I read this book via Kindle Unlimited.
This volume was surprisingly quite emotional in spots. Miu has found out that the effects of Cherry Soup is starting to wear off and she can't live forever. One day she will die, and that day gets closer and close every time she gets hurt or injured, the cherry soup is making her an actual zombie who is going to die. She decides that because of that, she is going to tell Tohno how she feels about him, unfortunately, that is easier said than done. I actually think I enjoyed this volume more than the first, it wasn't as whimsical and immature. It dealt with some very real moments, especially when Miu reflected on leaving her mum and her baby brother behind. I also didn't expect this book to deal with transphobia also, which was an interesting inclusion and well introduced topic to the book.

2020 Read #173
This is a zany little series that would have been perfect as a short anime series with its energy and wit. Volume 2 wasn’t as spot-on as volume 1, but it was still enjoyable and fun, especially if you don’t take it too seriously.

Moc pěkná kresba, jež byla svým způsobem originální. Je to asi poprvé, co jsem viděla takovouhle kresbu vlasů. Pramínky na nich vůbec nebyly naznačeny, a ani od nich nešly žádné odlesky. Není to žádný mínus, ale u světlých vlasů to bylo hodně viditelné. Moc se mi líbily různorodé výrazy obličejů, které byly mnohdy jednoduše nakreslené, avšak výstižně, a i přesto to vypadalo dobře.
Příběh měl rozhodně zajímavý nápad, protože zombie se v shoujo mangách jen tak nevidí. :D Na druhou stranu je to jinak poměrně normální shoujo manga, kde hlavní hrdinka má crush na nejhezčího a nejžádanějšího týpka ve škole.
Hlavní hrdinka Miu mi nějak zvlášť k srdci nepřirostla, zvláště proto, že jsem nechápala její city k Touno-kunovi (ten červnovlasý) a byla neuvěřitelně naivní, pro což nebudu mít nikdy pochopení. Jinak byla poměrně zábavná a šla hned k věci, i co se týče svého milostného zájmu. Tyto dvě vlastnosti oceňuji. Hlavně mi přišla nečekaná ta část, kdy se věřilo, že zanedlouho zemře, neboť byla zhruba celou jednu kapitolu v depresi. :D
"Cherry soup" byl velice zajímavý vynález. Kdyby se produkoval ve velkém, rozhodně by vydělal mnoho peněz. Nechápala jsem, proč bylo tak obtížné na tento produkt sehnat suroviny, když to dělal středoškolák, který nemá k vzácným přísadám přístup. Mimochodem by mě zajímalo, na čem to testoval, jelikož to mělo opravdu velikou efektivitu.
Nechápala jsem, co hlavní hrdinka viděla na Touno-kunovi. Sice měli společný zájem, ale o tom nevěděla. dokud ji neviděl s nějakou hororovou knihou. Ke všemu když zjistil, že je zombie, nedokázal s ní ani vydržet v jedné místnosti. I po tom, co mu zachránila život. Také byl jednu dobu úplně alergický na její dotyky, jako já bych si na něj rozhodně vykašlala.
Místo něho bych si vybrala Harua, jenž u ní samozřejmě neměl šanci, neboť to byl její kamarád z dětství. :D Navíc byl také pohledný, navíc chytrý a díky jeho vynálezu i brzo bohatý. :D A bylo vidět, že mu na ní záleží.
Hasegawa, dejme tomu holčina, jež ze začátku šikanuje naši hlavní hrdinku. Tuhle postavu jsem naprosto nepochopila. Avšak mi přišlo milé, že když ji Miu zachránila, začala se k ní chovat poměrně mile.
Obálky se mi velmi líbí, akorát bych změnila barvu poslední, protože se k těm ostatním nehodí. A také bych z každé odendala tu kost, nebo bych ji tam aspoň udělala vícekrát, jelikož mezi ostatní lebky moc nezapadají.

