A book?
I have to go back and check, did they say this is "first book free"? I don't think it was even a half book. Just when I got into reading it, it was the end. Very disappointed. Or are all the books in the series this short??

Not a book, only a couple chapters
All of her "books" are nothing more than than a couple chapters long. You buy the next one only to find out that again it is but a small part of the story. Once, shame on you, twice, I find another author who can write a whole book.

The first installment of the story may be seen as dubious consent. But clearly Trudie is curious about sex and is willing to learn more about it, as she’s made a trip with her friend Diana to Chateau Follet. Though it is revealed Trudie is content with Leopold, her husband, she is conflicted over the marriage that has become stale. Trudie is struggling with feelings of distaste for her wanton behavior but can’t resist the new found feelings of arousal and desire.
What Trudie does not realize is that the same gentleman, in disguise, who has just given her a breathtaking orgasm is her husband. Leopold Spencer, Baron Ramsay, travels to Chateau Follet once he learns that Trudie and Diana are spending a few days there. He’s angry and intends to collect Trudie and take her home. But upon arrival, he decides it is to his benefit to approach carefully and find out why she’s come. Leopold is surprised about discovering things about his wife and having a delicious time.

I know these “books” are short, chapters really, and I prefer to wait till there’s a box set or compilation to read these stories, so I’m not complaining of that here. I didn’t like this one so much for the whole setup. A woman much neglected by her husband, he wants to punish her for a thought of infidelity even though she hasn’t committed it until her forces her to, while he’s had a mistress for a long time….. usually the heroes in her stories were more open-minded, and while he reflects on his hypocrisy, it just wasn’t enough to make me like him at all.
But what killed it for me is that she doesn’t recognize her own husband because he has a mask and wig??? Come on. I know people I never had sex with from a distance just by their walk. Don’t recognize the voice of the man you’ve known since childhood and have been living with for a while now…..really? Do you not know the people you’ve had almost daily experience with just because they’re dressed up for Halloween? This just bothers me too much and kills the story for me.

Lord Ramsey learns his wife is heading to a upscale brothel because she seeks pleasure. Take from his perspective. Forsaken a year of sex, Trudie is convinced by Leopold’s cousin, Diana, to seek sexual gratification that neither women receive in their marriages. Pride & jealousy forces Leopold to find his wife and bring her home. But reflection cause Leo to teach his wife a lesson.
Of course the irony that the man gets the pleasure and the dutiful wife remains unsatisfied isn’t lost in this story. She wants passion, satisfaction, adventure and fulfillment. Perhaps even love instead of ignored, neglected and dismissed.
Five chapters is just an appetizer to this story. It’s obvious Trudie will unintentionally teach Leo a lesson - using his possessiveness & pride against at him. I do like how extreme actions reveal the truth in the end.

This was an entertaining story from the start, when at the races, Lord Spencer is surprised to learn from his bored friend that their wives will stop at Chateau Follet. I loved that scene, which convinced me to read this book. How can his neglected young wife be willing to accept some sexual attention from a anonymous stranger at the Chateau?! Payback is tough!

Wish this wasn't a serial, I want it all now!
Their second round of coupling was borderline force. The lady did/didn't want to do it because she wants to be faithful to her husband but she obviously wants to be pleasured as well. I hope all future works are not serials or can consider a complete story in each book.

Submitting To The Baron by Em Brown is a very short read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. Brown has delivered a well-written book. Leopold and Trudie's story is loaded with drama and sex. I enjoyed reading Submitting To The Baron until I discovered the cliff-hanger ending. Submitting To The Baron is book 7 of the Chateau Debauchery Series and is a cliff-hanger.

Leopard Spencer, Baron Ramsey & his wife Trudie's story was compelling. Intrigue as to the depths of his wife's betrayals, he purposely deceived her. Trudie, unhappy in her marriage decided to repay her husband's unfaithfullness. Soon matters get complicated as they discover truths about themselves. Enjoy this story. Recommend. Happy Reading.

This was a quick afternoon read that I enjoyed. I like the darker side of steamy and the way the main encounter in this story plays out is a bit on that edge. Em Brown not only writes well...her ability to narrate is wonderful. It was interesting to hear an author bring her own characters to life. It added to the fun of this read.
