category: Young Adults

Blurb:
Jeremiah Cameron Tremaine Within the body of Jeremy is a weapon of mass destruction. Being the strongest host in Dover’s Amalgam, he is a hurricane of a class all by himself. The strongest host alive. Living between two time periods: one life in medieval Dover and the other in modern Louisiana, England, and the Cayman Islands, he finds life becomes a cluster of unfortunate events that bring him face to face with the girl he left behind. Beau Angelle Benoit Eight years ago, something happened to Jeremy. After being lost in Hurricane Libby, Beau was there when they found him naked, half starved, and surrounded by dead animals. She could hear him speaking without ever opening his mouth and when he touched her, she could feel the energy he contained. But instead of trusting her with his abilities, he left her to face government officials who probed her mind and a town that thought her a lunatic. Reunited Jeremy is back in his hometown of Gueydan, Louisiana to help with church reform and to dismantle host formation as the dawn of mega storms comes to the south coast. When he sees that Beau is in need of hero, he is more than happy to be that person. Wanting to see her reputation restored, he will do anything to make right the wrongs he is responsible for in her life—even if it means to lie to her so he can protect her from becoming a target for the enemies of Dover. The Hun’s are back and forming an army of host of its own, plowing down anyone that stands in their way of power and complete control of Dover’s Amalgam.

My though:

Lovely book! I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book, but it was really good. As always does Elizabetta write in her own style. Her books are always unique. I loved how she described the new characters we were introduced to in the second book. This book had a lot of plot twist that I didn't expect. That made me want to read more. Still, it was very hard for me to finish this book... I suppose it was because of my crappy mood.

Buy or not to buy: go and buy it!

Stars: 4/5

Category Jeremy is a YA historical/time-travel/superhero novel that tells the story of Jeremy Tremaine—one of the Dover Amalgam—whose body contains a weapon of mass destruction. In Jeremy’s case, this weapon is a hurricane that puts him in a class unto himself. Jeremy’s life, while complicated enough living between time periods: medieval Dover, and modern Louisiana, England, and the Cayman Islands, and being the strongest host in the Amalgam alive, becomes even more complicated when he returns to Louisiana to gain the forgiveness of his best friend (and someone he has come to love deeply), Beau Benoit.

Holcomb’s novel is a unique spin on the superhero genre, with a wholly original take on superhero origins that will not only interest readers, but touch their hearts as well. Add to that an exciting plot filled with twists and turns, you have a story that will entertain readers of all ages for years to come in and out of this genre.

With rich, well-drawn characters, a fresh take on superhero origins, and a plot that will leave readers clamoring for more, Holcomb’s work is not to be missed!

Jeremy returns to Gueydan, Louisiana with this family to help with church reform and to dismantle host formation as the dawn of mega storms comes to the south coast. He comes face to face with Beau, the girl he left behind. His love for her is still there but they have a long road ahead of them to make it work. Beau is trying to recover from the the storm eight years ago and a town that thinks she is crazy.

I did like how this book focused on Jeremy and Beau and their love for each other. Don't let that fool you though, Ms. Holcomb throws in plenty of twists, time travel, and elements in this book. The first book in the series had so much going on and I was lost at times but this book helped clear up some things.

I felt like we got to know the characters in this book very well. You got to understand so much more about the Guardians and Hosts. Each characters has so much depth. Beau has plenty of sass and will have you laughing at times with her antics.

In this read you will get romance, action, angst, and plenty of twists and turns.

I thought this book was a great read. I enjoyed the characters, backstory, etc. I felt a little lost at the beginning but I hadn't read book 1 yet. After reading the story of book 2 I purchased the first story. I loved the premise of time travel, wormholes, Dover's Amalgam and hosts. New and fresh ideas in this book from my personal reading knowledge. Loved the relationshios, characters, the details and descriptions, etc. I didn't feel like autism was explained enough in the book though or even necessarily needed. I also noticed other references although very minor to a couple of the other characters having learning challenged disabilities. Once again I didn't think they were explained enough or necessarily needed. The book would have stood on its own without. I just feel the author since mentioning them should have delved in more for the readers understanding. Maybe book 1 has more of that in it. I overall thought the book was a great read and will be reaching the first.

Jeremy left 8 yrs ago because of his special powers. He is a force of mass destruction in the form of a hurricane. He can also read minds. He time travels between medieval Dover, Lousiana and Cayman Islands. He has returned to Lousiana to make amends with his best friend Beau. He helps in church reform and dismantle a host formation as the dawn of a mega storm comes to south coast.

I was a bit lost in beginning of this story. Once I got the idea of what was going on I really enjoyed it. The character's were unique. My favorite was Jeremey. I think he just wanted to be an ordinary guy just like anyone else. He has special powers along with being able to time travel. Which at times I could see that being both a curse and a benefit depending on circumstance. Beau and Jeremy have a great connection and friendship, that I enjoyed watching grow over the course of this book.

* I received this book for free, as part of a Blog Tour Hosted by Happy Lil Book Nook. In exchange of an honest review*

I will start by saying, I love the cover. Secondly, I will say I read the whole book, without realizing this was actually the second book in a series, So I am kind of bummed I read it out of order. I would highly recommend this book, solely based on its originality. A boy who is a weapon of mass destruction, see's the girl he left behind 8 years ago? I'm all in! This book was a great surprise, and I liked it much more than I thought I would.

This book is a follow-up to the authors first book and the main characters from that book make appearances in this book which I really liked to catch up with them. The story itself seems to mainly be about the growing relationship between Beau and Jeremy although there is plenty of action and twists and turns to keep you entertained. There were a couple of sections I found a bit drawn out with information - the writing was so enjoyable that I didn't really mind it. Can't wait for the next book.

Paranormal books are usually not my favorites, but I have the say this book is the exception to that rule. I loved this novel. Children with Autism are so special they all deserve to be superheros. I loved how the story came together and I found myself wishing dreams could come true. BRAVO Elizabetta.

The author weaves an original storyline filled with a cast of relatable characters. The family dynamics as well as “workplace” dynamics are nicely developed. The prose is clean and the dialogue suits each character. I enjoyed the world-building and the intriguing powers certain characters held. If you’re looking for a new fix, I recommend you try out this series.

I almost enjoyed The Heir more. The Heir trust sucked you in and held your attention. This one was fun and enjoyable, but the story played catch up in the beginning. This made it a slow start and pretty boring. The story had some twists one superheroes, but I just wasn't "into" this story like I was the first one.

Another clean addition to the saga

Time traveling dune nice and clean without the usual unnecessary bedroom scenes. Romance, drama , deceit and faithfulness. This could be a nice movie someday. 😃
