Dibujo y colores deliciosos. Hay una luz hacia el final que está tan bien hecha que me he quedado un rato embobada.
La trama es muy de mi estilo.

After really enjoying the first volume of this series, I was looking forward to reading more...
Josie's decided to start her own business, and the story starts after a Tupperware party. LMFAO. Of course, going solo also means more cleaning up and attention to detail. But Josie can manage. She is a housewife with a clueless husband.
The family has now moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida, but it's business as usual and dealing with an even crabbier MIL...
This was so gory! I love it. It's like Dexter meets The Stepford Wives featuring a kick-ass chick.
The way everyday sexism is presented but clearly doesn't at all apply to Josie is perfect. The men are clueless to her strength and cunning and treat her like a delicate trophy, but she doesn't care. She rises above all that because she's got a job to do.
Oh, and the business tips were handy, too.

What's Fabulous About Lady Killer #1
1. God, these books are just so pretty. I just love the artwork and the coloring of these books. There is just a sleek, glamorous look to Jones's art that fits into the time period Lady Killer is set and the story she tells.
2. Yes, violent dismemberment! There is nothing more satisfying to my feminist heart than to see a strong female assassin in a 50s outfit violently murdering an old women and cutting her apart with a hacksaw. Don't ask me why. It just brings me great joy.
3. Josie giving out business advice as she casually tries to dispose of a body. I have to admire her work ethnic and determination.
4. I'm not sure how other Lady Killer fans feel about this, but I fricking love Gene. I think Gene is just the most adorable clueless 50s husband of an assassin ever to exist. I just think he is just so supportive and loving and a little dopey, but I love it so much. It just gives me great joy to have the husband not really understand what's going on.
5. More graphic violence! More life lessons from Josie! Great cliffhanger! Lady Killer always leaves you wanting the next book immediately.

This series isn't for everyone, but I love it, and this was a really strong start to this second "chapter" of Lady Killer. I would read this comic just as an excuse to look at Joelle Jones's vibrant art of a Mad Men-era housewife murdering people, but I also enjoy the (don't let a knee-jerk reaction put you off) feminist bent of this comic. In this issue in particular, I really enjoyed the way in which stereotypical ideas about housewives and the "American ideal" of hard work were juxtaposed, ironically, with panels of Josie killing people and cleaning up their bodies.

5 Stars! ★★★★★
Vol 2 is just as good as the first if not better. Josie went into business for herself and seeing all the trouble coming her way is making my poor little heart race. And This cliff hanger… I almost forgot how to breathe! Love it! Love it! Love it!

A 60's housewife who's secretly a killer-for-hire? I'm in! The artwork was great. The attention to all the period appropriate details were fantastic, from the styles and colors of the dresses to the wallpaper to the Tupperware pieces on the tables. Wish I had come across the first series before finding this, but now I have something to hunt for. :)

A situação de Josie se complica a cada assassinato!
Compreendo a sua vontade de demonstrar e evidenciar suas habilidades, mas a cada novo acontecimento, fico apreensiva com a possibilidade de algo sair errado ou piorar o que já está meio ruim!!

Our lady tries to make her own name as a killer without a supervisor this time. Strong, spatter first issue and a good start for the second volume.

A very good book
JJ was made for horror comics! I am glad she is doing them now. Her art plus horror go together like peanut butter and chocolate! So sweet!

So by far my favourite new comic. I picked the first two issues up on a whim and I'm so glad I did. I can't even begin to say how much I loved the art in this. It's gorgeous. It's perfect and sharp and beautiful. The writing is great, it's funny and engaging. If you read comics read this. If you don't read comics start with this. I know have to wait until Monday for Amazon to deliver the first collected Volume of the first series. Monday is a long time away.

I missed out on the first Lady Killer series, but that didn't stop me from following along. The art is gorgeous and the violence is brutal. It works while playing/mocking the genre of perfect housewife. The cliff-hanger at the end doesn't drive my interest for the next issue as much as the other "smaller" problems our protagonist will have to sort out.
