Classic Chillers

Rate this book
Each of the nine timeless ghost stories in Classic Chillers by masters like E.F. Benson or H.G. Wells will ensnare you in other realms. Savor them, as toasted marshmallows ooze off a stick and a campfire lights up a small, friendly circle within the dark (and hostile?) forest. A cool breeze ripples the leaves overhead, an owl hots, a branch cracks. Will anyone's hair turn white overnight? Be warned--and enjoy these tales!

Fantastic compilation of old scary stories. My Dad used to tell us the Wendigo story around the fire on camping trips growing up. First time for me reading the actual text.

If I hadn't been reading it for the library's summer reading program, I would have returned it before finishing.

Boring and wordy. I had to force myself to finish the book!