We start off this volume right where we ended in volume one with Miu going to confess to Tohno but Haru and Hasegawa trying to delay it. As Miu navigates living as a zombie, we learn more about Tohno while Haru and Hasegawa are developing a relationship on a common ground.
No review of this manga is complete without mentioning the over the top expressions, in my opinion. They add a light hearted atmosphere to the manga overall, and bring a smile to the reader's face. This volume has more backgrounds present, however still kept the focus on the characters and their emotions. We're down to a limited cast of characters both main and supporting which makes the story more easier to understand and get through.
This volume does get emotional a few times such as, when we venture into Tohno's past and Miu's unpredictable future. The moments unfortunately don't last long and felt more like a passing thought than a reflection. I couldn't really feel for the characters either because this is a short manga series; the characters don't develop naturally but more suddenly and things happen quickly which is reasonable given the series length. Although there is hilarious content and the story has potential to be longer.
Overall, this was a nice addition to the story. It does add a bit more flavor to the characters and their personalities but not enough to be attached. I liked the confusion of emotions in this volume because we have some weirdly jointed overlapping triangles. The next volume is the last so I'm wondering how this series will end.

I've seen this cover a couple times but if it weren't for Zombiethon I'm not sure I would have ever actually checked it out. I was definitely not expecting to completely power through the entire series. So this review is for the whole series. This was absolutely silly. That's the best word I can use to describe it. A light and fun read from start to finish. With a few shockingly emotional scenes I wasn't expecting at all. My only issue with the series is it felt like more needed to happen between characters. To have this cute moment with Tohno and Rio (the Rio moment made me tear up) and absolutely nothing with Haru felt so wrong to me. Justice for Haru!

En esta segunda parte veremos cómo avanza la relación de Miu con Tono, el chico guapo del instituto. Miu va evolucionando poco a poco y se va relacionando más íntimamente con Tono, estrechándose su relación, hasta que este le dice que odia a los zombis. ¿Por qué Tono odia tanto a los zombis pese a que le gustan las historias de terror? ¿Cómo afectará a Miu esta declaración por parte de su amor? Todo esto se aclara en este volumen.
Además de Miu y Tono seguimos teniendo a Haru, el mejor amigo de Miu y su vecino, y a Rio, la atractiva joven que va tras el amor de Tono. Entre estos dos hay una extraña relación de odio, llamándole él a ella "fea", hecho que hace reír. Por otro lado, vemos en este volumen a un Haru siendo totalmente altruista, sacrificando en parte su felicidad por la de Miu. Con estos personajes se va formando un complicado cuadrado amoroso.
La historia de este tomo sigue teniendo momentos de comedia que harán reír al lector en más de una ocasión, con toques románticos y otro más pequeño un tanto gore (recordemos que Miu es un zombi). De entre la comedia puedo destacar el momento en que a Tono le sale un acento provincial (como "zagal" o "esfarriao"), en concreto de una región de Murcia, ya que en japonés el acento que le sale es el de Kansai.
En cuanto a la edición, este segundo tomo está compuesto por cinco capítulos y un bonus. El formato de esta versión es casi idéntico a la edición japonesa. El dibujo de este manga es fantástico. En cuanto a su calificación dentro de un género pues es muy difícil porque tiene característica de muchos, va entre lo romántico y la comedia. Además es super rápido de leer porque la historia también engancha.
En resumidas cuentas, en este segundo volumen la relación amistad-amorosa entre Miu, una chica extrovertida, y Tono, el chico guapo y misterioso, se va estrechando aún más. Pero no por ello habrá ausencia de problemas entre los dos. Además se va a formar un cuadrado amoroso con la intervención de Haru y Rio. Un manga que mezcla de forma perfecta la comedia con el romance. ¿Acabarán Miu y Tono saliendo juntos? Solo recordaré las palabras finales de Conami: "Hasegawa se ha unido a los personajes en la ilustración de la contraportada" y eso es todo por ahora. Nos veremos en el volumen final.

J’avais beaucoup aimé le premier tome et j’étais impatiente de découvrir celui-ci.
Dans cette suite, Miu décide de révéler ses sentiments à Tôno car elle sait qu’à cause des effets de la Cherry Soup, ses jours sont comptés.
Ce tome est un petit peu moins déjanté que le précédent mais je l’ai aimé tout autant que le premier. On découvre un peu plus les sentiments des personnages et Tôno parle un peu de son passé douloureux à Miu.
Il fallait bien une « peste » dans l’histoire. Hasegawa remplit très bien ce rôle et en peu de temps j’en suis arrivée à la détester !
En bref, une suite à la hauteur de mes espérances, j’attendrai avec impatience la sortie du troisième tome prévu pour le mois de décembre !
