4 - Talk about the best Christmas present ever... Stars!
Katie Reus returns to the Moon Shifter series for the final time, with a Christmas novella, that pretty much gives you a little something from each and every couple from the previous books in the series.
This isn’t a series that I have read in its entirety, so jumping from one couple to another took me a little time to get used to, but the running theme through the story was Noel and Nathan’s coming together, after a pretty traumatic year has left Noel closed off and feeling a little lonely after seeing a lot of her friends and pack members finding and falling in love with their mates.
"Life’s too short to close yourself off forever."
Although it wasn’t a struggle to read, I think there would be more benefit gained if you have read all of the previous books/novellas in the series. I definitely count myself in that group, as it just made me want to read the books for the couples I didn’t really know. I loved Nathan, he went about wooing Noel, even though she insists on friends initially, it didn’t take her long to realize that he was offering so much more.
"I want to feel you under me, want to be skin to skin."
And there were inclusions from couples that I do remember from the titles I have read in the series, and it was really great to catch up with them and see everything tied up for them and the series as a whole. That-said Katie definitely left a few of the younger members from the pack with potential stories to be told at some point in the future and I hope that she does decide to revisit the series to tell their stories at some stage.
ARC generously provided by the author, and it was a pleasure to provide the above honest review.
I was hoping that this book would be able to "standalone" but it really can't. 1- too many stories references off the pages 2- too many secondary characters taking the central focus 3- not enough info to develop a clear understanding of all the story lines 4- every couple for the other books in this series are mentioned and their family member 5- I didn't have enough information about their shifter rites and rituals to understand what was going on. 6- the actual story with the two MC's represents less than half the book.
If I was simply to rate this book alone (which I don't think is fair) I would have to say it's maybe a 2 star read. Now if these are all the epilogues from all the other books plus a short story thrown in, I would give it a 3.5 maybe a 4.
I had some wonderful quotes here from the book but since they don't come from the main characters, I felt it best to leave them out. Here are some I found sweet by the hero "I haven’t been with anyone since our kisses a year ago. I haven’t wanted to. Just thought you might want to know.” GOOD TO KNOW HE WAS FAITHFUL. “You can come by anytime you want. You could move in with me tomorrow if you wanted.” He inwardly winced at his not-so-smooth words. Way to be subtle about things. He was completely invested in his mate Noel and lived to please her.
Honestly, If I had the first bloody clue what was going on with this gang of Shifters and Paranormals, I would have enjoyed this book a lot more. As it was I was reading and rereading passages from the book to understand it all.
BTW- I honestly felt that the sample was very misleading. When I downloaded it and read it, it was mostly about this couple here. But this whole book was mostly about others tying up loose ends and getting their HEA. I don't appreciate that as I had not read the other book.
Note for me NEVER AGAIN!
However, if you have been reading this series and know all these characters, you might simply adore this book. I would like to say, I will go back and read all the others, but that's 6 more books and I was not that interested in it. For me to invest that much time and money into a series, I have to really want to read it. This book, while cute and sweet, did not pull me in.
Safety: is great he is not a man whore and she is a virgin. Without any issues with drama from OW/OM (believe me enough people in this book to keep your head spinning) no condoms.

