An absolute delight! Filled to the brim with colorful vintage illustrations, story excerpts, recipes, superstitions, folklore and much much more. The perfect Halloween read! ✨🎃✨

A word on editions; the softcover edition of this is missing roughly one third of the content. Not sure if it's because of the binding or what, but to enjoy the full volume as intended, be sure to get the hardcover edition.

I ran out of time to read much of this, but I enjoyed skimming through it and the few spells and poems and factoids I read were suitably spooky-fun and suitable. I think my favorite aspect was the wonderful collection of Victorian illustrations--so beautiful and utterly charming.

I really liked the stories and vintage Halloween pictures. The only issue I had was the Robert Bloch story was cut off mid sentence and isn't continued anywhere in the book. I would really like to read the ending so I have to get a different book with the same story.

This book is so darn cute! I love the little recipes and quirks the author throws in there. I'll be purchasing this book for my future children without a doubt!
