I've decided to read The Secrets of Droon series entirely for Christmas since i've been feeling a bit nostalgic. I want to be able to live a bit of the magic of being a kid and what beeter to help than this incredible series. I know that this series is for young kids but i feel it will still be great after all these years. A fun and action-filled adventure. This book centers on Julie and her discovery of her third power. The gang is accompanied in this adventure by Eric's parents who go to help, more or less, find a cure for Eric. This was a good book with plenty of action, fun, magic, hope, adventure and we meet some new, interesting allies.
My 9 year old son and somewhat reluctant reader brought this book home from his school library. Any book that he brings home and is interested in - I am happy about. I somewhat felt though that it was hard to review this book as it is like #40 in a series and it took some time to not feel like I didn't know the characters or what was going on... But it didn't seem to bother my son and whatever gets him reading I am game :) a fantasy series somewhat in the vein and reading level of The Magic Treehouse series - my son and I look forward to checking out the beginnings of this series.
its about Eric is cursed by Gethwing and the only way to save him is to get fazool a poison so they figure out the fazool is in Koomba but Koomba has vanished since the war that happened so they go under ground then they come to the beast that guards it so while the others attack the monster Julie gets past the monster and soon figures out that the monster is the fazool so they turn the monster in to green snow and get the fazool.
Julie, Neal, and Keeah search for the lost and very poisonous drop of Fazool to make an antidote for Eric. They meet the Sand Children and their leader while trying to fend off the bad guys.