REVIEW: 4.25 stars--A MATE FOR CHRISTMAS is the seventh and final installment in Katie Reus’s contemporary, adult MOON SHIFTER paranormal romance series. This is wolf shifters Noel Cordona, and Nathan O’Neill’s story line although many of the previous story line characters are featured as the author takes a final look at each of the couples, as well as a look into the future. Because A MATE FOR CHRISTMAS wraps up Katie’s Moon Shifter series, it is not recommended as a stand alone as a number of previous story line situations are referenced or brought to conclusion.
Told from several third person points of view including Noel and Nathan A MATE FOR CHRISTMAS follows Noel as the grief over the death of her sister, one year earlier, continues to grow. As Nathan patiently waits on the sidelines for the woman he knows is his mate, Noel begins to have second thoughts about the man with whom she is falling in love.
A MATE FOR CHRISTMAS wraps up a number of the previous story lines with happily ever afters; a glimpse into the future; and the expanding Cordona/Armstrong pack of shifters, vampires and fae. With the approach of the Christmas holidays the wolves begin to settle into a routine focusing on the celebrations, several new matings and revelations of love, and the possibility that more than one couple have a surprise announcement for the New Year.
Katie Reus’s wonderful and exciting MOON SHIFTER paranormal series is a must read for fans of the supernatural story lines. A MATE FOR CHRISTMAS is a story of romance; of family; and of happily ever afters.
Katie Reus returns for a final time in the Moon Shifter series with a Christmas novella that gives a brief look at every couple from previous books in the series plus we get to end the series with a pair up of wolf shifter Noel Cordona & wolf shifter Nathan O’Neill as mates and a couple. Their road to being mates isn’t easy. Noel is dealing with the loss of her parents and a sister. Its been a year since their death and she is still having a very hard time dealing with their deaths. There’s guilt at the thought of letting herself finally enjoy life, feel joy and just move on, when knowing her sister will never share it with her again. It takes some wise words from someone new in her pack to finally get her to see things in a new light and Noel finds her able to go into a new avenue for a place of healing. Then there is Nathan. He is someone who means a lot to Noel—before everything went so wrong in her life, he was starting to intertwine in her life but tragedy got in the way before that could occur. Noel thinks there isn’t anything left for them now but she is so wrong. Nathan has always loved Noel and hasn’t given up on bringing magic and light back in his mate’s life. When Nathan takes a kiss she feels alive for the first time in a very long time but she also feels so broken inside—what can she offer this handsome man ? Nathan has just been waiting to let his mate grieve over her loss but his patience is wearing somewhat thin. He knows she hurts but he sees that she is starting to come back but thinking they are just friends, well, that is not what they are. Their distance is great but Nathan is determined to show Noel just how good things are going to be between them , and this wolf has some tricks up his sleeves at the ready to do so. Their journey is a special one , especially since this is the last Moon Shifter story. We get to visit back on other previous couples and catch up on how they are doing. They are brief peaks but even that small look was a delight. This was such a beautiful and perfect ending to a lovely series. I loved in this book the emotion, the sweet ways Nathan took care of Noel when she was floundering, lost yet he never wavered in his love for her. Noel was a strong woman who realized the living is where everything is at and her love for Nathan was a perfect ending for this series. All I can say is, if you love shifter books, then do not pass this book /series up.

A mate for Christmas is a sweet novella which tells the story of Noel and Nathan but also visits our favorite couples of the series.
Noel is still trying to get over her sister’s death. Her other sisters have the support of their mates and Noel feels alone and lost. Nathan knows that Noel is struggling to deal with the loss of her parents and sister but he has no idea how to help her. He once tried to stand by her side only to be rejected. Or so he thought!
I loved this novella. We got to see how the pack was preparing to spend their holidays. We got at least one scene with every couple and as always, I especially enjoyed Lucas and Vivian’s scenes! They are just soooo adorable! I’m also glad to see the pack so relaxed, bonded and happy to enjoy such a special time.
A truly awesome Christmas surprise!

A Mate for Christmas, book 7 of the Moon Shifter series, is one of the sweetest, most touching holiday reads ever! This is one of my favorite series written by Katie Reus, and sharing the holiday season with all my favorite mated characters, experiencing new HEAs, as well as being a part of the secret happy news within the pack, made this read just perfect!
While a holiday novella, it is not recommended as a stand-alone. But with such a wonderful series, reading the series from the beginning will be a pleasure. :)
I love this one... highly recommended shifter series (and definitely a re-read series for me)!

