Nachdem ich die Vampirreihe, beendet habe, dachte ich mir muss ich mit dieser Reihe endlich weitermachen. :) Zurück in der Welt der Hüter. Tessa muss man einfach lieben, auch deshalb, weil sie nicht perfekt ist. Außerdem sich behaupten kann und für ihre Prinzipien einsteht. Hamish ist auch ein Kerl, den man schnell in sein Herz schließt. Es beginnt spannend und fesselt einen schnell an die Geschichte. Erst verläuft alles wie ein Thriller, mit einer Prise Liebe. Doch kommt dann bald die Magie dazu und die Dämonen tauchen auch vermerkt auf. Der Thrillerfaktor ist hier hoch und das gefällt mir total. Ich habe die Geschichte verschlungen und werde mir nach und nach auch die anderen Bänder holen.

It's been years since I read the first book of this series. But still I can remember the important parts and the gist of this world. I read the first book when I was at my lowest and remembered the way the book drew me in. I can also remember Hamish, with his unique name.
I decided to read this finally because I discovered that somewhere, somehow a crossover from Scanguards will happen on this series. I love that series so I decided to continue with this series.❤
The main characters on this book is Hamish, a Stealth Guardian and Tessa, a human. The war between the demons and the Stealth Guardians are still brewing with Zoltan as now the head of the demons. I was again drawn into this world. 😁
The old crew is also here: Aiden, Leila, Enya, Manus and others. And imagine my surprise when 😁

I enjoyed this story, set in the same world as Scanguards. If you are a fan of that series, you will no doubt enjoy this one as well. Wesley, our favourite Scanguards witch makes an appearance in Master Unchained and I get the feeling we are going to see a lot more of him in the next book ;)

I’m happy we immediately got to circle back to Hamish in this book and he definitely gets a karmic hit after all the ribbing he did about mates in the previous book.
Hamish has been burned before by someone he thought was his mate, but was really the enemy in disguise. It’s no surprise that he is slow to trust and happy to avoid women most days. After recently turning down a position on the ruling body of their kind, he couldn’t very well turn down a guardian assignment, too. He wants to, though, when he is tasked with protecting a woman and pretending to be her boyfriend. Tessa, the woman in question, is just as angry about the arrangement, since the deciding event for a “bodyguard” was a series of death treats. It’s not a huge surprise, because she’s running for office on a platform to clean up a city decimated by crime. It’s this battle that aligns Tessa and Hamish fully, making them reluctantly accept the situation.
This would be good and well, but this secret Stealth Guardian ends up giving up his secret rather quickly when demons attack. Throw in a mystery, more attempts on her life, and oodles of sizzling sexy times, and you’ve got the romantic love story of Tessa and Hamish. Do they fight? Oh yeah, they fight. But all that ends up making the HEA we get even sweeter. Another good one for the series, especially because we officially merge this and the other world of this author at the end here.

At first they pretend that they are in a relationship but soon feelings emerge. Together can they survive the demon attacks?? Who is the one who is actually trying to kill her?

Been a long time since I read the first book and even longer since a Scanguards Vampire has graced my reading pile.
Remembered most of the plot line from book 1 so didn’t struggle too long to get into it.
Enjoyed this story with Hamish and Tessa.
Will read the next in the series as it is about Wesley.

Honestly, this was worse than the first book. Which makes me sad because I loved Folsom's Scanguard Vampire series. Even with a character in common, this series just does not live up to the expectation. I will not be reading the rest of the series and I'm kind of wondering if I were to re-read the Scanguard series if I enjoy it as much as I did years ago...

A very enjoyable read. I like all of the characters, they made the book a fun read. Also the fact that Scanguards Vampires are merging into the series is fantastic. Can't wait to begin reading Wesley story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this second book. Once again it was full of action and made for compulsive reading.
Stealth Guardians make for an interesting new story-line. Something different to read.
I would recommend reading this book and i am looking forward to reading the next one.

I enjoyed Hamish and Tessa's story, and loved the crossover with Wesley, he brought humour to the story, can't wait to read his book. The demons were a bit weak I thought, didn't seem that much of a threat, but I'm sure they will prove me wrong as the series goes on

"Master Unchained" by Tina Folsom. Book 2 in the Stealth Guardians series.
I really enjoyed this book about Hamish, a Stealth Guardian whose mission is to protect Tessa, a human running for the office of Mayor of Baltimore.
Tessa doesn't know it but she's been targeted by demons and Hamish is the only one that has a chance of protecting her. He's closed off his heart to any type of relationship, so there's no chance he can fall for Tessa and compromise his mission. Except Tessa is nothing like what he's been told. She's feisty and stubborn and for the first time in years, Hamish is having trouble concentrating on his mission.
With demons and her political rival out to destroy Tessa's reputation, her campaign manager trying her best to deal with scandles, worrying about her father's health, Tessa has a lot to deal with. And now she has to pretend to be boyfriend and girlfriend with her bodyguard? Tessa's life just changed by leaps and bounds now that she's been introduced to the preternatural world. Will she even survive until the election? Hamish is determined to protect her but what happens after? When the threat is gone? Hamish will be gone too.
I really enjoyed the story line in this book. Very intriguing and enough twists and turns to keep my attention. The story flowed really well and is very well paced. Action, humour and romance all mixed in perfect balance. The sexual chemistry between Tessa and Hamish is spot on. Very hot. A great teaser ending involving a character from The Scangaurds series!! Wesley is a crossover character connecting the two series!

Love the cross over with Scanguards. This is Hamish and Tessa's story. While it can be read as a standalone it's better to read the first one in the series. Both characters are well developed and I like that Tina has made Tessa very believable. I mean, when confronted with an immortal guardian and demons who wouldn't go a bit crazy.
We are seeing the plot develop further from the first book with something going on with the demons. A few surprises and the introduction of a beloved character from Scanguards made this another enjoyable read. The witch needs his story next!

Awesome story
Tina has done it again Tessa and Hamish story is so worth the wait. I couldn't put it down it's a love story with great adventure that will keep you guessing till the end of what's going to happen next. She even brought in a old friend to the story. I'm excited to read the next one and I'm hoping we don't have to wait to long!! ;)

I loved the first one and was really waiting for this one and was great.
the guardians and charges and the story that give us a sensation we are not alone in this world even make believe is wonderful, I love Tina's writing I love the Scanguard vampires, so this one is beautiful and nice to read....

Great series so far and I love how it's connecting with Scanguards. Love Hamish and Tessa is awesome and they're good together just as Aiden and Leila in book 1. I can't wait for more Stealth Guardians!
