My failure to prevent a particularly nasty demon from completing a ritual to open a portal may have doomed us all unless I can stop what came through. That, of course, is easier said than done. As Brian gets the hang of being a demon, AND being a knight AND being Raphael's lover; things will become more complicated.
A nasty demon is on the loose killing families with young children and trying to open a gate for Adriel’s half brother and his bloodthirsty army from hell.
A new demon, Lord Rohan, is also summoned by Adriel in order to help Brian but he is too new and too horny to help much for the time being. Brian and Raphael will be responsible for him and they will teach him a few tricks. I really hope that he will be more helpful in the next book.
The book ends with a cliff-hanger that I did not see coming and neither did Brian. He should have been more careful in the past with Sheila’s brother...
Mind blowing book and I think I will start next book now :)

Dammmmn, that cliffhanger!!! Please don't let us wait for another 3 months... :(
I loved that the plot is really thickening!! My favorite moments were with Raphael and Brian together.
Brian was still walking around, ready to jump every attractive man or woman for that matter. So that bothered me some.
Cause really man, Raphael is your true mate!!
But Brian finally figured it out. Halleluja!!
“We can’t do this here, Sir,” I said, panting as heavily as he was.
“Besides, I have a mate. He should know what’s going on.”

Nicholas Bella is absolute king of dark fantasy gay erotica. I can only dream how hot this would be in straight context, but there's something irresistible and fascinating in straight man being turned into cock obsessed male slut hungering for male cock. This time, it's about demon pulled out from hell via very dark ritual (it includes very gory bloodshed of whole family with little kids, so watch out if it's your trigger). The demon, kinda in the same manner as main protagonist, gets introduced to wordly pleasures. Because in hell, of course, he never knew pleasure. But he seems to have always known he was something of a bisexual. So no complaints from him when he "randomly" gets assigned to the cock school of fuck and becomes a real academic in the matter.

I shouldn’t say this but getting so wrapped up in a story and trying to anticipate where the author might be taking you, coming up with scenarios and thoughts like some crazy, obsessive fan-girl, and then getting it right can, in some instances, be such a fucking turn on! Finished this book and went, “Haha, I fucking knew it!”
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying this author is predicable. No, no never, because he can hit you with the most unexpected twists and turns, but in this instance my usually slow arse just picked up the clues. However, on that subject will I say no more…
What I will say is the tone of Chance was in some ways refreshingly different. Yes, it was sexy as fuck, that is a given with this author. It contained the prerequisite gore, bloodthirstiness and demony-angst that all his fans require in a Nicholas Bella novella. Something scary has arrived, but something more terrifying is coming, something that will shake the very foundations of all demondom upon the earth, and of course all humanity will get caught in the middle. But beneath this mega doom and gloom Nicholas has imbued this novella with the sweetness of domesticity. Brian and Raphael’s relationship can only be described as, “sooo cute”. I know Raphael is a hard-arsed demon, and Brian is trying to be but some of their interactions just created ‘awww’ moments for me and unlike the previous instalment ‘Lovelorn’ this time I really felt it - their connection - and I really enjoyed it. It was like a pause, a breath of fresh air amongst the turmoil, and I just loved it. Honestly, I can’t wait for more.

In this book, Brian is tasked with taking down another serial killer, who is really an evil demon trying to raise an even bigger threat against his king. Brian helps his king raise another demon to help him take down the threat and he and Raphael have to help this newcomer acclimate to being topside. On top of all that a cliffhanger at the end is going to be super exciting!!

OMG, that ending! Yet another awesome addition to a great series. I'm a little surprised that Brian seems to have forgotten all about Adriel's requirement of gaining souls though making deals, but maybe that'll be a plot in a future book.

This series continues to take shape and the storyline is developing quite nicely, I must say, although I am still a little puzzled over the woman on the cover and who she is exactly. *scratches head*
Brian and Raphael can blow the covers off this series for sure....phew they are HOT HOT HOT!! I love them and their relationship while unconventional for sure, is true. I refuse to believe anything or anyone can come between them. The words and actions between them in this installment rise to a whole new level of intimacy...which was amazing.
Adriel can continue to step on legos. I will never like this character.
Rohan is damn intriguing. While he has a bit of fun with our boys, and while it seems off putting at times, it really wasn't. I understood this and Brian and Raphael make it ok.
We meet the fabulous ginger Demon, Agent Wheeler...my my my. *huge heart eyes for this guy*
And the cliffhanger?!?! Well, well, well...unbelievable and intriging...and the fact that Raphael felt what was coming as well as Brian, made this all the better.

Keeps Getting Better
Bella raises the bar with every episode in both his series. Warning though, if you are squeamish or have a problem with extremely hot sex between men then these books are not for you. Don't read them then give a bad review. Bella puts the same warning at the start of each book, take heed. Absolutely nothing is held back.
That said, I love how his mind works! Brian us facing his most brutal case so far. After feeling good about catching the last demon he's also feeling guilty about not being able to save any of the sacrificial young girls. Worse yet, the portal that opened let through a real nasty piece of work. She is now making more gruesome sacrifices to open a portal that will bring a truly powerful demon through. One who wants to really bring help on earth and take down King Adriel. Quite a shock to find out who he is. In order to help stop this the King brings forth his most powerful and loyal Lord. Lord Rohan has never been in a human body before and needs to learn how to control all the desires humans have. Brian has been partnered with him and was ordered to do anything to help Rohan get through this. Since Raphael is his Mate, he must also help. Made for a very exciting threesome. In this episode, Brian is learning much more about the hierarchy and where he fits in. He's also learning to be more assertive with lower level demons. There alot of new and interesting details revealed in this episode. This one can't be missed.