This is the last book in the Moon shifter series and it feels a bit bittersweet. It was fun visitning the couples again! My favorite males are Jayce,Aldric and Noah.Sigh.But all the males are yummy really.Katie Reus is an amazing author.<3I recommend you read the other books before starting this one!
A nice heartwarming tale with this series. I liked that we got to see how so many of the couples are doing, see one couple become a couple another just start on the path. The pack seems to be growing in leaps and bounds and everyone is so excited with all the additions.
What a fantastic read! This book contains so many wonderful holiday stories with some of our favorite characters. I love how we got to see what each couple was doing to celebrate the holidays as well as finally getting to see some anticipated connections. The author really drew me and I couldn’t put it down until the end. I enjoyed this quick holiday read and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Noel Cordona lost her parents and a sister, she didn't feel like celebrating Christmas. Everyone around her was moving forward while she felt like her world came to a standstill.
An unexpected kiss from one of her packmates Nathan O'Neil made Noel feel more alive than she did in the past year. But she was too afraid to read too much into that kiss.
Nathan O'Neil had always had a crush on Noel Cordona. After she lost members of her family, she'd never been the same again. She felt as if she was too broken for him but she underestimated his patience and persistence.
He was willing to wait for her as long as it took her to come out of her grief. Nathan wanted to help Noel carry the burden and he was going to do just that no matter what the beautiful she-wolf had to say.
It was a delightful pleasure to see some many of the previous characters making a cameo. Ana and Connor's Christmas was the start of new beginnings, Erin and Noah were too adorable. Niko and Gloria, what can I say about this couple, they complemented each other.
Liam and December were more in love than ever. Kat and Jayce were cute and in love as the other mated couples but Kat as always was up to her mischievous ways. Aldric and Natalia were happy that their loved ones were all happy. Aiden and Larissa, the latter gave the former some unexpected news.
Angelo and Brianna were fabulous as ever, their family was also growing. Parker and Maria those two were dancing around each other for months until Parker finally took the plunge and made his intentions clear to Maria.
It was a treat to see Noel and Nathan finally giving in to their feelings. But also it was great to see the Armstrong-Cordona pack finding happiness after the loss it had suffered.
A MATE FOR CHRISTMAS is the last installment in Katie Reus' MOON SHIFTER series. It was magical and engrossing. Katie Reus ended this incredible series on a beautiful note. It has been an unforgettable journey. Two thumbs up and five stars!

This novella is the seventh and final book in the Moon Shifter series.
Everyone deals with grief differently and wolf shifter Noel Cordona just withdrew from everyone, overwhelmed by the pain of loss of her parents and a sister. A year has passed and it’s Christmas time but she doesn’t feel the holiday as she can’t seem to move on. There’s guilt at the thought of letting herself enjoy the season when her sister will never share it with her again. Wise words from one of her new pack mates send her in the direction she needs to travel to attain healing, it’s taken her this long to be receptive to such a path. And then there’s Nathan, they’d had something beginning before she lost so much and then he wasn’t there anymore or so she thought, she’d been so oblivious to her surroundings. When Nathan steals a kiss she feels alive again but she’s broken inside. What does she have to offer?
The wolf shifter Nathan O’Neill has been biding his time for the past year but his patience is wavering. Watching over Noel from the sidelines hasn’t been easy as he knows she’s his mate but he’d given her time to work through her deep grief having faced such himself a long time ago. When he learns she’d misunderstood his distance all bets are off, he’ll stand by her side as she continues to mend and he’ll break down her walls and show her just how good things could be between them.
This was a very sweet ending to what has been an enjoyable series. We get to see how so many of the couples are doing as they prepare for and then share the holiday, their amusing banter makes you smile. Nathan and Noel’s romance is interspersed between all of the pack updates. The devotion Nathan had is admirable but she was his mate so what else could he do but wait for her to be ready. He is just what she needs and enough time has passed that she’s ready to take the next steps forward.

