I spent all of my free time as a teenager & young adult at First Avenue in Minneapolis attending rock shows. This book features fantastic photography by Daniel Corrigan of all the musical legends from the Twin Cities. I have so many wonderful stories and memories from the shows and musicians in this book. Ask me about my Rachael Olsen/Ana Voog & Dave Pirner tales sometime! Long live First Ave.

A beautiful showcase of the evolution and variety of music that came from Minneapolis. All told by the legendary Dan Corrigan's magnificent photographies.

Daniel Corrigan's HEYDAY was also mine. These photos bring back so many memories and so cool to be able to say, "Hey! I was at that show!" I was thrilled to see two of my friends in this book, even though they were not mentioned by name: Mark Larson of The Widgets and "Big Bad Bokes" (Matt Bockley) of Roy G. Biv. A fun trip down memory lane.

If you ever spent any time at First Ave in the 80's or 90's or were into the local band scene at that time you will love this book. Great memories!