The Demon Gate Series has been a blast to read, Nicholas Bella just keeps dangling us on his hook wanting more after each book. I received the ARC of this seventh book in the series "Chance" to read and give my honest review.
It picks up right where Lovelorn ended, smooth and no bumps detailed and intriguing. Brian has come a long way into coming in his own. He still has bouts with and how humans are treated, which still gets him in a bit of trouble. He and his stunningly gorgeous mate Rafael as pretty much setttled into life.
When a family is masacred Brian and his partner Shelia are put on a task force to find the killer. Brian's King steps and gives Brian a partner on this special case. Which seems to be a good thing, because this case is all bad in a truely evil way.
A very powerful demon is loose, bigger and badder than Brian this time. Sit back and be enthralled by the case that has to be solved, by watching Rafael and Brian take on a new responsibility, to feeling the hot truely intense scenes between demons and mates. Of course Nicholas throws in a wrench, will it help? will it hinder?

Brian has fully embraced his Agato and has become totally immersed in his life with Raphael and the Society. Hs hunting a Demon who plans on releasing King Adriel's half brother who plans on destroying the human race. The king brings up one of his best Hellhounds Lord Rohan from the bowels of Hell to help Brian, Raphael and the Society hunt the demon down and close the portal. The only problem with this is Lord Rohan has never been up here and in posessing a human is distracted by the desires of the "meat sack" he's joined. So Brian and Raphael are tasked with caring for Lord Rohan's desires.
I love the fact that this series has a damn good plot and some damn hot and steamy M/M sex and a real sexy threesome. This is by far one of my favourite series and this episode is amazing and leaves me wanting more.

I love how Brian is becoming more self-confident as an Agoto demon and now we understand why families are being murdered in such gruesome fashion. These murders must end before the summoning ritual is complete before a dark, powerful enemy emerges. We are seeing more characters become visible and their purposes revealed as it relates to protecting King Adriel's throne. Raphael and Brian's relationship has reached new heights and their bond strengthens because of their feelings for one another. It looks like a new Agoto demon will be born soon to bring spice to their relationship making it complete. I cannot wait to read the 8th book of the Demon Gate Series: Havoc.

What can I say except Nicholas Bella is a true genius! Once I started reading this book there was nothing else! I read it from cover to cover not once but twice! Some series start to die out the longer they get. That can never be said of Nicholas Bella's series!!!! This book blew my mind and left me with my jaw almost dragging the floor! Be prepared for a cliffhanger that will drive you absolutely crazy!! Now all us true Bellaholic fans have to wait for book 8 Havoc to come out! Please Master Bella don't make us wait to long! I swear I wish I was a Ratoka Demon. To find out what that is you have to read the book!

WOW! This book was one of my favorites of the series. Brian is getting more powerful, he’s starting to really connect with his Agoto and with his life partner. New demons are rising from Hell, and OTHER matches and connections are being made. It’s chaos in full bloom.
There’s a sadistic demon on the loose causing havoc and horrific murders just so she can raise ANOTHER demon who can rival Brian and Raphael’s King. DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNN!
This story was super-hot and sexy, it was gory at times, but it’s the Demon Gates Series, people! There’s suspense and O M G the cliffy at the end. I screamed MORE! I did.
I can’t wait for more of this series and if you haven’t started it, go now!

This story was super-hot and sexy, it was gory at times, but it’s the Demon Gates Series, people! There’s suspense and O M G the cliffy at the end. I screamed MORE! I did.
I can’t wait for more of this series and if you haven’t started it, go now!

Wow! I love this series. For me it is a toss up of which of his series I like the most. I love the progression of Brian and Raphael's relationship so much. The way Brian is coming into his role and keeping his humanity in tact and and the same time losing some of it. I can't wait to read them all again. That being said.... I may have a breakdown waiting for the next book. OMG!! PLEASE HURRY MR. BELLA AND MS. RYAN!!

I won this book in Nicholas take over.
I must say the DG series it's differetnt than NH series but not less exciting.
I am a huge fan of Nicholas Bella, he's books may not be for everybody, but he's dark stories always got the brightest thing of the human kind ... love. Dark sensual, not always with consent but with a HEA for the parties.
I am waiting for the next book !

Awesome and hot as hell read!! I can't get enough of Brian and Raphael, it's amazing to see how their reletionship developes and how Brian gets more and more comfortable in his new role as Knight and Raphaels mate. And with this ending...I so Need the next book!

3.5 stars Fun story that is PWP. I wish there was more plot here, because the author has great ideas. But they are used as merely a candy wrapper for the sex. I liked it anyway, and will read the series.