Author note: A Mate for Christmas is not meant to be read as a stand-alone. Set in the Moon Shifter world, this novella features all your favorite characters in a final wrap-up of the Moon Shifter series.
And what a wrap-up! Most of my favorite couples came together for a final goodbye. I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I heard A Mate for Christmas was the last book in the series. I’m glad it took the course it did. For starters, we have Nathan and Noel. As a person that knows what is like to lose someone very close and see the world around keep on moving while you remain in the same spot, Noel acted very true to her character. I loved their chemistry and how loving and understanding Nathan was with her.
While we got see their relationship bloom, we also got to (re)visit with the other members of the pack; some of them starting their own relationships, some reaching their own HEAs, some even starting a family. I am sad that I won’t be reading about the Cardona-Armstrong Pack anymore but hopeful that one day the author decides to change her mind.
*** I received this book from the author at no cost to me and I volunteered to read it; this is my honest opinion and given without any influence by the author or publisher.***
A Happily Ever After wrap up of the Moon Shifter Crew.
The story starts out with Noel and Nathan. Noel still can't get over her sister's death and thinks that Nathan has abandoned her. Little does she know, he's just been waiting on her to come around. Readers then get a peek into each of the couples from the series to see how their lives have changed over the past year or so and their reaction to Noel and Nathan FINALLY getting together.
Definitely gets you into the Christmas spirit.

REVIEW
This is the final book and I am sad to see it end. This story is a true romance and shows us just how awesome this series has been. This is Noel and Nathan' story although many of the characters from previous books make an appearance which I just love when authors do that. These two have both lost loved ones and it seems they are never on the same page.It seems everyone is going to get a Christmas miracle. And I think possibly this story leaves us hoping the author will come back later on when life is right and give us so much more from this series. If you enjoy shifter stories with angst and romance then I recommend you grab the first book in this series.
I love love this series and can't wait to start the next one these books are so good, it helps me get through the rough days. To see all the Armstrong and Cordona pack mating and finding their happy ever afters again and again all the blessing of babies, cubs, Fae/shifters. Makes me happy beyond anything .
No plot spoilers No potential triggers The characterisation is spot on, with the plotline including all of the Moon Shifter family in a final catch up to round out the series. There is a little swearing and some sex scenes.
I loved revisiting everyone in the pack, this was a great story, I really enjoyed it. I am sorry the series ends, I would have loved the last wolf to get mated.
I was actually more than a little disappointed in the novella. Mostly for the simple fact that I was under the impression that it was an actual novel. So when there was more than one main character in this, I started to get a bit confused. Especially when it started jumping from one perspective to another. Which only made me lose sight of the plot a couple dozen times in the progress of things.
Noel still isn't the same after losing her sister. She's still withdrawn and refuses to get too close to anyone in the pack. Including her very own sister Ana and her mate Connor. An while she's working on her grief -in only a way that she can- the holidays only make it worse for her. Especially around Christmas time. The one time of year that meant a lot to her sister. However, if Nathan has his way Noel won't even have time to think about it. He's been waiting for a little over a year now for her to notice him. In the beginning he stopped by every day to see her, but once she made it clear to him that she needed time to heal he stopped. Nathan respected her wishes for as long as he could, but Noel's time has finally run out. Noel isn't going to be able to push him away anymore, and she's going to have to face him sooner rather than later. Even if it means that Nathan has to give her the wake-up call himself. In the meantime Erin has made the front page as North America's only female Enforcer. In fact, she so popular that they even made her into an action figure. Which annoys her to no end and provides great entertainment for December and Liam. Meanwhile, Kat and Jayce are struggling to raise a teenager who has trust issues of her own. And Kat's powers have only gotten stronger over the last year. However, the best news of all comes straight from Ana herself. Because this Christmas is going to be one that Connor will never forget. Because his present will be the best one of all.
This novella can be found in the romance section of any bookstore. But it could be classified as an adult urban fantasy romance novel. For its full of magic, shifters, and wonderment. However, what's more important is the fact that all the previous novels have finally been finished. Leaving us all with a very satisfying ending to the series. But that doesn't take away from the fact that the actual plot to the novella was all over the place. It bounced back and forth from one character to the next, making it a bit hard to read at times. So with all of this in mind my final recommendation on this novella is only an okay one. For even though it finishes out this series, it's still just a bit boring. So if you're curious as to what happens to everyone then give this novel a go. Otherwise, just don't bother picking it up.

Holy baby boom batman....
LOL. I am not giving away who they are you will have to read it for yourself. Though the story includes vignettes of all your favorite couples in the pack. The story is about Nathan and Noel, who have been skirting around each other for quite a while. They are a touching couple each of who have had to deal with loss in their lives. Like all the other couples they make you want to root for their HEA.
This is a short read around 150 pages, so perfect for an afternoon and that it happens around Christmas time is an added bonus for the season. It was nice to get caught up with all the couples in this series and they all have lots of surprises in store. At times each couple mad me feel a wide range of emotions. Of course it is super sexy. And as always expertly written.

