100 things you should know about Ancient Egypt is a great book, which I believe would be very useful in the classroom. The book breaks down the various aspects of life in Ancient Egypt so it will appeal to both boys and girls. Sections include "Tombs and Temples", "Making Mummies", "War and Enemies" and "Fun and Games" but to name a few. The book is well laid out with each section containing fun facts, games, craft tasks or quizzes. The author divides the fun fact into similar topics so it is easy to follow and may compliment the students own textbook. I think this book will be useful in adding further detail to lessons it may also be a useful aid to teachers, creating a more fun project ideas. It could also be read at home by students. The book relies heavily on pictures in addition to the text so it will help students observational skills and arouse their curiosity. Children can explore Ancient Egypt through the fun cartoons, and may help students who don't particularly enjoy history.
I feel this book would be a useful tool for teachers in the classroom and also for students who may be reluctant in reading about history. It is a fun and interactive book. It uses great animation and is clearly laid out for easy reading.
