Abandonner un livre en arrivant quaisement à la page 300, ça doit être rare. J'ai pourtant beaucoup apprécier les dix premiers tomes, mais un profond ennuie persiste ici et j'espère toutefois lire le tome 12, sans encombre.

Angelique and company have come to New France - the city of Quebec - to face their enemies. But all they all enemies? There appear to be some who do not think she is the Demon (which she very well knows she is not, having faced and won against the Duchess of Maudribourg last summer/fall in Acadia) but there are also friends, and faces from the past who may not be friends.

Angelique is thrilled to be in a town over winter, but there are dangers here, and she and Joffrey need to play the game and determine who is on their side, even though they come with power (5 ships, more cannon and soldiers than the city itself has).

Still fascinating - a bit more difficult to get through since this is one of the originals I have that is only in French, but I persevere and enjoy. Now onto part 2 of same.

C'était supposé être LE livre qui consacre Angélique dans le Nouveau Monde. Finalement, ça c'est avéré être un livre à propos de la vie de tous les jours à Québec. Le hic c'est que 900 pages c'est plutôt long pour décrire la vie de tous les jours.

L'intérêt s'amenuise à chaque tome, qui plus est je ne reconnais plus le personnage de Jeoffrey.