"A Mate For Christmas" by Katie Reus. Book 7 in the Moon Shifters series. *finale...for real!*
Awwww! This was such a heartwarming novella, truly ending the Moon Shifters series. The main romantic couple is Noel and Nathan but in this novella, we get to see all our favourite characters, from the whole series, all get a beautiful ending and a Merry Christmas. It's a complete love-fest!
Noel is depressed over the death of some of her family and Christmas doesn't make it any better. She just wants to forget everything. Maybe Nathan can help her do that. There was an attraction between them a year ago, then he totally backed off. Her feelings didn't change but maybe they could at least have some fun together? If that's all he wants?
Nathan has wanted to be with Noel for over a year now. But when she comes to him for the wrong reasons, he's not about to take advantage. He really wants to court her properly. When he learns there was a misunderstanding between them, he won't let her get away again. Because being together with her would be the best Christmas present ever.
So that's the romance story line in this novella. Add in every other character we've ever seen in this series, including some of the supporting characters getting happy endings and it's one giant love-fest. I was most excited that Niko and Gloria got a happily ever after because the last full length book in the series left that open-ended!
Anyway, this novella was a prefect way to end the series. I absolutely loved it.
“A Mate for Christmas,” is a holiday novella in the Moon Shifter series (#7 to exact). It is short enough to read in an afternoon or an evening.
The story starts out with Noel encountering her former love interest, Nathan. She isn’t interested in Christmas at all. I mean, she really hates it. Her sister had been murdered earlier in the year, leaving her lonely and at odds with the holiday. Seeing him made her feel better for reasons I won’t go into in this review. *No spoilers*
I would have been content to read just the story of Noel and Nathan but there was so much more packed into this little bundle of reading joy. It touched on all of the characters in the Moon Shifter series, the most recent being Natalia and Aldric. It was cool to see characters I’d not seen in a long time (or had flat forgotten about) come together in this book and enjoy the spirit of the season.
There were a few steamy scenes in it but thankfully, they didn’t override the essence of the book overall. The book was short, sweet, and quite enjoyable, earning it five stars.
*I received this book as an advance reader copy in return for an honest review.
This is a great book; this is the seventh book in the Moon Shifter series written by Katie Reus. After recently losing her parents, packmates and a sister, Noel Cordona isn’t even close to being in the holiday spirit. It seems that everyone around her is moving on and happy, but she can’t seem to get it together. With a little holiday magic, he can help her overcome the weight of her grief and show her that opening her heart to him is the best Christmas gift he could ever give her. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.
I loved this ending! it's always a little bittersweet saying goodbye.
Well folks this is the last book in the moon shifters series and I loved how everything came together.
Nathan is one of the last single wolf in the pack. He is super sweet, patient and understanding. He is still pretty Alpha in all the ways that count. Noel is depressed. she's lost so many family members to the war that shes basically given up happiness. Seeinf these 2 come together is so sweet and touching you cant help but feel the holiday spirit.
We got a little glimpse into all the other characters/ couples from previous books as well and a little insight into what's coming to them. Whether it's a bigger step into their relationship, new pack members *hint hint* or hijinks as normal. I loved the jokes about Erin! I don't want to spoil it so just read this! You'll love it! All tied up in a nice red bow of awesomeness!

Everyone handles grief differently so everyone tries to Noel the space they think she needs and that she feels she needs. The Christmas holidays do no change that for Noel because it just makes her miss her family that much more and it seems everyone around her is happy and moving on with their lives. That is until that kiss......
Noel and Nathan had gotten really close the previous year until tragedy struck. Then their growing relationship was put on hold. That is until that kiss........
Noel and Nathan work through her grief and misunderstanding to work on building a life together. Now Noel feels like celebrating the Christmas holidays and missing her family doesn't hurt so much. The rest of pack also find lots to celebrate.
