In I m Silly!, a hyperactive tornado gets a bit TOO goofy and ruins his friends tea party. A sweet, funny, and simple introduction to the impact that emotions can have on the people around you.

First sentence: This is Tizzy Tornado. Whoosh! How are you feeling, Tizzy? Silly!
Premise/plot: There are four board books in Holm's board book series, "My First Comics": I'm Grumpy, I'm Silly, I'm Sunny, I'm Scared. In I'm Silly, young readers meet a tornado who doesn't always understand the consequences of being silly. In other words, silly isn't always funny. OR. You can be funny without being silly.
My thoughts: So far I've read I'm Scared and I'm Silly. I enjoyed I'm Scared. But I think I loved I'm Silly even more. I would definitely recommend this series. I like the comic format. I think it would be a very good introduction to comics.
Tizzy was spinning and he spun next to a pond with a duck in it. He made the duck quack because it got scared. Then Tizzy laughed. Tizzy saw Grumpy Cloud and Sunny. He did something silly and Sunny said it wasn't silly. Tizzy apologized and he cleaned up the mess. Sunny cloud said, "That's okay, Tizzy." Tizzy made a mustache with his milk and made everyone laugh, including him. He learned that he shouldn't spin around to be silly but he can use milk to be silly. It makes people laugh instead of not like it.
Tizzy the Tornado is being silly. But when is silly not funny? Can Tizzy learn the limits?
A graphic novel board book that teaches kids the lines between funny silliness and destructive/harmful silliness. An important lesson for littles to learn presented in a fun way.
A very realistic lesson about being too silly- and the main character is a tornado- which is just perfect for a toddler who needs to learn to not be reckless silly or hyper. Kind of a Tigger archetype.
Board books to introduce the youngest readers to comics and the storytelling. Simple storylines and cute illustrations will hopefully appeal to customers!
Fun beginner graphic novel board book series that deals with emotions and being a good friend also. A great way to start teaching words by reading picture panels, narration, word bubbles, and sound effects. Loved the cameo from Sunny & Grumpy in this one.
We absolutely loved I’m Grumpy and I’m Sunny last year, and were delighted to learn that Jennifer and Matthew Holm were writing another book in the series.
In I'm Silly, Jennifer and Matthew introduce us to Tizzy, a cheerful, easily excited tornado who wants to do nothing but zoom across the world and exert energy. However, he accidentally ruins Sunny and Grumpy Cloud's picnic, and instantly feels bad.
However, their easy forgiveness helps Tizzy learn how to balance both his energy, with the calmer attitudes of his new friends. It's a smart lesson on learning how to read a situation, with cheerfully bright colors and easy-to-read dialogue to match.
